    It’s been a while since my last stay.

    It was disappointing that the beach location had changed since last time and felt farther away. I’m not sure whether it was due to the typhoon or changes to the shoreline, but there were waves. When I stayed here before, it was nice because there were no waves, so that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the Facility is well equipped, the food is delicious, and there’s a great selection of souvenirs and beach items. The outdoor live performance on the night of the 13th was also very good.

    Love, Miyakojima.

    This was our stay following our New Year visit. We have stayed several times and already knew how wonderful Tokyu is, but this was our first time visiting in summer. The view of Maehama Beach from the Room is outstanding—No. 1 on Miyakojima. Since discovering Miyakojima two and a half years ago, this was our 14th trip. It is without a doubt No. 1. The facilities are clean and full of history, yet it never feels like an old building—everything felt very satisfying and well maintained. The BBQ while looking out at the sea was amazing. For breakfast, the freshly cooked rice from the traditional Japanese pot and all the side dishes were extremely satisfying. It felt like it gets even more delicious every time we visit. All the staff were very pleasant, and my daughter and grandchildren—visiting Miyakojima for the first time—said they want to come back to Tokyu Resort Miyakojima again. Looks like next summer is decided as well. It rained over New Year’s so the year-end live show was canceled, but this time we were able to watch the Eisa performances on the courtyard stage for two days, which felt like an unexpected gift and made us very happy. We will be staying again next February, so we look forward to seeing you then.

    Family Trip

    I think it was a very good Hotel. From start to finish, there was nothing to fault in the service. I felt that wonderful hospitality is deeply rooted throughout the entire Hotel. To the guide who led us on the sea turtle tour: your warm, heartfelt guidance meant so much. More than simply getting to see sea turtles, your personality and dedication as a guide made me feel truly refreshed from everyday fatigue. Thank you very much. Some Reviews mention that it feels a bit old, but I didn’t find it bothersome at all. The view from the restaurant was also outstanding.

    Wonderful Yonaha Maehama Beach

    First, the disappointing points: I found three hairs in the Room bathtub. One would be understandable, but three? And for a Tokyu Hotel in Miyakojima—known as a fairly high-end Hotel—that was surprising. The Room floor also felt gritty, as if some sand had been left behind. Right after entering the Room, I got excited by the view, but that feeling quickly dropped. It was also a bit disappointing that quite a few staff members did not greet us even when we passed them. The good points: We used both Yaebishi and the buffet for breakfast. Everything tasted great and we enjoyed it. Having sparkling wine available in the morning also feels very resort-like and is a nice touch—though I didn’t have any myself. Above all, this Hotel’s greatest feature is the beauty of Yonaha Maehama Beach right in front of it. The color of the sea was breathtaking, and the sunset was beautiful. Lately I’ve often stayed at Hotels with outstanding hospitality, so please excuse my slightly critical comments.

    A Room with a strong machine oil smell

    I stayed for two nights in June, and the Room I was given at check-in smelled strongly of machine oil. At first I tried to put up with it, but it made me feel sick, so I asked the front desk to deodorize it. It seems there was a lingering odor because some equipment had been repaired. They changed my Room, but I was surprised they let guests in without checking properly first. This Hotel is popular on Miyakojima and felt like they were operating with an arrogant “take-it-or-leave-it” attitude. We had both breakfast and dinner at this Hotel, but overall the food wasn’t good and the value for money was very poor. I don’t think I would stay again next time.

    We had a pleasant stay.

    This was my nth stay. I stayed for three nights, but unfortunately it rained the whole time. Even so, the sea was beautiful, and everyone at the Hotel greeted me cheerfully and treated me kindly, so I had a very pleasant stay. I was also happy that you noticed at check-in that I was a returning guest. There is just one thing: I saw a guest (it seemed to be the same person) coming to the restaurant in nightwear and wandering around the lobby, and I wondered why staff did not say anything. I believe atmosphere is part of what makes travel special, so it would be nice if we could all help create a wonderful space together. In any case, I would like to visit again next year. Thank you very much.

    After all, this is the place.

