Even though it’s a Club Floor Room, the sofa was covered in stains.

This was my second stay. When I entered the Room on the 30th-floor club level, I was shocked. The sofa was covered in stains, and I didn’t want to sit on it or even look at it. My husband draped his bathrobe over it as a cover, but even he didn’t want to sit there—it was that dirty. I was surprised and regretted staying. The amenities were also disappointing. There wasn’t even a brush at the amenity bar—only a thin comb. Since I had brought only one set of basic skincare, I asked if they could provide another set, but the male staff member at the front desk responded coldly that they don’t provide them, but they are available for a fee. There was little explanation; he only emphasized “please ask if you have questions.” I stay at hotels about twice a month, and from the start this felt worse than a Business Hotel in both service and atmosphere. There was no body towel in the Room, and of course no bath salts or similar items. In the end, I didn’t use the bathtub in the Room. The good points were the lounge—the food selection was more plentiful than before, and the staff service felt pleasant. When I went for afternoon tea, there were people waiting for sandwiches; it felt somewhat casual, and replenishment couldn’t keep up. I gave mine to my husband and ended up not eating any myself. I hope you can improve this. It was good that we could use the pool, but it felt a bit old. It was also disappointing that we couldn’t use the sauna or bath from morning. The front desk staff at checkout were pleasant—I just wanted to go home quickly and take a bath. Overall, it was a somewhat disappointing summer stay.

    Cleaning

The Room was thoroughly cleaned. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied. However, we noticed dirt on the glass windows in the 4th-floor buffet venue and in our Accommodation Room. We understand that with so many Rooms it is difficult to manage everything, and cleaning windows from the exterior walls is not easy, but when enjoying the view outside, dirty windows are a bit disappointing—so we would appreciate your attention to this. We felt the service was close to perfect.

Amazing value for money! We were very satisfied with our two-night stay!!

We stayed for two nights with lounge access! We were completely satisfied with everything—breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktail time. There were even four types of drinks prepared in the refrigerator. The service was truly attentive, and thanks to you we were able to fully enjoy our first trip sightseeing in Kobe. Thank you very much!

    The club lounge is excellent.

We stayed on the club floor this time, and the club lounge had a very calm atmosphere, which was great. We used both afternoon tea and cocktail time, and there was a good variety of cakes and light snacks—everything was delicious! Also, we had breakfast at the buffet, and everything was tasty. The live-kitchen omelet and rice balls were especially good. The Room having a unit bath even on the club floor was a bit disappointing, but we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.

    No special feeling

I chose this Hotel for the ANA brand and the lounge, so I’m going to be candid and share my feedback and requests. 1. Staff training needed At the front desk: “Is there a bath at the gym?” “I’ll check.” I was then told, “Please go and see,” and it ended there. At the club lounge: “What is the building visible from the window?” “I’ll check.” (No answer afterward.) 2. Like a Business Hotel, you have to pick up amenities yourself, but there was no lotion. When I asked, I was told it is available for purchase. 3. Low lounge quality The beer was Kirin Ichiban (nothing special). The hors d’oeuvres and breakfast were also average. I had high expectations because ANA Hiroshima was great, so this was disappointing. 4. Perhaps because of the uniforms, grooming looked too casual and did not feel refined. That said, the person who seemed to be the manager near the front desk in the morning truly looked like a professional hotelier.

    Stayed on the Club F...

