    Exactly!

    I stayed during the Obon holiday. The service was exceptional, and I felt the refined elegance of a true Hotel. The building and guest rooms have a sense of history, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. Breakfast was also delicious item by item, and I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again.

    As always, the service was excellent.

    As always, the service was outstanding. I stayed at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo for business, and everyone was kind and attentive. Since I stayed in the new wing this time, I almost got lost inside the building, but staff immediately approached me, which made my stay truly reassuring. When I stayed at the Imperial Hotel Kyoto for sightseeing at the end of April this year, I was also deeply impressed by the wonderful hospitality. I believe Imperial Hotels offer the best service. As for breakfast, I had been looking forward to the scrambled eggs because they used to have a perfect creamy texture, but this time they were cooked more firmly. Since it’s summer, that may have been a precaution to prevent food poisoning. In any case, their thoughtfulness is exceptional, and I would like to stay again.

    My beloved Imperial Hotel

    The staff’s hospitality is so wonderful that I keep coming back to stay here. In particular, the older (gentleman) staff members provide outstanding service with real personality shining through. I was truly impressed by how attentive and proper they were, even toward someone as young as me. Of course, the Room, meals, gym, pool, sauna, lounge—everything was great! The facilities feel reassuringly well designed. The indoor pool area is quite cold, so I’d be happy if the air temperature could be raised along with the water temperature. Next time, I might come and look for a favorite staff member.

    An outstanding Hotel, as always!

    This was my first stay. Due to the typhoon, I arrived at the Hotel earlier than planned, and I truly appreciate your flexibility. The staff at the entrance driveway, everyone at the front desk, and everyone who welcomed me with big smiles at the breakfast buffet made my stay truly happy and enjoyable. Thank you very much.     I was impressed by the exceptional cleanliness and attentive service.

    I stayed at the Imperial Hotel to celebrate my birthday. The first thing that surprised me was how immaculate the Hotel was. Because it is a historic Hotel, I expected there might be a little grime on the walls or some dust in the corners of the washroom, but there was nothing like that at all—everything was truly spotless down to every detail. I have stayed at several luxury Hotels and even suites before, but in terms of cleanliness, this was the most impressive Hotel I have experienced. They also offered thoughtful, understated touches for my birthday celebration, which made me very happy. At breakfast, the freshly made omelet was delicious. We also had lunch at one of the restaurants inside the Hotel; every dish was consistently excellent and beyond complaint. The coffee was wonderful as well. What left an especially strong impression on me was the service from the staff. At night when we passed staff members in the hallway, they naturally greeted us warmly, which gave us a real sense of comfort and reassurance. In addition, in an elevator, a female staff member who was carrying another guest’s luggage guided us into the elevator first—even though she was in the middle of her own work. These may not be flashy gestures, but their attention to small details so guests can stay comfortably truly showed me just how high the Imperial Hotel’s service standards are. I also noticed that elevators for staying guests are designed so they are not fully visible from the lobby. Even details like this reflected a distinctly Japanese level of consideration for privacy and guest comfort. It was only a one-night stay, but it allowed me to experience “true hotel service” refined over many years—not just newness or luxury in Facilities, but also cleanliness, cuisine quality, attentive care from staff, and an overall sense of security and ease. As a Japanese person, I feel very proud of this Hotel. It is a Hotel I would absolutely love to stay at again.

    You are always welcomed warmly, no matter when you visit.

    This time, I stayed in the Tower Building. It had been a while, but they remembered my requests and had everything properly prepared. I’m always impressed every time I stay. The only drawback is that the Tower Building is a bit far away—after all, the Main Building is better.

    Impressive Empire H

    I am deeply impressed by the courteous and professional service of every staff member at Imperial Hotel H Front, the impeccably clean guest rooms, and the outstanding yet reasonably priced takeaway foods from H Shop Gargantua, which far exceed expectations compared with both the in-house and outside restaurants.

