    This is my favorite accommodation.

    I love the Junior Suite here and stay 2–3 times a year. I truly enjoy the ocean-facing view, the breakfast buffet, and the lounge. Although it’s a bit far from the station, it’s quiet and spacious, while still being conveniently walkable to Meriken Park and Motomachi Shopping Street. As you’d expect from a long-established Hotel, the service is excellent—this is an Accommodation I visit not for sightseeing, but to relax at the Hotel. Even when you want to enjoy a Hotel stay, if the room size and service quality aren’t up to a certain standard it becomes stressful, so an Accommodation like this is truly valuable. It’s my favorite Hotel, and I hope it stays just as it is forever.

    Beautiful night view.

    We stayed on August 30 and 31. We stayed in a Room with a view of the Ferris wheel, and the night scenery was very beautiful. There was a wide variety of food, and even we who can’t eat as much as we used to felt like indulging. We had a great time. P.S. We accidentally left something behind when checking out. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the Hotel staff. Thank you for your prompt assistance—it arrived safely at our home. Thank you very much.

    It was very comfortable.

    As soon as I entered the lobby, a staff member greeted me, and I was able to check in right away without waiting. The Room was spacious, spotless, and very clean—extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, but the clothes I had hung on hangers felt slightly damp, so I wondered if the temperature and humidity were being controlled. (It was a perfectly sunny day.) There was a balcony, and the Mosaic Ferris wheel was right in front of me—it looked beautiful. Breakfast was buffet-style. It was unusual to find donuts and hamburgers along with freshly squeezed orange juice and smoothies, so those were the first things I tried. If I had one request, it would be more vegetables. The shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom were great, so I bought them at the shop to take home.

    A truly wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed here again for the first time in about 25 years. The Hotel still has the same wonderful atmosphere, and I was once again able to fully enjoy the vivid view from my Room. And the breakfast was absolutely satisfying! Not only is there a great variety of dishes, but the made-to-order burgers are prepared after you order. There are plenty of toppings, and the size was just right. Also, it’s rare to find a Hotel that serves breakfast until 11:00. This is a fantastic Hotel that I can confidently recommend to friends!

    The Room felt a bit ...

    The Room felt a bit dated, especially the bathroom and plumbing fixtures, but it was clean and not uncomfortable. Unfortunately, when I opened the package of the amenity hair tie, it seemed old—the elastic had deteriorated and it was unusable. Breakfast had a wide variety of items, including many unique options, and was delicious.

    Satisfied.

    We stayed for two nights as a family of four (two adults, one junior high school student, and one elementary school student) while sightseeing. The lobby is spacious and pleasant. Breakfast is delicious; the menu is the same each day, but we had no complaints. There are many monuments nearby, so there’s plenty to see. It’s a bit outside the city center, so you may need to be careful during periods of extreme heat.

    Beautiful Hotel

    The Hotel parking lot was full because of the car right before mine! I had to take a long detour and parked at a nearby Times lot. It cost 2,700 yen when I left the next day—an unpleasant extra expense. The Hotel was well equipped and clean, and the Room was compact but comfortable. The TV was a 55-inch BRAVIA. I brought my MacBook to connect it to the TV with a cable to watch YouTube and such, but I could log in with my email address and password instead. That was very convenient! The breakfast and dinner buffet—well, it was about what you’d expect. It wasn’t especially delicious. A bit disappointing. The balcony was spacious, with a great view of the port town, so I ended up taking lots of photos. After dinner, I went out thinking I’d walk to Mosaic to help digest, but it was so humid that I gave up halfway. The amenities were acceptable and I didn’t have any particular complaints, but I probably wouldn’t come back again.

    Amenities & Towels

    The view from the Room and the overall atmosphere in the Hotel were very satisfying! However, when I checked things right after entering the Room, I wondered—are the towels old? Are the amenities still the same as they used to be? It felt like nothing had been updated, which was a bit disappointing, especially for Meriken Park Oriental.

    Used for our wedding anniversary.

    Every two years, it has been our family tradition to spend our wedding anniversary at a Hotel with an overnight stay including breakfast and dinner. Each time we have different impressions—some places are great, others not so much—but this time, when we entered the Room, my first impression was that it had been renovated and the carnations were beautiful. At the AllFlag dinner buffet, they even took a commemorative photo for us and gave us a printed copy, which made us truly happy. We plan to put it in a frame and display it. The food was delicious; I can hardly believe they were cooking tempura in this heat, but the freshly fried shrimp and lotus root were exquisite. There were also generous chunks of meat in the beef stew—truly luxurious dishes. I also liked the small canvas bag sold at the shop on the lobby floor featuring original Hotel items, so I bought one. The insulated bag we received as a bonus also looks like it will be useful. Thank you for taking such good care of us. (P.S.) We heard that you opened six months after the Great Hanshin Earthquake. It feels like a miracle that you were able to open only slightly later than planned, and we cannot help but feel joy that we were able to stay here as part of that miracle. Thank you very much.

