One of Huis Ten Bosch’s attractions
We made the most of many Official Hotel perks—such as free next-day passport admission, early park entry, an airport Shuttle Service bus, a guest-only cruise, and a luggage delivery service—and fully enjoyed our stay at Huis Ten Bosch. Even after getting tired from exploring Huis Ten Bosch, it was great to be able to return quickly and rest.

The Ultimate Summer Vacation
We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay in early August for a family trip. The welcome cruise we had been looking forward to felt like a private charter, perhaps because it was late, and the sightseeing cruise inside Huis Ten Bosch exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is stunning—not only from the outside, but also with an incredibly elaborate interior that feels overwhelmingly luxurious. After walking down seemingly endless wide corridors, we were shown to our Room, which had a spiral staircase; the upstairs bedroom area was charming and was a big hit with our two daughters. For dinner on the first night, we made a Reservation at one of the Hotel restaurants and enjoyed a delicious meal while listening to live music. Breakfast requires some caution as the buffet can get crowded, but everything—including shabu-shabu—was excellent. The only drawback is that the Onsen is located some distance away, though that can’t really be helped. The Hotel staff were very polished and left us with a great impression. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

I stayed at Hotel Eu...
I stayed at Hotel Europe in a Premier Suite Twin, a Hotel I had dreamed of for 20 years. I have traveled to Europe overseas as well, and this was a wonderful Hotel exactly as I had hoped. Inside the building, fresh sunflowers and yellow roses were beautifully arranged, and the staff also wore sunflower brooches. The seasonal hospitality left a strong impression. I booked a Plan with breakfast, but I was able to switch to Room service via the QR code in the Room (the American breakfast came at no extra charge), so I could enjoy a relaxed and elegant breakfast in my Room. The only disappointment was that there was no butter knife provided. Based on Reviews, I had been concerned about the age of the building and plumbing, but while some furniture did show its age, the toilet had been renovated, and both the shower head and hair dryer were ReFa. The air conditioning, water pressure, and drainage were all fine—overall very comfortable. I recommend checking official Hotel benefits in advance. If you purchase a 1DAY passport for Huis Ten Bosch on your first day, you can receive another 1DAY passport for the next day at the front desk. Child Sharing Existing Bedding is free up to elementary school age (breakfast not included), and it was great that children sharing existing bedding are also eligible as long as they have purchased a passport. The free Shuttle Service bus to Nagasaki Airport requires Reservation and has limited seats, so booking early is recommended. The roads are prone to congestion; this time there was also an accident and we arrived about 40 minutes late. Also, since the guest-only bus does not connect with the Seaside Liner train line, we used the 15:00 check-in cruise instead. This service requires a 1DAY passport, so unless you are in a hurry, departures after 15:30 may be easier to use. For Huis Ten Bosch Onsen, you can pick up a discount voucher at the front desk and use it by paying only the Hot Spring Tax of 150 yen. With Shuttle Service included it was convenient—an old-fashioned Onsen also used by locals. We dined at “De Admiral” and “Kissuitei,” where service was consistently attentive throughout; everything—from the view to presentation to taste—was excellent, leaving us completely satisfied. It truly lived up to my long-held dream of staying here, and it is definitely an Accommodation I would love to choose again when visiting Huis Ten Bosch.

I’m glad I stayed at Hotel Europe.
This was truly a Hotel with outstanding hospitality. Live music was always playing, and every staff member greeted us with a smile—an exceptional level of service. Honestly, I’d give it six stars if I could. Although there are signs of age, everything was very well cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. We only had breakfast twice and lunch once, but both were absolutely delicious. It also included next-day tickets for Huis Ten Bosch, so the value for money is excellent. I would love to stay again. Thank you everyone.

Highly satisfied
It was raining that day, but as soon as we arrived, we were given towels. We also appreciated the courteous explanations and the warm smiles among the Hotel staff. Even just our Room had a refined, stately atmosphere with real character. Breakfast was served at the French restaurant, so we could enjoy an elegant, relaxed meal, and my friend was absolutely delighted. When I visit Nagasaki or Huis Ten Bosch again, it’s no exaggeration to say this is my number one Hotel choice for Accommodation. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

Top-tier Hotel...
Since it was my first time visiting Huis Ten Bosch, I chose the top-tier Hotel. It may be a classic European-style Hotel, but the Room toilet’s washlet wasn’t working, and several other things were a bit disappointing.