    This was my second trip to Miyakojima. I stayed at Tokyu Hotel & Resorts last time as well. I considered trying a different Hotel this time, but my previous stay left such a great impression that I chose to return. It’s only about a 15–20 minute drive from the airport and downtown, so the location is excellent. Yonaha Maehama Beach, which stretches out right in front of the Hotel, is incredibly beautiful, and the view from the Room is exceptional—Miyako Blue fills your entire field of vision. Best of all, it’s directly connected to the beach. As an aside, planes landing at Miyako Airport fly over this Hotel from the ocean side. At night there is also a “Stardust Balcony,” where we could see the stars amazingly well. Although the building itself feels a bit old, the Rooms have been renovated and are comfortable. The on-site Facility options are convenient too—not only restaurants and souvenir shops, but also a small convenience store and coin laundry. This time we only used breakfast dining options: there was a Japanese set meal with a mini buffet, as well as a Japanese-Western buffet with delicious omelets and local ingredients. We enjoyed both. The wind was slightly strong, but since it was during a break in the rainy season, temperatures were around 26–27°C and the weather was nice overall—making for a very comfortable stay.

    We were able to see the Southern Cross.

    The view from the Room is stunning and truly feels like Miyakojima. I was moved to see the Southern Cross from the Hotel’s rooftop “Stardust Balcony.”

    May Holiday Week

    We were worried about the weather because the rainy season started early, but it turned out sunny and we had a wonderful time. The beach was beautiful, the breeze felt great, and the temperature was just right—we almost lost track of time. We chose the BBQ for dinner and enjoyed ourselves while watching the sunset and the ocean. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

    This stay was extremely satisfying, and it was a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again. While the building itself shows its age in some areas, the Rooms and facilities were thoroughly cleaned and felt very fresh. The garden plants were also carefully maintained, beautifully kept, and left a strong impression. With its on-the-beach location, being able to hear the sound of the waves from my Room and spend time gazing at the Miyako Blue sea was truly luxurious and wonderful. As for dining, thanks to enjoying island vegetables proactively at every restaurant, I felt comfortable throughout my entire stay. The air conditioning at the Japanese-style dining “Yaebishi” was just right, allowing me to relax and enjoy conversation while dining. The staff’s warm hospitality also made me very happy. On the other hand, “Moonshell” and “Niraikanai” had air conditioning that felt too strong even on days when it wasn’t particularly hot outside, and it felt quite cold. It was memorable that other guests also said “It’s cold” when they entered. Even so, overall I was very satisfied—this is a wonderful Hotel where I would not hesitate to stay again next time.

    The staff are exceptionally professional.

    We stayed as a family, including preschool-aged children. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the drop-off area were very welcoming, and our kids were happy. The person who guided us to our Room was also courteous and attentive. More than just polite service, their warm hospitality truly left a lasting impression. We used the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, and the staff were pleasant there as well, with careful explanations regarding allergy accommodations. It also made us happy that they remembered us the next day. The dinner buffet wasn’t about flashy luxury ingredients; instead, there were many thoughtfully prepared dishes that we really enjoyed. Each item—appetizers, hot dishes, and more—tasted great, and our kids ate a lot too. Maybe it was just that there was no time limit that day, but we weren’t rushed and could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Breakfast was delicious as well. We had a great time even in a season when you can’t swim—taking walks around the grounds to see the illuminations and stargazing from the rooftop terrace. It’s a Hotel we liked so much that we definitely want to stay here again next time.

    Family Staycation

    A beautiful beach stretched out right in front of us, and the view from the Room was amazing. The Facility itself felt a bit old, but it was well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. This may come down to personal preference, but we noticed the bed was quite firm and the shower water pressure was weak. We ate at the Hotel restaurant throughout our stay; it was reasonably priced and offered plenty of Okinawan-style dishes and local specialties, which we enjoyed. It’s a Hotel we would like to visit again.

    I was able to relax.

    The Room was spotless and very comfortable. The amenities were more than sufficient, and I was able to relax and enjoy my time in the Room. Needless to say, the view is outstanding—beyond exceptional. 　Everyone on the Hotel staff, from the front desk to the restaurant team and housekeeping, was kind and helpful. They gave a genuinely warm impression. Their language was gentle, and it was clear they truly value their guests. At breakfast, the person seated next to me kept coughing repeatedly, so I asked if another table might be available; I still remember how they smiled and said, “We will prepare one right away.” 　Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and although it was the off-season, the other guests were calm and it never felt noisy. 　This is a resort I truly want to visit again without fail. Thank you very much.

    The best beach right in front of you.

    It wasn’t the season for swimming in the sea, but the beach right in front of us was amazing, and the Miyako-blue ocean view from our Room was truly soothing. The Hotel staff were also very courteous—just as expected. The spa treatment itself was great, but it was disappointing that it was noisy around us during the session. The buffet food felt just okay, so next time I’d like to try the teppanyaki restaurant.

    Your satisfaction may vary depending on the weather.