    Executive

    This was my 15th stay, and I always use the executive floor. It’s truly relaxing, and the four service time slots were each excellent. This time I was also able to stay at a great value. From the Room balcony, we could see fireworks right in front of us, and the night view was wonderful as well. All of the staff provided very polite and attentive service, and it really felt like one of Kobe’s leading Hotels. However, at checkout when I paid the parking fee, the female front desk staff member left a very good impression with her kind manner of speaking, but the male staff member next to her never looked away from his computer and remained silent throughout. Since it was right as we were leaving, it left me feeling quite disappointed. Still, I visit three times a year, so I do recommend this Hotel.

    The view was wonderful.

    The ocean view and the mosaic scenery were stunning both during the day and at night. The staff are kind and always make me feel at ease. The club lounge has a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for unwinding and refreshing.

    We enjoyed the lounge again this time.

    This time, we visited with a couple of friends. We enjoyed the lounge four times. The curry and beef stew were especially delicious. However, the roast beef was dry and not very good, which was disappointing. Still, the draft beer, white wine, and red wine were all excellent, and we enjoyed them until closing time.\n\nThe Room was bright and comfortable. The balcony was particularly spacious with a great view—wonderful.\n\nThis was our fourth stay, and we would like to make another Reservation. Thank you for taking care of us. We’re glad our friends enjoyed it too.

    Stayed multiple nigh...

    Stayed multiple nights. Overall satisfaction: 75/100. Great views and a comfortable Room. My impression is that the appeal would probably double with stronger hospitality and communication. - It’s far from the station, but you can quickly hop on a bus at Sannomiya Station. - The view from the Room is excellent. Even considering the inconvenient access, it’s still a plus. - The Hotel seems to aim for an as-much-as-possible self-service approach. I completed everything myself on a tablet screen—from check-in procedures to membership registration and issuing the card key. There was no Hotel staff nearby to assist. It’s efficient, but for this price it doesn’t feel like a typical business hotel, and it left me with an odd feeling—like I was being made to do the work. - Neither the Facility nor the Room is new, but they’re simple and I had no complaints. However, cleaning (e.g., the bathroom) from the second day onward felt somewhat careless. - The towels and pajamas were extremely comfortable. I even bought the pajamas to take home. Amenities and the hair dryer were average. - Breakfast offered a good balance of standard items and local specialties, so I was satisfied.

    A Hotel Where You Can Enjoy the Feeling of a Cruise

    It was an even more relaxing stay than I imagined. The Room felt anything but dated—both the interior and the bathroom were spotless, and the blue fresh flowers on the table were a lovely touch! Everything was completely odor-free, from the linens and towels to even the restroom—truly impressive. I especially loved the thoughtful amenities: bamboo towels, comfortable pajamas, and eco-friendly natural-fiber washcloths. The balance of great taste and comfort was exactly my style. I also enjoyed opening the window and taking in the mosaic Ferris wheel view from the balcony. The building’s design feels like a cruise ship, making it refreshing to dine and relax while looking out at the sea. And since it doesn’t sway, there’s no need to worry about seasickness—another plus! The staff’s warm smiles and hospitality truly lifted my spirits.

    Resort Hotel

    This was my first stay since visiting the year after the earthquake. I still remember how amazed my children and I were by the high-backed chairs in the lobby—it felt like a foreign Hotel—and it’s been 30 years since then. Now that I’m much older, there were a few things I noticed, like slipping in the bathtub and not being able to eat much at the beer buffet because it was mostly Western food. Still, stepping out from the room onto the terrace and seeing the beautiful night view truly moved me. It really is Kobe’s best Resort Hotel. The room does show its age, but the bed, pillows, duvet, and pajamas were very comfortable, and I slept soundly. Everyone on staff at the beer restaurant was refreshingly pleasant and kind. At check-in, I would have appreciated a smile from the woman at reception—more than anything special, being welcomed with a smile makes you happy. There was no shower cap or skincare amenities provided in the room, which was a bit inconvenient, but everything I saw brought back memories, making this trip both nostalgic and new. Thank you for taking care of us.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the resort atmosphere.

    I stayed in a south-facing Room. With nothing blocking the view, the ocean stretched out before me, making the Room feel wonderfully open and spacious. The sea breeze was pleasant, and even though it was August, I spent the evenings with the windows open. The loungewear was also very comfortable, and I slept soundly through the night until morning. The bamboo towels and thoughtfully selected amenities reflected great hospitality. It was a truly wonderful Hotel, and it was a stay that made me want to come back again.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed here during the Obon holiday. Thank you very much for upgrading my Room—I was truly grateful. Thanks to that, it became an unforgettable trip, and I feel deeply moved and thankful. I usually only read Reviews, but this time it was so wonderful that I’m posting for the first time. I’m the type who likes to stay at various Hotels and have different experiences, but this is a Hotel I definitely want to stay at again. Thank you very much for everything.