The Hotel I Wanted to Stay At
This was my second visit to Huis Ten Bosch. Last time I stayed at a different Hotel, which was lovely, but this time I spent two nights at the one I had been wanting to stay in. My Room was a standard twin facing the inland sea, room-only. For check-in, I used the welcome cruise. It’s a short cruise, but my excitement soared while on board (laugh). In an instant, it felt like Europe (laugh). Staff welcomed me at the pier, and a special time began. Every staff member provided excellent service, and I was able to spend my time inside the Hotel very comfortably. The moment I opened the door to my Room, I thought, “Wow—so beautiful!” The furnishings and amenities were wonderful. What surprised me most was that the cup and saucer were Noritake, which made coffee and tea in the Room feel truly exceptional. In the lounge, I enjoyed afternoon tea. Having afternoon tea while looking out over the inland sea with lovely live music was amazing. It was such a wonderful Hotel that it made me want to visit Huis Ten Bosch just to stay here again.

All of Europe
This was my first stay, and it felt wonderfully like being in Europe. I lived in Germany for five years, and this place is the real thing. The canal and streetscape seen from the Room make you feel as if you’re in a town somewhere in Europe. There are plenty of restaurants, and everything we tried was delicious. In particular, this Hotel’s breakfast was outstanding—you can even enjoy champagne. All of the staff were truly professional, which made the experience very pleasant. I joined the paid early-morning rose viewing tour; it was quiet before general admission, and with the guided gentleman included, it was absolutely worth it because you could enjoy the fragrance at its best. It felt like I went to the Netherlands without any time difference and had an amazing holiday—I’d like to visit again around this time next year.

To celebrate Mother’...
To celebrate Mother’s Day, the three of us—my parents and I—stayed at Europe, which my mother had long wished to visit. We always choose a connecting Room, and as expected from a top-class Hotel, it was a wonderful Room: refined, immaculate, and truly high quality. Since my parents are elderly, I asked many questions to ensure they could move around smoothly, and I am grateful for the staff’s consistently courteous and kind support. Even after check-in, when I asked about the parking QR code, they promptly brought it to our Room. The staff’s calm hospitality and gentle smiles made us feel very at ease. Lunch at Kissuitei and breakfast at The Admiral were both thoughtfully prepared, and every dish was delicious. We would love to stay at Europe again. Thank you very much for all your help during our stay.

First time in Nagasaki & Huis Ten Bosch
The parking area was hard to find… With such a vast property, it may be unavoidable, but even when we wanted to ask for directions, it took quite some effort just to find a staff member. That said, no matter who we asked or what we asked about, everyone was smiling and very kind. We ran into many problems on this trip due to insufficient planning, but the front desk staff and others gave us detailed guidance. We were traveling with my elderly parents who have difficulty walking, so we couldn’t get around as much as we hoped, but we still had a wonderful time. Thank you for kindly lending us a wheelchair for two days. On the first day, the staff member who showed us to our Room—perhaps a new employee?—took us on quite a detour from the elevator, and my father, who cannot walk for long periods, ended up completely exhausted. It seems we took the wrong elevator (left/right). Since three of us stayed in one Room it was understandably small, but it would be spacious enough for two people. The Room was clean and cute. However, there was no wash basin in the bathroom, which seemed to trouble my elderly parents a bit. We really enjoyed the Japanese-style breakfast set—it was delicious. Thank you very much. Next time I’d like to visit again with friends at a different season and take things more slowly.