    Since January has a low chance of clear weather, I was worried about whether we could see the Miyako Blue sea from the Room. On the day we arrived it was cloudy, so the color of the sea wasn’t very impressive, but when the sun came out the next day, a truly beautiful ocean appeared right below us. If it had stayed overcast, I don’t think I would have been this satisfied—so it really depends on the weather. The property is older, but the Room has been renovated and is clean. However, there was a slight aged smell that bothered me. My husband didn’t seem to notice it, so I think it depends on the person. Even though it was the off-season, I was moved by how beautiful the illuminated banyan tree was. In the morning we took a walk along Yonaha Maehama while watching sunrise, and it felt wonderful.

    First Time in Miyako Island

    I had no unpleasant experiences. From the reception to passing staff in the hallway and the cleanliness of the Room, the Hotel staff's hospitality made my first stay in Miyako Island very comfortable. It is a great Hotel. Thank you very much.

    Great location, but the Facility is outdated.

    I stayed during the year-end holidays. The location was excellent, the Room was convenient, and the restaurants and shops within the Hotel were well-equipped, making me want to visit again. However, I would like to request one improvement. The laundry area and its surroundings were dark and outdated, which made it feel unsafe to approach. Additionally, the washing machines were much older compared to other Hotels, raising concerns about hygiene. Since doing laundry is essential at a resort Hotel, I hope not only the Rooms and restaurants but also these facilities can be renovated. Perhaps reconsidering the entire basement floor might be a good idea.

    I Love Miyako Island

    This was my second stay at Tokyu Resort this year. Once again, I was very satisfied with the hospitality of the staff. The food was even more delicious this time. I purchased an original bag from the shop as it was very nice. The selection of goods for infants and children is excellent, and I have already made a reservation in August to visit with my daughter, her husband, and my grandchild. The beauty of Yonaha Maehama Beach from the 6th floor remains unmatched; even in bad weather, Miyakojima Blue is truly No.1. Looking forward to staying again!

    Having previously stayed in the Ocean Wing, this time I chose the Coral Wing. Although the weather was cloudy with occasional rain and not perfectly sunny, the sea of Miyako Island, especially Yonaha Maehama Beach, remains stunningly beautiful. As I was traveling alone this time, I appreciated that Yaebishi had shifted from a course menu to an izakaya-style offering smaller portions with more variety. Since I couldn't drive and relied on taxis for transportation, my trip focused on selective sightseeing and relaxing at the Hotel. With a beautiful beach right in front and a well-maintained garden to stroll through, it was an enjoyable experience overall.

    A decline in service...

    I have been using this hotel every year. The location remains excellent, and the facility is well-maintained as always. Amenities were replenished daily, allowing for a comfortable and worry-free multiple night stay. However, I have noticed a decline in service over the past year. Perhaps due to staff shortages or overtourism, the hospitality from staff seems lacking. Front desk and restaurant staff used to be more attentive and kind in the past. Additionally, arranging taxis has become my own responsibility, which caused significant trouble on my departure day. While I understand there may be staffing issues or a shortage of taxis on the island, it feels inappropriate for a luxury hotel not to assist with taxi arrangements. Lastly, it would be helpful if the shuttle service could align with the first flight of the day from the island's airport. I plan to visit again next year and hope for improvements by then.     The hotel offers an excellent experience as a resort, including the view, environment, and meals such as Yaebishi. However, the free Wi-Fi within the hotel was very unstable and frequently disconnected, which was unsatisfactory. If this issue is improved, I would like to stay again (please notify me if resolved).

    Hotel Miyakojima Tokyu is great!

    I have visited Miyako Island several times and usually chose a hotel with a private pool in the room for a quiet stay. However, even though the pools were heated, they were often too cold to use, making me feel like I wasted money. So this time, since it was November, I decided to ignore the pool and made a reservation at Tokyu Hotel, which has been operating on Miyako Island for many years. I stayed in an Ocean Deluxe Twin Room for 3 nights (unfortunately couldn't get a room with a view bath). From the moment I arrived, all the staff greeted me with smiles and provided excellent service—it was truly pleasant (though one of the breakfast chefs seemed slightly intimidating! (laughs)). The room was on the 6th floor with great views and was quiet. Although I had concerns about its size, it turned out to be just right. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. On top of that, being able to stay at this price made it an exceptional experience. Breakfast was delicious as well. However, when I had lunch and dinner once at the hotel restaurant, I felt that due to my age and smaller appetite, it would be nice if there were more à la carte options available in an all-day dining restaurant like a coffee house. That said, I really loved Tokyu Hotel—great value for money! I'd love to stay here again next time. Thank you so much to all the staff!

    I Love Miyako Island!