Stayed on the Club Floor. Last time, the lounge was extremely crowded when I stayed on a Sunday in May, so I expected the same this time (Saturday), but it was surprisingly quiet—about one-third of before—so there was always plenty of space and I could relax. During the day, it felt a bit warm inside the lounge, and a family of four guests from overseas was quite disruptive: their children were loud, put their shoes on the chairs, lifted their feet onto seats, climbed onto chair backs and even up the wall area, lay down, etc., which was very unpleasant. Aside from that, I really enjoyed being able to relax in the lounge this time. Since children are not allowed during cocktail time, it was honestly such a relief. At breakfast as well, they ended up right next to us and were still doing whatever they wanted. The parents also acted arrogant and unapologetic, which really brought my mood down whenever I saw them. It may be difficult to warn guests about putting shoe soles on chairs, but if possible I would like staff to address it. It’s unsettling to think someone might sit there afterward without knowing. Check-in and check-out were smooth and great. However, there was no guidance at all about things like the club lounge—no paper information in the Room and no information on TV either—so when I called the front desk they told me to check the website... That really surprised me. Is that kind of rough guidance normal? I feel like there used to be printed information before. First-time guests might not even realize there is a lounge... I had to check the website myself and took screenshots of lounge hours and breakfast hours. It seemed like breakfast had just passed its busiest period; some items ran out at times (including cups), but when I asked they refilled them quickly. The omelet, rice balls, fruit, and soft-serve ice cream were delicious. It was disappointing that there was no sea bream chazuke—it wasn’t available last time either—so please remove it from your website. Also, for Club Floor access you have to tap your card key in the elevator before selecting your floor; my card often didn’t respond easily so it was frustrating. Please check this as well. If there’s a trick to using it properly, please let me know. If the lounge stays this quiet again, I’d love to use it again.

It was my first stay in two and a half years.

This was my first time using the Club Floor. The lounge, located on the 37th floor and set on higher ground than the city center, offered outstanding views, and I really liked both the interior design and the staff. The cocktail-time snacks were more unique than at other ANA hotels, which I appreciated. I had planned to have breakfast on the 4th floor, but after seeing a large group of foreign tour guests in the lobby, I changed my mind. Instead, I used the lounge; while the selection was limited, it was relaxing to enjoy my meal while taking in the view from the windows. That’s one of the perks of having lounge access. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, but there was no explanation or information anywhere about the drinks in the minibar, and I only found out later that they were complimentary. I would like to stay here again.

Stay in a Club Standard Double Room

The Room was on a high floor with a great view and was very comfortable. The club lounge was excellent, offering a wide variety of sweets and sandwiches at tea time, and high-quality options at cocktail time including meat and fish dishes as well as alcoholic beverages. Breakfast was also well equipped, with features such as a live kitchen. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

A Midsummer Night View of Kobe and Beer

This is a Hotel we stay at several times every year. It’s less than an hour’s drive from home—just the right distance for a weekend staycation. This time, our Room was upgraded to a suite, so we were able to stay on the same 37th floor as the club lounge. The Room felt great simply because it was spacious, and the TV screen was huge. The World Cup final was on in the morning, and we really enjoyed watching it on such a big screen. Our goal as a couple is to stretch out in the large public bath, enjoy the sauna, and have beer while taking in the evening skyline view during lounge hours. After quenching our thirst with beer while snacking on thick-cut potato chips and fried conger eel tempura, we move on to highballs and sake. In particular, mixing shochu with sake at a 1:3 ratio is slightly sweet and dangerously easy to drink. The next morning, we also had a quiet breakfast on the 37th floor. Eating a variety of dishes on the 4th floor is great too; there are fewer options on the 37th floor, but it’s calm and relaxing. Once again, it was a very satisfying staycation for us.

    The Challenge of Maintaining Quality

I was satisfied with the Room view and cleanliness. However, perhaps due to the number of guests and the wider variety of services, I felt the staff’s attentiveness was lacking compared with the price. For example, at check-in the front desk staff guided me without making eye contact, speaking only; and in the buffet area, no one asked guests who were eating while standing (not in the seating area) to stop (some staff did seem to notice). Also, aside from the live omelet station, there was nothing particularly distinctive about the food, and my expectations were too high.

It was a comfortable stay at the Hotel.

I stayed at this Hotel about 20 years ago, and I returned this time for a private trip out of nostalgia. Compared to back then, the facilities have understandably aged, but the pleasant scent throughout the Hotel is wonderful and very relaxing. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance.

    This is a wonderful Hotel.

