    I stay one night eve...

    I stay one night every year at the end of January with a meal-included Plan. This year, perhaps due to the so-called Takaichi remarks, there were no overseas travelers, so it was very quiet and relaxing, but it was disappointing that the Japanese restaurant was not open.

    It was great the last time I stayed here.

    This time, I was not very satisfied. The explanation upon arrival was too brief. The Room was very nice, but there was no brush in the bathroom. If it is not provided, you should inform guests to bring one from the Room. The Facility is old, but it felt clean and that was good. However, the bed is a bit too high, and I did not like the short pants and three-quarter-sleeve loungewear. The meal explanations were polite and left a good impression, but in a place like Inatori, alcoholic drinks are far too expensive!! Also, I found the attitude of the woman at the souvenir corner disappointing; she did not seem apologetic at all.

    Point Usage

    When I went to the shop to use points with my Tokyu card, I was told that points could not be used there at all. It was only during checkout that I learned it would have been possible if combined with the final payment, but by then, I had already missed the shuttle service. Please ensure consistent communication regarding point payment policies across all areas. The internet connection in the lobby was weak, which was very inconvenient.

    More Hawaiian than Hawaii

    Stayed for 2 nights at the end of September for a late summer vacation. The Hotel staff, who were relatively older, were all very pleasant and friendly. Their proactive engagement with various guests was also appreciated. The breakfast buffet was excellent. It was truly delightful to enjoy a leisurely meal while gazing at the ocean from the outdoor seating area. Although I stayed for 2 nights and hoped the menu might change, it remained the same—but I was still completely satisfied. The view from the balcony was stunning, and with its spaciousness, I felt like I could spend all my time there. Being right in front of the ocean allowed me to relax fully—it truly felt more like Hawaii than Hawaii itself!

    Aging

    I have been a long-time member of the Tokyu Comfort Members program, but due to the COVID-19 period and not visiting for a while, my membership rank reverted to the initial level, which was disappointing. Additionally, signs of aging are noticeable throughout the accommodation, making it unfit for being called a "resort." (Especially the dirty carpets in the corridors leading to the bath and pool were unpleasant and made it difficult to enjoy bathing.) The meals, particularly Japanese cuisine, used to be excellent and one of the highlights of my stay. However, they now lack creativity and enjoyment. Placing wedding dresses in the lobby seems overly focused on commercial priorities! An exhibition of elementary school drawings? (Perhaps aimed at summer vacation?) Charging for coffee in the lobby is quite surprising as most accommodations offer free unlimited coffee. The lemon water lacked flavor and left no impression at all. The previous night I stayed at "Imaiso," which scored 95 points except for its view from the bath. In comparison, Tokyu Resort scores only 20 points! It seems necessary to study competitors in this industry; otherwise, you risk losing more customers by remaining narrow-minded... Overall sense is lacking. With rising costs and other challenges piling up these days, people escape cities seeking relaxation by visiting places like Izu with ocean views. Without consideration or care for guests' experiences, running an accommodation business becomes impossible! While renovations may be planned in future efforts should aim towards creating an exceptional resort worthy of being called a remarkable "Tokyu Resort."

    Be soothed anytime by the best views, Onsen, and staff.

    This is one of my favorite Hotels, which I visit 2-3 times a year. I visited at the end of September, expecting a quiet autumn atmosphere as it had cooled down. However, perhaps due to the lingering summer heat this year, the pool was still open, and the cheerful voices of children combined with the ocean view made it feel like an extended summer vacation. One of its charms is the Onsen that you wouldn't expect from its exterior. Though small, the outdoor bath is absolutely fantastic. The staff are always friendly and provide precise answers with a smile. Even in the busy breakfast buffet area in the morning, they replenish food and clear tables without disrupting guests' movements—completely different from some high-end Tokyo hotels where summer restaurant scenes can feel chaotic. One highlight for me here is making my own wasabi rice bowl during breakfast. This time there was also grated yam available, allowing for more variations like adding whitebait + grated yam + bonito flakes + seaweed + wasabi—it was perfect! I hope they continue offering grated yam in future visits. As I hear they will be closed until mid-December, I'm already looking forward to visiting again next year!