My stay at Hotel Europe exceeded all expectations.
I stayed at Hotel Europe, and once I actually experienced it, I could feel its charm in so many moments throughout my stay. What impressed me first was the guest-only canal cruise available at check-in. Riding a dedicated boat and heading to the hotel while viewing the streets of Huis Ten Bosch from the water felt truly special—surrounded by gentle currents and beautiful scenery, it felt like an extraordinary experience had already begun before arrival. The room had a classic, calming atmosphere and was spotless down to every detail, making it very comfortable. The staff were also exceptionally courteous; their thoughtful attention and warm smiles made me feel at ease and greatly enhanced my overall satisfaction. For breakfast, I ate at Anchors Lounge (Western-style buffet). The live kitchen served omelets and beef shabu-shabu, and I also enjoyed Hotel Europe’s original sparkling wine—everything was excellent. As another guest benefit, if you have a ticket for your check-in day, you also receive a ticket for your check-out day. In addition, Early Park Entry allows you to enter the park one hour before general admission. Not only could I enjoy the quiet park before it got crowded, but I was also able to use popular attractions with shorter wait times. During my stay, “Taste of Kyushu” happened to be taking place as well, so I fully enjoyed this food festival featuring gourmet specialties from across Kyushu. Visiting stall after stall in a lively canal-side bar-like atmosphere while enjoying wine and delicious food became another memorable highlight. It was such a satisfying stay that I would absolutely choose Hotel Europe again when visiting Huis Ten Bosch.

High-end
I think Hotel Europe is a very satisfying Hotel. The staff were kind and attentive. There is a pier on the Hotel grounds, and guests only can enjoy an elegant canal cruise. It runs twice a day, and I recommend making a Reservation for the cruise. It goes around the canals nonstop. For breakfast, you can choose Japanese, Western, or buffet; I had the Western option. You can dine while looking out over the canal from your table. As an official partner Hotel, guest benefits include a dedicated guest parking lot, early entry before opening time, and free delivery to the Hotel of items purchased at shops in the park. In addition, if you enter by purchasing a 1-day passport on your check-in day, you can receive a guest benefit pass at the front desk the next morning.

Wonderful hospitality
In a word, it was wonderful. Above all, we could truly feel that everyone—at the front desk, restaurant, cruise, and delivery services—wanted guests to have an enjoyable stay. The hospitality was outstanding. Being able to enjoy a Western-style breakfast course is a lovely way to start the day in an elegant mood. The restaurant staff’s service was also excellent—their natural smiles and professional yet effortless hospitality truly felt like genuine, top-class service. Please let us stay again. Of course, you can enjoy Huis Ten Bosch itself, but I think part of the experience is also immersing yourself in the hospitality of Hotel Europe. The live music in the front lobby was performed by truly talented musicians. The gorgeous fresh flowers at the entrance immediately caught our eye, and the gentle welcome from the staff at the doors added an extra touch of warmth and charm. Thank you very much.

All set.
It was truly the best. We arrived at the Hotel by boat, enjoyed a spacious Room with a view of the tower across the water, had an Amsterdam-style buffet in the evening, relaxed in a roomy bath, and started the morning with a blissful Western set breakfast course. The breakfast was refined, and we enjoyed it slowly from our seats. In particular, every dessert at the end was delicious—the perfect finale to breakfast and the best we’ve ever had. My wife and I have decided we’d like to stay again.

This was my first trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I had decided to stay in a Terrace Room at Hotel Europe. It was my dream to have breakfast on the terrace, but it was too cold so I gave up. Still, the breakfast at De Admiral was wonderful and delicious. Some parts of the Hotel showed their age, but the interior was lovely, and I appreciated how dedicated the staff were. I was also satisfied with the services such as the Shuttle Service from Nagasaki Airport, tickets, and access to an Onsen. I would like to stay at Hotel Europe again next time.