    A Hotel Loved by Writers

    There is a book by Shizuka Ijuin titled *Hotels Loved by Writers*. It features a Hotel in Ginza, where he reportedly stayed as a regular for about six months. I have stayed there several times as well, but to me it feels more like a Hotel in Hibiya, because the view from the window is always Hibiya Park. This time I stayed in the Tower Building, and from my window I could look down on the city’s high-rises and the trains below. That view was wonderful too. As someone from the countryside, seeing all those buildings still makes my heart race. In the evening, while watching the trains and city skyline, I noticed something glowing red—the sign of Mitsukoshi Department Store at Ginza 4-chome. I was genuinely moved to realize just how close this Hotel is to Ginza. When I checked on my phone, it said it was a 14-minute walk away. Since it was extremely hot during the day, I decided to take an early-morning walk instead. I went to bed around midnight as usual, but woke up around 3 a.m. That was far too early, so I decided to head out at 4 a.m. It took nearly five minutes just to get from the Tower Building down to the main entrance. Walking straight along Miyuki-dori after leaving the entrance, I soon saw GINZA SIX. Turning left there and continuing on brought me to Ginza Mitsukoshi—exactly 14 minutes later. Once again, I felt quietly impressed, and finally understood what Shizuka Ijuin meant by “a Hotel in Ginza.” At check-in, for the first time ever someone said to me, “Thank you for staying with us again.” A bellman also mentioned that I had used Kamikochi Imperial Hotel as well. I used the pool too, and the staff at reception were excellent. I went again the next day. For breakfast, I dined at Les Saisons. The calm atmosphere was lovely—and since I went first thing in the early morning, it felt like having the place all to myself. At checkout, after leaving my luggage with them, I went for lunch at a nearby tonkatsu restaurant that I hadn’t visited in quite some time. Like me, even its owner had grown older over the years. It made me want to stay at this Hotel again—and come back for tonkatsu once more.

    Thank you for your warm hospitality.

    I was nervous as it was my first stay at the Imperial Hotel, but all the staff greeted me in a friendly way, which I truly appreciated. For breakfast, I could choose from the buffet, Japanese/Western restaurants, or room service, so I tried room service for the first time. I was able to order from the tablet in my Room, but I didn’t understand how to use it and called for help; the person in charge kindly guided me and I was able to place my order. Thank you very much. Thanks to that, I enjoyed an elegant breakfast. The room service staff were also very kind—thank you. The Room was very well cleaned, which was great, but the laundry basket in the changing area was worn out and stood out because everything else was so wonderful—sorry. Other than that, there was nothing that concerned me, and I had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

    Thank you as always.

    I have stayed here to mark important milestones in my life. This time as well, I stayed for an early birthday celebration. Outside was the hustle and bustle of the city and humid heat, but the lobby was comfortable. Although it was crowded due to the weekend, check-in was smooth, and once I entered my Room there was no noise, allowing me to spend a relaxing time. Even though it’s just ordinary time, the time spent in the Room feels special, and each visit reminds me how glad I am to be able to return. Of course, I also appreciate the convenient access to Ginza and Hibiya, but I will stay again in search of that special time at this Hotel. Thank you very much.

    Although we live in Tokyo, we stayed to celebrate my partner’s birthday. We had always dreamed of staying at the Imperial Hotel and were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely time. Next time, we would like to stay in the Main Building.

    I stayed here for the first time the night before attending a Takarazuka performance.

    Staff are stationed throughout the Hotel. Most are highly trained Japanese professionals. Before guests even need to ask, staff approach with a smile and offer assistance, so no one is left confused or searching for help. I think it is a wonderful Hotel. The guest rooms and baths may feel different from those at international chains, but more than that, it feels like an exceptionally sincere, spotless, and reassuring Hotel—one Japan can be proud of.

    The Iconic Imperial Hotel

    I was finally able to stay at the Imperial Hotel. I requested a park-view Room. I would have preferred a location with a better view over the Imperial Palace, but I’ll save that for next time. Check-in involved a short wait, but the staff’s perfectly timed reassurance that I wouldn’t be kept waiting made me think, “This really is the Imperial Hotel” (laugh). The guest Room was spotless down to every detail and felt exceptionally clean. The water and amenities used paper and wood materials, showing an environmentally conscious approach. The shower pressure was excellent—truly what you’d expect from a top-tier Hotel. The only other place where the shower pressure left such an impression was the Palace Hotel. The TV wasn’t a modern smart TV, which somehow reflected the pride of Japan’s classic flagship Hotels. For breakfast, I went to the buffet restaurant and waited about 20 minutes, but there was no confusion thanks to the numbered ticket system. While relaxing and enjoying the greenery of the Imperial Palace through the window, I was soon shown to my seat. Each dish was carefully prepared; in particular, the grilled fish was outstanding. I also loved how thick-cut and satisfying the smoked salmon was. The mattress firmness was just right, and I slept very well. Checkout also came with a short wait, but again their perfectly timed communication allowed me to leave feeling great. It may not be flashy, but with its calm atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food, it made for a very comfortable stay. I’d like to stay again. It was wonderful.

    Japan’s Pride

    A well-known Hotel that represents Japan. This was my first stay, and it truly lived up to its reputation—it was wonderful. The Room was not overly ornate, but instead had a refined, simple design that was very functional, allowing me to relax in great comfort. What impressed me most was the service. I could really feel that every staff member took pride in their work. There were many international guests in the lobby as well, and I felt that the Imperial Hotel’s exceptional hospitality conveys the best of Japan. The location is also excellent, and I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality.

