We stayed as a group of three, but the extra bed was too small.

It was disappointing that the indoor pool was unavailable.

We planned a stay focused on the pool, hot baths, and relaxation, so it was very disappointing that one of the indoor pools was unavailable due to plumbing work. We already knew from our previous visit that the outdoor pool water is cold, and with the mostly cloudy weather it felt even colder. The food was delicious at both lunch in the restaurant and dinner at Yurakujyo. The Room felt somewhat dated but acceptable; however, the air conditioning only allowed on/off control, and although I tend to feel hot easily, this time it was cold enough to be uncomfortable. On the first day there was a noisy group of high school students, and on the second day a large group of Chinese guests as well, but overall we were able to relax during our two-night stay.

A Hotel you’ll want to return to again and again

This was my fifth stay. The building feels a bit nostalgic, and that adds to the atmosphere—like a classic Resort Hotel—where you can relax without putting on airs. My summer highlight is the outdoor pool. You can use your own float without any hesitation, so I just drifted under the blue sky. Doing absolutely nothing by the pool is the best. We didn’t dine at the Hotel this time, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to go out for meals. I also appreciate being able to choose based on how I feel each day, even on a Multiple Night Stay. And every time, what stands out is how friendly the staff are. They always greet you with a smile whenever you pass them in the building, which makes for a very pleasant stay. Their warmth—speaking to you naturally rather than formally—is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this Hotel. It’s not like the latest luxury Hotels; it’s a place with a nostalgic charm where you can truly unwind. This trip made for another wonderful summer vacation. I’ll be back again to relax.

It was even better than I expected.

Based on the Reviews, I didn’t go in with high expectations—but it was better than I thought! The Hotel was clean and impressive, and the garden was well maintained. Most of the staff were foreign, so there were a few things that felt a bit hard to ask, but overall it wasn’t an issue. The Room’s sink area and Facility were about what I expected. I also expected that Yurakujyo would be far away and a bit inconvenient. Yurakujyo itself was wonderful, and it wasn’t crowded, which was great. The women’s ganbanyoku (hot stone sauna) area was empty, so I could use it in peace. In the open-air bath, I could hear evening cicadas—it was very relaxing. It might be even better with reclining chairs or a hot-water spot where you can lie down. The shampoo and other amenities were high quality as well. The hair-dryer booth area is spacious, but there was a lot of hair on the floor, which was disappointing. I’d like to see more frequent cleaning. I (and other Japanese guests) picked it up with tissues and threw it away. Ordering at Yurakujyo’s dining area via touch panel is difficult. Sometimes you can’t go back to the previous screen, and it caused long lines. With only one station, it may not be enough. There were also food spills on the floor, and walking barefoot felt unpleasant. For table tennis too, having to go back to the front desk for Reservation is inconvenient. I wish this had been explained at the start. The food was delicious—especially the steak; I really enjoyed it. The air conditioner was so cold that turning it off felt just right . My son kept saying until the end that he wanted to take a morning bath. Next time we’d like to enjoy the outdoor pool as well! If we can use them, we’d like to use the tennis courts too! Thank you very much.

Ideal for an overnight stay before departure.

I stayed here the night before my trip. Since it was my first time with No Meals Included, I stayed in the annex. The staff were friendly, and the airport shuttle driver was also kind, so I had a very comfortable stay. This time I didn’t have time to use the pool, but please note that they pump up groundwater here, so it’s extremely cold (lol). The breakfast when I stayed previously was quite good. The only inconvenience at Yurakujyo’s baths is that there is no makeup remover in the bathing area. I always forget to bring mine in and end up scrambling. By chance, there was a flamenco show in the plaza this time—the students were delightful to watch, and as expected the instructor was excellent, so it was more enjoyable than I anticipated. The fountain show is also very impressive every time; I almost find myself trying to dodge the water. I’m traveling again in autumn and would like to stay here then as well.

    Suitable for two families.

We stayed with two families with children. This was about our fifth visit; we like that it’s reasonably priced and offers all-you-can-eat crab, so we invited another family to join us. We chose summer because the outdoor pool is open for a limited time during the season. With fewer Chinese tourists than before, our stay was far more comfortable. The outdoor pool area was especially pleasant this time, as the poolside had been well cleaned of fallen leaves compared to our previous visit. The attached Yurakujō facility was also calmer and more comfortable for the same reason.

    We had a great time.