It was a Plan with Club Lounge access. The service was very courteous, and they kindly accommodated our request to move to a seat with a night view. Since it was also our anniversary, their warm hospitality truly touched us. Thanks to them, it became a wonderful memory—thank you very much.\n\nAll of the Lounge food was delicious, and including the service, I felt it was a Hotel lounge of exceptionally high quality. Breakfast was also varied and tasty. I was happy that they even offered smoothies at our table by asking, “Would you like one?” The staff’s professionalism really stood out in many moments. It was a wonderful Hotel that I would continue to recommend to everyone.

I used the lounge floor. The lounge menu wasn’t very extensive, but it was delicious and satisfying. I’d love to stay again. Sorry for the late Review.

    Excellent value for money.

The Facility is old, but if you can overlook that, I think the service and meals are good for the price. Breakfast may be a matter of personal preference. There is some variety, but there are many side dishes to go with rice, and nothing particularly luxurious. Considering what we paid this time, we were satisfied and would likely stay again when there is a sale price. At the regular price, the club lounge and breakfast selection feel a bit limited.

    Club Suite Stay

We stayed in a Club Suite on the 37th floor. It was a spacious, comfortable Room with great views, and we could also use the pool and other facilities. The club lounge was excellent as well: during tea time there was a wide variety of drinks and sweets, and during cocktail time there was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and hors d’oeuvres, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was also very satisfying, with an omelet station plus a live Japanese kitchen. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay.

A Wonderful Hotel Near Shin-Kobe Station

This Hotel is within walking distance of Shin-Kobe Station. The building and Facilities feel a bit dated, but it is still clean and well maintained, and I think it’s a very good Hotel. Most guests should have a satisfying stay. If I had to note two points for first-time visitors to Kobe when making a Reservation, they would be: - Although it is described as “directly connected to the station,” it is not inside the station building like Hotel Granvia Kyoto at Kyoto Station or the Marriott at Nagoya Station. You can reach the Hotel without getting wet, but it is in the building right in front of the station. (I went down to the first floor after exiting the ticket gates and ended up laughing at myself because I could see the building but couldn’t figure out how to get there.) - Kobe’s main downtown area is around Sannomiya, one stop from Shin-Kobe. So if you plan to sightsee in Kobe, there isn’t much advantage to staying around Shin-Kobe. These are not criticisms of the Hotel itself, but they are worth keeping in mind regarding location. With those two points understood, I think the Hotel itself is excellent.

For Father’s Day and my mother’s birthday

I stayed at a Hotel with my parents, who grew up in Kobe, where we could enjoy a great view of Kobe’s night scenery and also use the club lounge, and it became a wonderful memory. The club lounge staff were excellent as well, and my parents were very pleased. Thank you. I would like to stay again.

    Breakfast will make you excited!

Breakfast was excellent! I’ve tried breakfast at many Hotels, and ANA Crowne feels sparkling after the renovation. The tea was Ronnefeldt—amazing! The staff were also friendly and welcoming with great smiles. The freshly made onigiri and the omelet made to order were delicious. They even came to the table to offer smoothies—so good! The Room is compact, but it has a Sony clock radio, which was a nice touch. The hair dryer was good too. The bath towels were large and easy to use, almost like a bathrobe. However, the futon and sheets felt damp, which made me wonder if it was because of the rain. There were plenty of lights in the Room, making it easy to adjust the brightness. I also appreciated the Nescafé coffee machine and complimentary bottled water. I’ll definitely come again!

Perhaps it was just bad luck, but the crowd in the club lounge wasn’t very pleasant.

I happened to get a great deal during a sale, so I stayed on the club floor. It was good value for money, but it was disappointing that some guests using the club lounge had poor manners. This is not the Hotel’s fault.

Conveniently located near the station ◯ Morning ×

Even in heavy rain, it was a huge help that the hotel is directly connected to Shin-Kobe Station via an arcade—just a 1-minute walk, so no umbrella needed. The next morning, when I went to the breakfast buffet at 8:00 AM, there was a wait of more than 15 minutes!? As a business traveler, that’s unacceptable, so unfortunately I gave up.