Premium Suite (Apr 2026)
Approx. JPY 150,000 for two adults on a weekday in April 2026 [Check-in] The highlight is check-in by cruise. The Hotel cruise was fully booked; unavoidable, but it felt cramped and the atmosphere suffered. There were two desks at the back, but we were handled at the regular reception. Luggage delivery by bell staff was available. [Room] A corner Room. It’s a bit of a walk from the elevator. Spacious enough. It had the Huis Ten Bosch / Hotel Europe vibe. Of course there’s some age and a slight musty smell, but it actually suited the place. No dust at all—cleaning was excellent. Our Room overlooked Domtoren and the State Guest House. The living room had windows on both sides, so there was a pleasant breeze. [Amenities] Bath amenities were good—lather wasn’t great, but they were L’Occitane so it still felt upscale. ReFa hair dryer and shower head. Bathrobes provided. Tea, TWG, UCC coffee, and water were free. No minibar and the fridge was empty—disappointing. There were TVs in both the living room and bedroom; we didn’t use them. Background music from inside the park played instead—I personally prefer wind, trees, and birdsong though. It’s different from Huis Ten Bosch 20 years ago, but that can’t be helped. [Furniture] The living room furniture is slightly dated, but it fits this Hotel perfectly—it made me feel like a “mini aristocrat.” Cleaning was so good that nothing felt itchy or dusty; I was impressed. The bed was excellent too. Pillows are personal preference, but ours felt a bit worn out. [Bathroom] Bathtub + separate shower room. Unlike many overseas hotels where water leaks out easily, this shower area is enclosed so I thought it wouldn’t leak… but drainage was terrible—almost no water went down at all. Since there was also a shower head over the bathtub we tried that instead… but temperature control was difficult… Showering while standing with your feet in bathwater… tough. [Service / Staff] Outstanding overall. There are always small things here and there, of course—but their genuine hospitality came through and made us happy to stay here again later as well! They responded quickly to requests from our Room too—thank you. Overall: I want to stay again—because it’s a Huis Ten Bosch Hotel. It has value because it’s inside Huis Ten Bosch. It’s technically a suite Room (and noticeably more expensive than other Rooms). I wanted something more special: separate reception for suites only? Free lounge access? A welcome drink in-Room? Hotel credit? etc.—something like that would have been nice (is luggage delivery by bell staff only for suites?). I understand labor- and cost-cutting measures—but suite guests would likely be willing to pay for those extras. And then there’s the bathroom—that’s the biggest drawback. Because everything else felt clean despite its age expectations went up. I know plumbing maintenance is difficult—but I hope you’ll check this thoroughly once if you want to build long-term fans! Thank you for an enjoyable trip!

Unforgettable Memories
This was my first trip to Huis Ten Bosch, and I’m truly glad I chose this Hotel. All the staff were kind and attentive, and I’m very grateful. The guest-only cruise was also fantastic! I really appreciated this perk. The day I stayed happened to be the final day of the Panorama Sky Fireworks, and guests of Hotel Europe were able to watch from a special area. I was moved by how powerful the fireworks were—thank you very much. The tulip fields were wonderful as well, and next time I’d like to visit in a different season. When I do, I’d love to stay at this Hotel again.

A truly unforgettable stay
It was an amazing trip—we fully enjoyed it with a cruise and a Day 2 pass, all from the best location in the park! The breakfast was luxurious and delicious, and they even provided baby food. The Huis Ten Bosch Onsen was also wonderfully relaxing—everything exceeded our expectations. We definitely want to come back!

Your First Visit to Huis Ten Bosch
This was our first stay in Huis Ten Bosch with my daughter’s family. Although the Hotel is a bit old, it has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were wonderful, making it a great memory. Breakfast was also plentiful and very satisfying. However, the shower drain in our Room seemed clogged, and water flowed into the bathtub area and flooded the floor, which made cleaning up after bathing difficult—this was a downside. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

We were welcomed at check-in by a lovely fragrance, beautiful tulip arrangements, and the gentle sound of piano music. Family Trip
We stayed as a family of four (including one 3-year-old child and my mother). We stayed in the Royal Suite, but the only “suite” feature was that the Room was connected and had two bedrooms; we did not feel we received any suite-level service. We expected standard suite perks such as welcome champagne, sweets, fruit, etc., but there was nothing, which was disappointing. We were staying for our birthdays as a couple, yet there was no special service at all. We did receive a gift when dining at the restaurant, but we believe something should be offered even for the stay itself. Please remember that guests come here to create the best memories for important milestones in their lives. We also felt that a Shuttle Service to the airport should be included with a suite. We couldn’t get on the Hotel bus and had a difficult time, which reduced our overall enjoyment of our stay. We hope you will address these issues one by one and aim to become the best Hotel in Huis Ten Bosch.