    It was our first stay, and thank you very much for your flexible support in arranging a surprise birthday cake. It was a bit disappointing that the buffet breakfast ended a little early, but the breakfast was very delicious! Thank you as well for preparing a wonderful gift for the birthday guest and for your hospitality-filled service. It was a truly lovely Hotel. We would like to stay again before the renovation and enjoy the buffet and Le Saison breakfast next time. Thank you very much!

    Only the café au lait was disappointing.

    It was my first time in a while staying at the Hotel. The lobby flowers felt very summery—sunflowers, along with lovely red and pink roses—and I was especially happy to see my favorite sunflowers. As always, many newlywed couples were taking commemorative photos in front of the flowers, which made me feel that things are returning to normal. The front desk service was excellent as ever, and the staff we passed in the corridors and those we met in the elevator were also very courteous, making us feel truly valued. From our Tower Floor room, the view was great—we could clearly see Hibiya Park and Yurakucho Station. The bathroom was a comfortable size, and there was a wide variety of amenities such as toothbrushes, which was very helpful. At our 10-year-old daughter’s request, we ate lunch and dinner outside. We used the breakfast buffet on both days. We’ve had omelets at many hotels, but our daughter said this one was the best she has ever tasted—the buttery aroma and egg flavor were truly delicious. I especially liked the minestrone. On the first day, when my wife (who loves café au lait) asked a staff member for it, they brought it in a large teapot; I tried some too and it was excellent. However, on the second day when she ordered café au lait again, they brought warm milk in a small pitcher and coffee in a cup and told her to make it herself. That meant having to order coffee each time for refills, but staff did not come by often enough, which made it difficult. It was very disappointing that service differed depending on who assisted us when we expected consistent service. Aside from that issue, it was an extremely comfortable stay.

    As expected of Japan’s best.

    Arriving in Tokyo at the height of summer, it was a scorching 37°C as soon as we reached the station. We took a taxi to the Hotel and checked in right away. We enjoyed the pool and great dining in this urban oasis, then headed home safely. With an unbeatable location and perfectly attentive “Japan’s best” service, it was a deeply relaxing and highly satisfying Tokyo stay.

    We’ve decided on the Imperial Hotel again.

    From the moment we arrived, the staff were very attentive. The entire building is carpeted, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The luxurious chandelier and beautiful sunflowers were wonderful! The meals were excellent and delicious, and after breakfast we visited many jewelry shops, antique specialty stores, and art galleries where we could see a Picasso painting! From the Room, we could see the Imperial Palace and spend time at a leisurely pace.

    The Tower Wing was also quite good.

    Over 15 years ago, I stayed in the Tower Building and was disappointed with the unit bath, so I tried to use the Main Building whenever possible. On this business trip to Tokyo, I stayed in the Tower Building again for the first time in a while. The Facility were better than I remembered, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom had been renovated and was very clean. I especially liked the rain shower with strong water pressure. I’ve heard that rebuilding is planned soon, but it was a very satisfying stay.

    A trip for two with my mother

    One-night stay in the Tower building with breakfast included The Room was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The amenities were wonderful—especially the slippers! Breakfast was a buffet. The view was great, and everything at the buffet was delicious, so we really enjoyed it. Also, thanks to the courteous and kind service from everyone working at the Imperial Hotel, my trip with my mother became a truly special time. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    It was really disappointing that the pool and sauna were unavailable. I wish we had been informed in advance.

    My first stay at the Imperial. I had made my Reservation months in advance, so I was really looking forward to it. The atmosphere and spaces were impeccable, and I enjoyed the historical exhibits as well. I also learned for the first time that Gargantua offers a small discount in the evening—of course only on what’s still available—but it was nice to try things at a better price. The meat pie was curry-flavored and wonderfully crisp. The melon bread was soft and fluffy. Everything was delicious. However, the only disappointment was that we couldn’t use the pool or sauna. I had been looking forward to relaxing in the calm, adult atmosphere of the pool, and my daughter was excited about the sauna. Since we even received an email saying our Reservation date was approaching, I wish this had been mentioned there. It’s such an important part of a Hotel stay, so it was truly disappointing… We don’t get to stay at the Imperial often, so it really felt like a shame.

    I am satisfied.

    I stay here a few times a year, and this time my Room was upgraded, allowing me to stay in an Imperial Room. We enjoyed services that were different from before, and my wife was very satisfied. I always look forward to breakfast at Le Saison, and it was excellent as well.