Enhanced services for a more fulfilling stay

It was my first visit in a while, and with more perks than before, I had a very satisfying stay. I can’t deny that everywhere was crowded, but it was excellent value for money! It was a bit disappointing that there were no EV charging facilities in the parking lot. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance...

    This was my first st...

This was my first stay in about a year and a half. I stayed on the club floor, and there were several changes. I was happy that the fitness bath is now available again. From afternoon tea to cocktail time, there used to be a 30-minute closure (closed at 5:00 and reopened at 5:30), but this time it seemed to stay open continuously. I saw some guests checking in on the sofas in front of the club lounge, but we lined up and checked in at the regular lobby as usual. There was no particular guidance. If seated check-in is available with no waiting, I would have liked to be informed. Is there some difference? It was a Sunday stay, and the club lounge was extremely crowded. At both afternoon tea and cocktail time, it felt like a scramble for food. Even while waiting in line, the person ahead of me took more than eight sandwiches right in front of me, leaving none... The cake area was also completely empty... Items were replenished, but it rarely kept up; it felt like you were lucky if you happened to find what you wanted when you checked from time to time. People would go take a look, see there was nothing, and turn back... This is honestly the first Hotel club lounge where I’ve ever been left standing in line with nothing to take. When the sandwiches ran out right in front of me, I told a staff member and they said they would bring more, so I waited there for a few minutes, but they didn’t arrive quickly so I gave up. The next time I checked, they had just been put out by chance so I could have some—but they disappeared immediately again. I think too few items are being put out for the number of guests. It may be unavoidable due to space constraints, but I hope this can be improved with better planning. The cakes and evening snacks were delicious, which made this even more disappointing. On the positive side, cocktail time was nice because we could enjoy drinks at a relaxed pace. The service itself wasn’t bad; perhaps it’s an operational issue. As for amenities—this may just be part of recent trends—but even so, I feel club floor guests should still have them. Free parking is appreciated. I was looking forward to sea bream chazuke at breakfast but it wasn’t available—disappointing! The strawberry soft-serve ice cream was delicious. I’m satisfied because we got a good deal this time, but at regular rates I probably wouldn’t choose it again. It might be great on days when there are fewer lounge guests though.

Thank you for all your help.

Because the air conditioning is centrally controlled, it got chilly at night. When I contacted the front desk, they quickly brought me a blanket and a fan heater. Thank you very much.

    Club Lounge

We found a great Plan and made a Reservation for a Club Suite. With my grandmother’s birthday coming up, my son was able to take time off work, so three generations stayed together. Afternoon tea in the lounge featured many adorable cakes, and everything was delicious. During cocktail time, several dishes that paired well with the drinks were also served, and they were excellent as well. The staff were courteous, and the lounge was very comfortable. My son, experiencing the club lounge for the first time, was delighted too. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We were sad to hear that the ANA Hotel in Kitashinchi has closed, but from now on we will stay here whenever we visit Kobe.

    Best-value luxury Hotel

We stayed on the Club Floor. I think we were able to stay at a very reasonable price. I was captivated by the breathtaking view of Kobe from the 30th floor. I usually rush out sightseeing, but if you stay at this Hotel, it’s like staying in an observation deck! So we basically spent our time inside the Hotel. It was unbelievably comfortable. Afternoon tea starts at 3:00 p.m. The citrus tart was outstanding—I still can’t forget that crisp texture! At Hotels in Tokyo, afternoon tea is around 6,000 yen anywhere you go. Here, you can eat as much as you like—scones, tarts, cookies, cakes, and more—so I truly recommend it. We also stopped by for cocktail hour; for those who enjoy alcohol, it must be heaven. I just had one drink and called it a day. A blissful time enjoying delicious food with the Kobe cityscape below as dusk fell. We fully experienced how great the Club Floor is. At breakfast, the curry had a nice kick of spice and I went back for seconds. It was a shame that the soft-serve machine was out of order. We liked it so much that it’s worth coming all the way from Tokyo just to stay here. Thank you for your hospitality.