Our whole family, including our third-grade child, had a great time. Yurakujo was especially wonderful. The access is a bit inconvenient, but everything else was enjoyable, so we would love to stay again!

I stayed here while visiting my hometown.

I stayed again while visiting my hometown. My children have become quite familiar with this Hotel, and they seemed to really enjoy the hot baths at the attached Facility, Yurakujyo. As for the meals (breakfast only), the carrot smoothie was very delicious. I would like to stay here again.

This is a Hotel where you can enjoy a relaxing stay.

Perhaps because of the current inbound travel boom, the “International” branding, or simply because it’s Narita, there were many guests from different countries. My child was impressed by how fluent the Hotel staff were in English. The convenience store inside the Hotel, the lighting at Yurakujyo, and the spacious grounds were all great. The Hotel offers excellent value for money, and having bathing facilities on site felt like a huge plus. However, after recently experiencing a highly entertainment-focused Onsen facility elsewhere, my family’s rating of the baths here was just so-so. It may have been because we visited on a non-event day and quite late, with many facilities about to close, but they also said that since it promotes itself as “Showa-era baths,” it reminded them of a certain anime. The building may feel a bit dated as well. Next time, I’d like to visit on an event day and take my time soaking in the baths, and also use Facilities such as the pool and gym. The direct bus from Tokyo Station is also very convenient—more services to destinations other than the airport would be appreciated. Overall, it’s great value for money.

    An Affordable Hotel to Enjoy

Just over an hour’s drive from home, I stayed after working from home on Friday and taking the afternoon off. After checkout I realized I had left something behind, and when I called, you handled it immediately. I truly appreciate it—thank you. Below are the disappointing points. This time coincided with a 200-person training event for Atomy Japan, and the dinner restaurant was very crowded, which was unfortunate. I have stayed several times before, but both the first and second parking lots were completely full. When I asked at check-in whether something was going on that day, I was told there was a group staying. Since I had booked a Plan with two meals included, I asked what time would be best to avoid for dinner, but was told it would not be an issue because they would be in a separate venue. However, when I actually went to the restaurant, we ended up overlapping. I would like you to provide guidance in advance on times that are better to avoid. Also, there were several older women who poured green smoothies and drinks from the drink bar into plastic bottles to take away, which really spoiled the atmosphere. Wouldn’t it be better to post a sign asking guests not to do this? This is not necessarily an issue caused by the Hotel but by other guests: when using the indoor pool area, there was a group of four men (Japanese) with very poor manners that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. They entered the pool area in everyday clothes and outdoor shoes; used the sauna in their underwear; changed clothes naked on top of reclining chairs; entered without wearing caps; and after using the sauna they did not shower and got into the pool as if it were a cold bath—completely unacceptable behavior. There are no staff stationed inside the pool area, but I believe measures are necessary such as regular patrols; not allowing entry without swimwear or without caps; and warning anyone who enters wearing outdoor shoes and having them leave if needed. It also seemed like a hygiene concern.

    The Room was nice, but!

Both the double and king double Rooms were nice. We were satisfied. We made a Reservation for two Rooms online. Because of that, we didn’t receive any reply to our request for adjacent Rooms, so we called to confirm and were stunned to be told the two Rooms prepared would take about a 2-minute walk between them. How far apart are they? In the end, after a long back-and-forth on the phone, they changed it to neighboring Rooms, but the phone representative seemed unreliable and we felt uneasy until the day of our stay. Calling to confirm is essential here. The baths at Yurakujo were satisfying and felt great. However, I can’t recommend the food at the shops there. The fried rice was more like seasoned mixed rice, and the crispy noodles were just salty and not really Chinese cuisine. When I bought a chocolate ice cream from a vending machine, it seemed like it had melted once and refrozen with the cream as-is. A game machine took our money but wouldn’t start. With so many international guests, this really lowers Japan’s quality. I understand maintaining a Facility is difficult, but since Yurakujo’s baths are good, it’s disappointing overall.

    We had a relaxing stay.

My spouse and I stayed at this Hotel for the first time. Yurakujyo was relaxing and very enjoyable. At the Hotel dinner, there was a big pile of crab—my wife’s favorite—so she had three plates. Next time, we’d like to bring our daughter and grandchild as well. Yurakujyo is great, but I’m a little concerned that there weren’t many guests.