    Extremely Comfortable

    Dinner was French cuisine, and everything was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the venison—it was outstanding. The wine pairing was reasonably priced and complemented the dishes perfectly. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options to choose from, leaving me very satisfied. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. The Onsen had an open-air bath with the soothing sound of waves and a perfect temperature. The indoor bath was also at an ideal temperature—not too hot. Both the sauna and cold bath were excellent as well. I would love to visit again!

    Repeat done!

    It was truly a dream-like and wonderful stay. The location is perfect, with a stunning view of the blue ocean and pool right in front of you. Wake up to the sound of waves and sea breeze in the morning, spend your day leisurely moving between the pool and ocean, enjoy watching the sunset, and end your evening with fireworks on the beach. The staff were kind and attentive, leaving a lasting impression with their thoughtful service. With clean Rooms, breathtaking views full of openness, and a serene atmosphere, it felt like escaping to a resort far from everyday life. Location, comfort, service—everything was 100 out of 100 points for an unforgettable stay.

    We stayed at this Ho...

    We stayed at this Hotel for the first time, looking for a place where children could enjoy both the sea and the pool, and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you very much. The atmosphere was like that of a Hawaiian Hotel, and everything, including the Room and Facility, was clean and very comfortable. The pool and book café space were perfect for relaxing. The balloon art and coasters at night were also enjoyable with our child. However, the only disappointment was the dining experience. It was unfortunate that guests having course meals and those having buffets were seated in the same area. We wanted to dine quietly, so if separate rooms are not possible, it would have been better to at least divide seating with partitions or similar measures. Because it felt noisy and unsettled, we couldn't fully enjoy our meal as much as we hoped to. Additionally, regarding children's menus, smaller portions would be fine if they featured more local ingredients—it would be greatly appreciated!

    A Wonderful Journey

    The Room was lovely. The meal was a French course, featuring wonderful dishes crafted with care by the chef. Stylish and fresh seafood and mountain delicacies were served magically, leaving us deeply impressed. The bath was also excellent, and although we have used it several times before, we will definitely return again. Thank you to all the staff!

    It was wonderful to enjoy both the pool and the beach. I visited with my 2-year-old and 3-year-old grandchildren, and they loved the kids' room. I’m planning to visit again next year.

    We stayed here for a family trip.

    We stayed here for our family summer vacation. Thank you very much. We used one Room on the ocean side and one on the mountain side, and both Rooms were clean and comfortable. The ocean view from the balcony was truly relaxing. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The rice coming out of a machine was quite impressive, and it was fluffy and tasty when served—having delicious rice really makes a difference! We visited the private beach multiple times and enjoyed the serene beauty of the sea at our own pace. The water was clear, and we could even see fish swimming around. Inside the facility, there were sofas in places like the book café or other key spots, providing relaxing spaces outside of our Room as well, which we appreciated. Although we stayed for just one night this time, we plan to stay longer next time to fully enjoy everything this place has to offer. Looking forward to visiting again!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    The overall atmosphere of the Hotel is, of course, wonderful, but the best part is definitely the easy access to the beach. We fully enjoyed both the pool and the beach. The meals were also delicious. The buffet featured menus using local fish and ingredients, as well as meat dishes and desserts—everything was absolutely tasty. Although we stayed for just one night, it felt as satisfying as if we had stayed for several days. Next time, I would love to stay a bit longer. Thank you very much!

    The maisonette was great!

    As a returning guest, I love the atmosphere, proximity to the sea, and sense of openness. Last time I stayed in a suite, but this time, since it’s midsummer, I chose a maisonette for easy access to the beach and pool. It was convenient to quickly return for forgotten items, the large public bath was nearby, and there was no waiting for elevators—completely stress-free. I would have appreciated bottled water in the room; unfortunately, I couldn’t drink from steel cans due to their metallic taste. The buffet could have had more variety; however, I was satisfied with the lovely ambiance of Melesi and their thoughtful gesture of preparing a special plate for my son with allergies. The dishes were luxurious and impressive! We enjoyed relaxing by the pool during the day and fireworks on the beach at night. With checkout at 12 PM the next day, we had plenty of time for tide-pooling in the morning before heading to Izoo by car. After returning from Izoo, we played in the pool again—it was an unforgettable experience! This photogenic hotel provided endless opportunities for my companions to take pictures around its beautiful premises as well as by the sea and poolside.