    The Room had a toile...

    The Room had a toilet inside the bathroom, which was inconvenient to use. There was also no sofa, so it was hard to relax. The dinner buffet was poor; both the ingredients and seasoning were disappointing. Honestly, I had trusted the Oriental Hotel’s standards to some extent, so this was a letdown. I was also surprised that during breakfast, a staff member hurried us along with “it’s about time,” even though we were still within the allotted time. The only good impression was the view from the Room. I usually stay at other hotels near Meriken Park Oriental Hotel, but this time I decided to try a different Hotel. Since I was traveling with someone, I felt sorry for them as well because it wasn’t up to an acceptable level. I will not use it again in the future.

    We stayed as three g...

    We stayed as three generations. It was wonderful to be able to choose whatever we liked for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. We also loved spending time in a place that feels like a symbol of Kobe. The staff’s friendly greetings were lovely as well. Our one-year-old grandchild was excited and seemed to have a great time. We booked through IKYU, and it always leaves us feeling glad we did. Our room was on the 12th floor, so the view was great. Thank you very much.

    Power outlet

    Although the Hotel is older, it was very clean and the location was excellent. One inconvenience was that there was only one power outlet in the room, located behind the TV, which made it difficult to charge devices or use the kettle. It would have been helpful to have an outlet by the bed as well. If I had to be picky, having two luggage racks would make things more convenient (though that may be typical for a business hotel).

    Perfect for a well-deserved treat-yourself stay!

    I treated myself to a Hotel stay as a gift! After check-in, the view from my Room was wonderful—Meriken Park, the sea, and the mountains. Stepping out onto the balcony, the ocean breeze felt amazing, and it was just as great as I’d hoped. The welcome champagne was delicious, but since it has to be served by staff, I’d appreciate it if someone could cover when they step away from their station. I stayed in connection with the Kobe Architecture Festival and was busy sightseeing during the day, but at night I visited the VIEW BAR and enjoyed sparkling night views in a different direction along with live piano music. The Singapore Sling and mojito cocktails put me in a great mood. The Room layout feels a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable—I slept very well. In the morning, I enjoyed another beautiful view from the balcony. Choosing a breakfast-included Plan was absolutely the right decision! The fresh orange juice machine was very popular, and it tasted so fresh and delicious. The French toast and locally inspired dishes—Hyogo onions and beef, eggs, whitebait (shirasu), and more—were excellent. After breakfast I relaxed in my Room until checkout, but around 10:00 I could hear a couple waiting to check in next door talking in the hallway, so soundproofing may not be very strong. Still, overall I was extremely satisfied and would love to return in another season.

    The Accommodation I wanted to stay at met my expectations.

    I made a Reservation for the Moderate Twin (East View) Room. The Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Fireworks started at 7:30 p.m., and from the East View we could see them straight ahead, which felt like a real bonus. The only drawback was that the shower water pressure in the bathroom was weak. Dinner and breakfast at “ALL FLAGS” were also enjoyable, with a wide variety of options. Some Reviews said the front desk service was not good, but I felt the staff were helpful—for example, they guided me through the procedures before 3:00 p.m. check-in.

    A birthday trip with kids

    We stayed for one night for our child’s birthday trip. You kindly prepared flowers for the birthday and balloons at dinner, and our child was very happy. Thank you. We like this Hotel because the sea and night views in Kobe are beautiful, and the food is delicious. One thing we would like is a wider range of amenities available to borrow. Unfortunately, the Room we stayed in this time had a lot of hair on the floor, so we ended up picking it up and cleaning ourselves. If we have the opportunity to stay again, we would appreciate more thorough floor cleaning.

    During the summer holidays

    I stayed here because it has the image of a good, long-established Hotel. There aren’t any izakayas within walking distance, but there is a shuttle bus, so even if you plan to drink, you can manage. They should at least mention the welcome drink—I didn’t know about it. Breakfast is good.

    I visited for a retreat to rest my body and mind during the hot season. The clean Room and the ocean views and night scenery from the spacious deck were wonderful. The food and drinks in the lounge were also delicious, and before I knew it, it was already 1:00 PM checkout. I relaxed to the fullest and truly enjoyed my stay.

    Satisfied

    Staying for two nights and three days allowed us to relax and spend plenty of time in the Hotel. We went out for dinner, but had breakfast at the Hotel; there was a wide variety, so be careful not to overeat. Since we stayed two mornings, we split it up and enjoyed many different items. The Hotel was clean throughout, and the staff were courteous and attentive. We are grateful for a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

    It was great.

    As I checked in late, I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but they were very courteous. The night view was great. Nankinmachi and Mosaic were within walking distance, so the location was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. I was satisfied.