    Comfortable stay at Yutaki Castle

The journey from the Hotel to Yuroku Castle involves crossing the garden and a road, which can be challenging on rainy days. The Room facilities show signs of aging, but considering the price, it's hard to complain. It's unfortunate that the welcome drink service has been discontinued. There aren't many restaurants nearby, but with a Seven-Eleven inside the Hotel, food and drinks are not an issue. Some Rooms on higher floors offer views of planes taking off and landing in the distance. Overall, it is a good Hotel.

It was a good Hotel, but...

Upon arriving at the Hotel, I was put off by a large group speaking loudly in Chinese in the lobby. I had already been tired of loud Chinese conversations both in Hotel lobbies and on trains, and it was the same at this Hotel. Can’t the front desk staff ask them to keep it down? That said, the Hotel staff were very polite and kind, which I appreciated. The Room was clean and I was satisfied. The housekeeping staff were also considerate, which was great. Aside from the loud Chinese voices, I was very satisfied overall. As for the bath facility Yurakujō, it had luxurious decorations, but there was no Onsen—just an ordinary public bath. Most of the space is for drinking and dining, so I recommend not expecting much from the baths. The changing room and bathing area are far apart, and you have to pass through the dining area to reach the bath entrance. Several times I had to stop people who mistakenly thought they could go straight from the changing room to the baths and were about to walk into the dining area naked. Since anyone could make this mistake, I think Yurakujō staff should put up large signs in prominent places or provide clearer instructions.

Although it is a little far from the airport, this Hotel offers spacious Rooms and great views, making it a relaxing place to unwind. It was disappointing that Yurakujyo, which was probably expected to be a highlight at the time, felt like more of an extra Facility, but it would be interesting if it became popular enough to attract more visitors even from outside the Hotel. The Japanese spoken by the international staff actually had a strong impact, and that left the biggest impression on me.

This is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

We stayed in a Business Class King Room this time, and the bed was very comfortable, so we slept well. We were also happy to have a Nespresso machine. The desk was great for my son to study at. Although we couldn’t make a Reservation for the same Room for both nights, you arranged it so we could stay in the same Room, which was a big help. The New Year’s buffet dinner—especially the crab and steak—was more delicious than last time. We were also glad there were macarons and canelés. In the morning, there were osechi dishes, ozoni soup, and complimentary sake, which made it feel like a true New Year’s celebration. We also appreciated the lunch smoothies and fruit-infused water dispenser. In particular, even my son and husband—who don’t usually drink soy milk banana smoothies—said it was delicious and went back for seconds. Being able to enjoy Yunochi Castle and the pool is a great perk. It was disappointing that the billiards table is gone, but we enjoyed playing table tennis. We would be even happier if there were more manga available.

    New Year’s Eve

This was our fourth stay. We booked at the last minute over the New Year holidays and stayed for two nights from the 30th. The countdown, sacred sake, and mochi-pounding events were full of New Year’s spirit and a lot of fun. Next time, we’ll be back to enjoy the summer pool.

    Wonder Boy

    It was an ordinary Hotel.

The reviews were quite critical, but it was an average hotel. The room was spacious, but the facility was outdated. The much-praised large public bath was also average. It is designed to appeal to foreign guests, and indeed, there were many international visitors. Many of the staff were from overseas, but they were kind and helpful. Considering the price, it is satisfactory.

    First-time user.

The Onsen facility's usage time ended at 9 PM, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. Next time, I'll visit earlier. Also, perhaps due to the age of the facility, the air conditioning didn't work well, and it was cold at night, so I borrowed a heater. I wonder if this depends on the room? However, considering the excellent cost performance, I will definitely use it again.

    Hidden Gem Accommodation

It was an unexpected hidden gem. With access to the Hotel gym and pool, plus admission tickets to the nearby amusement castle, it’s quite a great deal. If only the Room had been a bit warmer, it would have been perfect. Still, it was a great place, and I’d love to stay again when the timing is right.

    Entertainment Hotel

A large entertainment-oriented facility, Yurakujyo, with a public bath is located right next to the Hotel. Compared to other hotels near the airport, it is slightly farther by car (shuttle bus available) and traffic can be heavy. However, the Rooms are spacious and though slightly dated, offer great value for money. The lobby can get crowded at times due to many inbound foreign tourists arriving on large tour buses. Yurakujyo features not only a public bath but also dining areas and rest spaces, making it enjoyable for families with children. The nighttime fountain show was also delightful. However, it takes about 2-3 minutes on foot to reach Yurakujyo, so during cold winters or rainy weather, proper clothing is recommended. The disappointing part was the Hotel's dinner and breakfast buffet. Dinner offers all-you-can-eat crab; however, considering the effort of cracking shells and its quality, few people opted for seconds. Breakfast was also underwhelming given its price point—it's unfortunate if international guests perceive this as the standard of Japanese hotel breakfast buffets.