It was a wonderful stay that felt like traveling in Europe.
It was a space where we could savor the afterglow of Huis Ten Bosch. It was also wonderful that you can enjoy live music at the Anchors Lounge as soon as you enter the entrance. Next time, I’d definitely like to have afternoon tea. We chose the Room-assigned Plan, and since there was availability on the day, they prepared a Deluxe Twin for us; the interior was very beautiful. For breakfast, we had a Japanese meal at Kissuitei, and in a calm setting overlooking a beautiful Japanese garden, everything was so delicious that I ended up having seconds! All of the staff were efficient yet graceful, and they welcomed us warmly. I would love to stay again.

I’m sorry my satisfaction ended up being low, but The biggest downside was that the Room was far too hot. I considered calling the front desk, but after reading other Reviews, I didn’t expect it would be resolved quickly, so I gave up. It seems the issue is that the air-conditioning can’t be controlled in each Room, and on top of that, my Room’s windows couldn’t be opened either, so it felt like hell. The interior was really cute, which made it even more disappointing! Another downside was that there is no changing area by the bath. At check-in there was a very long line, and we were strictly told that only one person could line up. Since the tickets and various explanations took a long time, if you’re traveling with multiple people, having just one person receive all the explanations can feel tough when you’re already tired from traveling. It also seemed very hard on the front desk staff because their explanations became so long. I think opening part of the café space in front and offering welcome drinks and showing ticket information via video on an iPad or something similar could help reduce waiting time and ease the burden on staff. We received event tickets worth 5,000 yen for Kyushu food at Huis Ten Bosch, but it was still far over capacity and there were huge lines. Since our stay overlapped with a weekend, I think guests were concentrated—if it’s a weekend, maybe this service could be removed? Or perhaps make it drink tickets only. What was good: The staff were very polite and kind. Also, breakfast buffet had a great variety and tasted great. There were also many good services such as a one-day free pass for Huis Ten Bosch and theater troupe tickets.

The buffet was disappointing.
Reserved a Deluxe Twin (Twin) with a private terrace, including breakfast and dinner! We arrived a little before 3:00 PM and asked a staff member near the entrance. We were told to buy an admission pass valid from 3:00 PM and then take the 3:30 PM canal cruise for guests to Hotel Europe, so we ended up wasting quite a bit of time at the entrance. We also didn’t realize our luggage could be carried for us, so we carried it ourselves. We were told check-in would be on the boat, but after disembarking we went to the check-in counter and checked in there. The male staff member at that time wasn’t very pleasant, which was disappointing, but all of the female staff were very nice. The Hotel isn’t new, but it’s fairly spacious with a terrace-facing layout and has a nice atmosphere. There is only one sink, but the bathtub is large, there’s a chair in the washing area, and you can switch between a hand shower and a rain shower. The towels are thick and bright white. Dinner was buffet-style with everyone starting at once for 90 minutes. Children were running around, shouting loudly over plates of food they had collected, spitting as they yelled—it was chaos. It made me sad. Once the food cooled down, unpleasant oil came out and it felt nauseating. The sweets and fruit were the worst I’ve ever had at any buffet. For breakfast we chose Japanese cuisine, and it was quiet. They changed our free Day 1 pass to a Day 2 pass for us. After checking out, they carried our luggage to the exit, and we enjoyed the park for a while. Both days were sunny and warm, and we really enjoyed how beautiful the flowers were.

I stayed for two nights in a second-floor Room. Late at night, the footsteps from the floor above echoed very loudly and it really bothered me. At first I thought it was an issue with the guests upstairs on the first night, but even after the guests changed on the second night, I could still hear the same kind of noise, so I felt it might be due to the building’s structure. As a result, even after enjoying a full day in the park, I couldn’t recover properly and wasn’t able to rest well. All of the staff were polite and very pleasant. There were two breakfast buffet venues, and both were delicious and satisfying.

I finally got to visit Huis Ten Bosch, and I had always wanted to stay at Hotel Europe. The Room interior was exactly my style and very cute. One disappointing thing was that our Room had a first-floor terrace, but there was no partition between neighboring terraces, so it felt too exposed and uncomfortable. Other than that, the Hotel was wonderful, with flowers beautifully arranged throughout.