    Convenient, but not necessarily comfortable.

    Second time staying here as a solo parent. Pros: - Close to the station! Shuttle service is available, making access convenient. There’s a convenience store and supermarket near the station, so you can shop while waiting for the bus. - There’s a pool, it’s close to the beach, there’s a kids' room, and even craft activities—lots of fun options! - You can use the pool and large bath both before check-in and after check-out, allowing plenty of time to enjoy. - The ocean-view room comes with a balcony. After putting the kids to bed, you can relax on the balcony with a beer while enjoying the night sea and sky. Cons: - The facility overall feels old. Peeling wallpaper and wrinkled curtains give off an aged vibe. - The unit bath is narrow, which might be inconvenient for elderly guests. - The buffet venue is small; while there are many local dishes offered, there weren’t any standout items like abalone or crab during my stay (this could have been specific to that day). - As a solo parent traveling with children, I often needed flexibility in dinner times or other arrangements but found it difficult to get support on-site. Staff seemed more focused on following manuals than providing personalized hospitality. Overall impression: It was easy but not particularly comfortable. Outside of summer pool season, I probably wouldn’t consider staying here again.

    We visited from Yoko...

    We visited from Yokohama as a family of four. Although it was a bit far, the resort-like atmosphere of the Hotel, ocean-view rooms, direct access to the sea and pool, and overall environment were fantastic. The staff were kind, and the meals were well-prepared—especially the fish, which was delicious. It became our best summer vacation! The outdoor Onsen felt a bit small due to its popularity and crowding, but overall we were very satisfied. We’d love to visit again!

    Summer Travel

    It was my first time staying at this accommodation, but everything was clean and the staff were very polite. The hotel has a pool, and being located right in front of a beach makes it a rare and special place. The beach was so quiet that it felt like a private beach, as if only hotel guests were there. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, providing a calm atmosphere, and the dishes were carefully prepared, stylish, and delicious. I’ve become a fan of Tokyu Hotel. I definitely want to stay at this hotel again!

    The location is convenient.

    The location is not bad. It has an Okinawan-Hawaiian vibe, making you feel like you're not in Izu. The Facility is a bit old, especially the bath, which felt outdated. Honestly, the price is too high. It doesn't match the value, so I wouldn't choose to stay again. Dinner was good. Compared to nearby Ryokans, it feels overpriced and somewhat underwhelming in quality.

    Enjoy the Ocean

    The beachfront location was fantastic. From the Hotel entrance to the lobby and the café on the first floor, we could fully enjoy a resort atmosphere. Being a large Hotel, it was understandable, but it was unfortunate that the bath was often crowded. Considering the size of the Hotel, I think we could have enjoyed it even more if the pool were slightly larger.

    It was a good Hotel.

    The oceanfront rooms and balconies were very pleasant, especially with the great weather, offering a fantastic location that almost felt like Okinawa with the changing colors of the sea. The open-air bath where you can hear the sound of waves was also delightful, and I enjoyed it three times during my stay. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to extend the pool hours from 9 AM to 5 PM instead of 10 AM to 4 PM, as it feels rushed given the check-in time at 3 PM and check-out time at 11 AM. Overall, it was an excellent Hotel.

    The tranquility and the staff are excellent.

    I love this Hotel and visited several times last year, but this year my first visit was in June. The staff's friendly and attentive hospitality is always exceptional. For dinner, I opted for demi portions, and while the abalone was delicious as expected, I particularly enjoyed the beautifully shaped small rice hidden among the vegetables accompanying the meat dish. Hawaiian music plays at a moderate volume in the hallways, but inside the room, it’s very quiet—listening to the sound of waves while relaxing is pure bliss. I heard that renovations will begin mid-October and the Hotel will temporarily close; I’ll make sure to visit again before then. Thank you very much!