    Cheap but disappointing

The airport shuttle is significantly delayed. The front desk staff is unfriendly and not up to Hotel standards. When asking the convenience store staff inside the Hotel for directions, I was vaguely told "over there." Upon asking again for clarification, I was given false information and ended up walking around the Hotel unnecessarily, leaving an impression of intentional unkindness. The Room had a bathroom with a strong foul odor, possibly from mold or something fishy-smelling, making it unusable. The bathing Facility requires quite a walk to reach, and without sandals provided, I had to go in my own heels, which was uncomfortable. There were many guests from Asia speaking loudly and causing disturbances that made relaxation impossible. The Facility itself lacked proper amenities and cleanliness; even the dressing tables were left dirty with hair by other guests without being cleaned by staff despite noticing it—very disappointing. Although the price is cheap, I would not stay at this Hotel again.

    Free parking is fantastic!

Free parking and free Shuttle Service were greatly appreciated. However, the Room lacked bedside outlets, had a rather old design, and the bathroom was somewhat uninviting—those who are particular about cleanliness might want to avoid it. Chinese was spoken frequently, making it feel like being abroad with both guests and staff giving off a "Is this China?" vibe. Many staff members did not speak Japanese.

    Stunning view

When I arrived at the hotel, I was worried if this price would really cover a stay for two people, but I decided it would be fine even if it cost double and proceeded to check in. The front desk service was calm and pleasant, making me feel ready to pay double! (Previously, I had mistakenly made a reservation for one person.) However, the price remained as it was. As mentioned in reviews, there was an odor upon entering the room, but the view from our 11th-floor room was spectacular. My child and I spent time gazing at planes taking off and landing as frequently as trains on the Yamanote Line. We also woke up early to enjoy the sunrise. There were many foreign guests which gave an international atmosphere. There’s also a park nearby where you can see planes up close, Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, and an outlet mall just around the corner. Although we often visit Naritasan Temple, this time felt different—thank you for showing us a new side of Narita!

    Repeat stay.

This is my second stay. The rates seem to vary significantly depending on the season, but during the cheaper periods, the facilities and views feel exceptionally good for the price. This time, I decided not to visit Yurakujo as it was very crowded before; experiencing it once seems sufficient. The bathroom in the room was more than satisfactory. If you can adjust your schedule to avoid large group guests, you can enjoy a much more comfortable stay. When schedules overlap with groups, it creates a different atmosphere. Reflecting on my past group travels in Europe, I wonder if locals there felt similarly about us. You can also enjoy activities like swimming, tennis, and golf here. I liked it so much that I made a reservation for two nights at the end of the year. A nearby Thai restaurant was delicious as well. There are limited power outlets in the room; if there's an opportunity for renovation, this would be appreciated! Extension cords are available at reception but need to be picked up rather than delivered to your room.

The condition of the Room has deteriorated.

The price was for a Plan including Yurakujo, so it might be understandable, but the Room felt dusty and had an unpleasant smell. Additionally, the bathroom had issues such as peeling on the sink and stains that couldn't be removed, which made me feel uncomfortable. When I reported this, I was offered a room change; however, the staff's response was poor and left me feeling disappointed. It's unfortunate because Yurakujo itself was great.

    Affordable Resort Experience

Staying at the accommodation allowed access to both indoor and outdoor pools, giving a slight resort-like feel. While there were no issues on the hotel's part, there were some concerns such as parents and children diving into the pool, couples eating instant noodles nearby, and mothers sitting by the indoor pool drinking beer and eating snacks (which might raise hygiene concerns indoors). Additionally, a group of tourists, seemingly from China, placed numerous suitcases in front of the breakfast venue entrance, making it inconvenient to enter. It might be better to prepare a designated luggage area near the entrance for such cases. During this stay, I had breakfast, lunch (buffet), and dinner (BBQ). Although there was an issue with slow food replenishment during meals, lunch was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast lacked variety and quantity while being crowded; I might consider skipping it next time.