What was meant as a comeback ended up…

It was a club lounge as crowded as a packed festival. Because the service during my previous stay was not good, I stayed again for a “revenge” visit since it was good value for money. I went to the club lounge shortly after it opened (after 3:00 PM), but it was already noisy and full of people. At the reception beforehand, they seemed to confirm other guests by first name (perhaps because they were foreigners), and staff escorted those guests. In my case, it felt like I was simply told to go in on my own, so I wandered around looking for a seat… and somehow managed to secure one. In that un-club-floor-like commotion, the food would run out right when it was my turn every time, so I had no choice but to eat only snacks. Even taking that into account, in the evening I arrived before the 5:30 PM start time, yet there were no seats. I was shown alone to a large table and felt awkward. When going to pick up food and drinks, I bumped into staff who were looking elsewhere; again there were only dry snacks; even when sandwiches finally appeared, other guests took many and they were gone by the time it reached me—this happened repeatedly. Both guests and staff often blocked pathways; refills were slow; there was no attention paid before items ran out. There were coffee cups but no saucers—when I mentioned it, I was told “Please wait,” and after more than five minutes they brought just one saucer that hadn’t even been properly wiped. Is this a family restaurant? It felt nothing like what you’d expect from a club floor. When it’s crowded, instead of placing plates only at one spot near the entrance, you should distribute them across multiple locations and respond more flexibly in other ways as well. Crowds may be unavoidable—but how you handle them pleasantly is part of hotel service. And surely you could have anticipated how busy it would be… I had an unbelievable experience of repeatedly having to stand there waiting for food and drink refills. This stay also failed as a “revenge” visit—I will only stay again when it is very good value. *There was also an issue with my key card not working.* Summary: Some staff members were pleasant, but overall I felt there was a lack of hospitality—just one guest’s opinion.

    Overall, it was comfortable, but…

I have always stayed here comfortably, so this was truly disappointing. Was exterior construction being carried out? I feel the warnings about what could happen were insufficient. We were informed verbally and in writing that it was during the construction period, but in the morning a worker suddenly appeared on our balcony, and my wife was changing and nearly naked, which caused her severe shock. We had assumed we only needed to endure some noise during the construction period. I believe you should have provided specific instructions such as keeping the curtains closed during certain hours. This is extremely important. At checkout (around 11:30 on 4/22), I reported this at the front desk, but I was further surprised that neither the female staff member nor a male staff member who appeared to be her supervisor properly acknowledged how distressing this was for my wife. On the contrary, it gave me the impression that they saw us as troublesome guests. This is my report.

Impressions of Using the Club Floor

The hospitality and service were satisfying, but perhaps because the building is old: - Even when using the shower, some hot water also comes out into the bathtub at the same time. - The hot water temperature is unstable, so you need to be careful. It would also be nice to have a scale. Also, the welcome drink is explained on the information sheet, but it would be helpful to add “in the refrigerator.” Since items in the refrigerator are usually charged, I checked before using it.

The live onigiri breakfast station is amazing.

I stayed again following last month, and made a new discovery: the Hotel is truly close to the Kobe Nunobiki Ropeway. It’s embarrassing that I hadn’t realized it before, but I was surprised at how clean the gondolas are and how impressive the herb garden is. I ended up buying an annual pass on impulse. It feels so close that it’s almost like a Facility attached to the Hotel, so I’m looking forward to enjoying it more in the future. Also, I really like the breakfast buffet—especially the live onigiri station. One thing I noticed on this visit on the club floor: several groups stayed in window-side seats straight through from afternoon time into cocktail time. I assume they were trying to secure seats, but isn’t that against proper etiquette? The issue lies with guests, but would it be possible to strictly require everyone to leave their seats at the end of afternoon time?