    It is a good Hotel.

    I revisited to relax by the poolside or in the room, enjoying the view of the sea before the season and listening to the sound of waves. Both indoors and outdoors are well-maintained and kept clean. I always have dinner at Melesy, and this time it was delicious as well. If I may suggest, serving hot dishes while they are still hot would make it even better. Since it's a good Onsen, I think it would be better if the composition chart of the Onsen in the large public bath is placed in a more visible location. The hospitality of the staff remains consistently excellent. Some operations have been changed, but I did not feel any inconvenience. I understand there might be challenges, but I hope this quality will be maintained. This is a hotel I would like to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    This was my first time staying here. The view from the 8th-floor Room and the garden were absolutely wonderful. Both the French dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious. I can see why there are so many repeat guests. We would love to visit again as well. However, one inconvenience was that taxis at Kawazu Station do not operate after 5 PM. Additionally, it seems there are no elevators or escalators at Imaihama Station, which may not be suitable for seniors. This was the only disappointing aspect of our stay.

    I had a very pleasant stay. It's a wonderful Hotel that never gets boring no matter how many times I stay. The croissants and Matsumae rice bowl at breakfast were delicious.

    We had a relaxing time as a family.

    Thank you for your hospitality. The location was wonderful, and I was able to relax while listening to the sound of the waves! A small note, but it was a bit disappointing that the flowers on the tables at the French restaurant were artificial and that the music didn't quite match the atmosphere. The food is very delicious, so it would be great if there were a more pleasant dining ambiance. Overall, it's a very good Hotel, and I would love to stay again. Thank you!

    Perfect for solo travelers!

    I have stayed here dozens of times during my solo trips, and it is my favorite Hotel. The staff's hospitality and the meals are excellent, and the Onsen and Room are clean. If you feel like reading, you can enjoy books in the library, or relax while listening to the sound of waves. Highly recommended for those trying a solo trip for the first time! Definitely a Hotel worth staying at least once.

    I loved this wonderful Hotel!

    I had been curious about this accommodation for a while and stayed here for the first time. I read reviews saying it feels like Hawaii or Okinawa, and since my spouse and I love both, it met our expectations perfectly! The shuttle service from the nearest station was convenient without needing a reservation. The onsen included an open-air bath, sauna, and jacuzzi, allowing us to fully refresh both body and mind. Above all, the view from our room was absolutely stunning. Both the French dinner and breakfast were delicious, leaving us completely satisfied. The staff were all cheerful and very friendly, which added to the experience. We are so glad to have found such a wonderful hotel. We'll definitely come back!

    The French dinner was exquisite.

    It's not often that I get to enjoy a full-course French meal in my daily life, but it was absolutely delicious. The Onsen large public bath was spacious and relaxing, and the view was outstanding. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance to visit Kawazu next time.

    The Room and the view are excellent.

    We stayed as a family of four. We chose this room because it was a maisonette type with two bedrooms, which was great. You can directly access the pool and beach, so we went to the beach at sunrise. The weather was perfect, and we were able to see a stunning sunrise. Breakfast was the only meal included, but the buffet was delicious and very filling in the morning. Although the Kawazu cherry blossoms bloomed later than usual this year and we were a week early to see them in full bloom, iZOO (an interactive zoo) near the hotel had nearly full blooms, which we enjoyed. This is definitely a hotel we'd love to stay at again!

    The atmosphere of the Hotel is Hawaiian.

    We visited again for the Kawazu cherry blossoms, which were in full bloom. Thank you for providing shuttle service to the night illumination. The meals felt slightly reduced, and we recommend adding some dishes as there was no soup either. The explanation of "shared amenities" in the 1F large public bath mentioned items, but there were no hairbrushes or combs—other guests also brought their own. However, the ocean view from the room while listening to the sound of waves was wonderful. We will visit again.