    This was my 10th visit to Miyako Island, and for the first time, I stayed at your Resort Hotel for three nights. The view of Maehama Beach from the Premium Twin Room was absolutely stunning. The staff's service was excellent, including the foreign staff who were very attentive. The room cleaning was perfect and done beautifully. It would be helpful to have insect repellent in the room as insects tend to get in. The breakfast Japanese set meal and buffet were delicious. The dinner buffet had a wide variety of drinks and dishes, so much so that I ate too much! The morning sanpin tea bread was crispy and tasty as well. If I may suggest one thing, we had the middle-tier BBQ option, but it would be great if the quality of meat could be slightly improved. I have already made a reservation for New Year's and plan to book again for May and August next year. Overall, this is an outstanding Resort Hotel that left me completely satisfied. Looking forward to staying again!

    【About the Hotel】 Located 15 minutes by car from Miyakojima Airport, this is the only hotel with a beachfront on Yonaha Maehama, known as one of the best beaches in Asia. A long-established resort with over 40 years of history. 【Hotel & Rooms】 The hotel has an older design, and even after renovations, its basic layout and style lack a modern resort feel, resembling more of an Onsen town accommodation. The interior doors are heavy, and the bathroom features non-slip floors and bathtubs that give off a nursing facility vibe. While sheets are clean, they appear slightly yellowed from extensive use. Compared to similarly aged hotels like Nikko Alivila or ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort, it falls short in comparison. Rooms on higher floors are recommended for better views of Maehama Beach. The pricing feels slightly high for this level of accommodation. However, the grounds are well-maintained with tropical trees and flowers attracting butterflies and birds. Staff members include locals and international employees who strive to provide good hospitality. 【Wi-Fi】 Extremely slow—practically unusable. 【Restaurant】 The main restaurant "Nirai Kanai" offers more of a resort atmosphere compared to the hotel building itself. You can enjoy views near the beach or pool along with interiors reflecting island vibes. The breakfast and dinner buffets feature simple yet carefully prepared dishes that are both delicious and satisfying. For breakfast options, "Yaebishi" serves Japanese cuisine but "Nirai Kanai" stands out in terms of taste and variety. At "Moon Shell," you can enjoy casual meals like pasta or rice bowls at reasonable prices in a stylish setting. 【Yonaha Maehama Beach!】 Undoubtedly Okinawa's No.1 beach! Fine white sand meets emerald green and cobalt blue waters with breathtaking clarity—it’s truly stunning! Hotel guests have access to chairs on the beach; however, there is no effective jellyfish netting so you may encounter fish as well. If your goal is enjoying Maehama Beach exclusively—this hotel is your best choice! For snorkeling activities though, Shigira Resort might be better suited for you.

    Had a wonderful birthday.

    It was a wonderful hotel that I would love to stay at again. The accommodation was very family-friendly, allowing us to relax with peace of mind. Although it was our first time visiting a remote island and we were worried about what to bring, the on-site shop had almost everything we needed, making it convenient even if we came empty-handed. The restaurant served delicious food, and the atmosphere was enhanced by live Sanshin performances. There were plenty of activities available, and jet skis could often be seen near the private beach. Swimming in the sea was comfortable, and we enjoyed spending time on the beautiful coastline. We had requested a birthday cake before our stay and were able to celebrate successfully. The hotel's rooftop was open for stargazing, which provided a very soothing experience.

    Wonderful Hotel

    We stayed here for the first time during our family summer vacation. We took a shuttle bus from the airport to the Hotel, where we were warmly welcomed by the staff who helped carry our luggage from the bus to our Room. There were two types of welcome drinks, and while my family enjoyed them, I was able to check in quickly at the front desk. From our Room, we had a stunning view of an emerald-colored sea. The bathtub was very spacious, and with well-stocked amenities, it was easy to relax and refresh after traveling. We opted for a breakfast Plan that included a buffet with a wide variety of delicious options. The made-to-order omelets and pork shabu-shabu were especially delightful! On the second morning, we tried a Japanese set meal at another dining venue within the Hotel; it was equally enjoyable with authentic flavors. Both venues were spacious enough for us to dine comfortably at our own pace. The Hotel also features an outdoor pool where we had plenty of fun after enjoying time in the sea!

    Perfect for families.

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with our 2-year-old. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we didn’t feel it was too crowded, allowing our child to enjoy the stay comfortably. We are grateful for the kindness of the staff. Although the beach is a bit far, it was very beautiful.

    Located right in front of a stunning sandy beach, making it incredibly valuable. I once saw this beach from the island across and always wanted to stay here. It was great.
