    They upgraded me to ...

    They upgraded me to a Twin Room, which was spacious and great. The Room was quiet, so I slept well. I’d like to make this my regular Accommodation in Tokyo.

    Suitable for business trips

    I stayed for two nights on a business trip. It’s a small Hotel with a slightly retro atmosphere, and I was able to relax comfortably. The Room was compact, but everything I needed was arranged efficiently, so my stay was comfortable. The bathroom had a retro feel in the faucets, doorknobs, and tiles, while the showerhead and other fixtures were newer and easy to use. One minor concern was that the walls seemed thin at times, and I could hear noise from the neighboring Room. In particular, the sound of moving chairs echoed and stood out. Even so, overall it was cozy, and if I have another chance to stay around Tokyo Station in the future, I would like to stay here again.

    Just the Right Comfort

    This was our second 2-night, 3-day stay since New Year’s. We love the breakfast buffet in the second-floor banquet hall. There is a wide variety, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. Sometimes the omelets were brought to our table and sometimes not (understandable during busy times). The atmosphere is not cold or overly businesslike, and the staff—pleasantly attentive without being overly formal—made our stay very comfortable. Thank you again for everything.

    The location is excellent.

    Accommodation cost: Approx. JPY 34,000 per night Room type: Approx. 24 m² (equivalent to a Standard Room) Pros: The location is extremely convenient. It’s right next to a subway station, and you can walk to the heart of Ginza in no time. There are two convenience stores nearby, so shopping is easy. Taxis were easy to find, and ride-hailing apps (Uber) arrived quickly, which made getting around very smooth. Daily housekeeping was thorough, and the Room was clean and comfortable throughout my stay. At around 24 m², the Room felt spacious, and I didn’t feel cramped even with my suitcase open. Cons: The Hotel interior has a classic Western-style design that may not suit everyone’s taste. I’m personally not a fan of traditional décor, so opinions may vary depending on preference. At approx. JPY 34,000 per night, the price is on the higher side. If you value cost performance, it’s worth comparing Plans. Overall rating: 4/5 Reason: The location, cleanliness, and convenience are excellent—very practical for short stays for business or sightseeing. If you’re comfortable with the interior style and price point, satisfaction will be high.

    An annual girls’ trip

    We plan a girls’ trip to Tokyo every June, and this year we chose Ginza (Yurakucho). We made a Reservation here because we were able to stay at a great price during a limited-time sale. The location, atmosphere, and breakfast all made for a very satisfying stay. The breakfast seemed designed with international guests in mind and offered great variety—sukiyaki, seafood rice bowls, many kinds of bread, plus plenty of desserts and fruit. We ended up staying longer than planned because we enjoyed it so much, but we were never rushed and could relax and chat at our own pace—thank you very much. The front desk staff were also professional and helpful; we caused some extra work for you in various ways, but we truly appreciated your support. At check-in, you can choose amenities, which was fun—there were options like face masks, foot patches, and skincare sets. If I have the chance again, I would definitely like to stay here. Thank you for such a relaxing time.

    Breakfast buffet

    It was hot, so I tried to take a taxi from Tokyo Station. However, there was a long line at the taxi stand. It’s within walking distance and easy to access even with a suitcase. The Room was a twin used as single occupancy, spacious and comfortable. At the breakfast buffet, the chef-made omelets were great, and the omelet with cheese shaved from a huge block of Parmigiano was a fun presentation and looked impressive. There wasn’t 100% orange juice—has it become expensive these days...? Overall, I thought the breakfast buffet was excellent.

    I think it’s disappointing that the Hotel doesn’t provide newspapers. There was a convenience store nearby, though.

    A Highly Satisfying Hidden Accommodation in Ginza

    This time I changed the dates and stayed for two nights. On the first night, I stayed with a friend in a Deluxe Twin Room on the top floor, a corner Room. The atmosphere reminded me of a small Hotel in Paris, and I was very satisfied. On the second night, my Room was upgraded, so I could relax and take my time. The breakfast was delicious as well—also very satisfying. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

    This was my first time staying here (I have stayed at La Seur Ginza several times). The front desk staff member was a foreigner, but their Japanese was excellent and the service was polite, so there were no issues at all. I’m quite particular about cleanliness, but the Room was clean and well maintained, with no problems. The amenities such as the hair dryer and shower head were new, which matched nicely with the retro atmosphere of the Room. Don’t expect much in terms of the view from the Room, but the location is excellent. They also handled a late-night checkout and parking exit smoothly, so my overall satisfaction was very high.

    Perfect for solo female travelers!

    I arrived a little early, but the Room was ready, so I was able to check in right away and relax until dinner time. It was also nice that I could freely choose amenities such as sheet masks at check-in. The property feels a bit dated, but it’s good value for the price. I’d like to stay again.

    A Hotel with Excellent Service

    The staff provide excellent service with no inconsistency between individuals, offering pleasant and courteous assistance both by phone and in person. The staff at the on-site outsourced parking facility are also very helpful, making this a Hotel where you never feel uncomfortable. I stay at Hotels in many places frequently, and this is a Hotel with exceptionally good staff service in a way that is rare—in a positive sense. Even luxury Hotels struggle with staffing shortages these days, so I strongly felt this is something others should learn from.

    It was good overall.

    I stayed here on a business trip because the Ginza location is convenient and it offers great value compared with nearby hotels. I had heard it was an older Hotel, so as someone who cares a lot about cleanliness I was quite worried, but aside from finding a long strand of hair wrapped around the hair dryer cord, I had no major issues and no other complaints. There were many thoughtful little services that really made a difference. I would stay again.

    The worst Room I have ever stayed in.

    This was the worst Room I have ever been given at a Hotel in Japan. The floor was covered with dust and trash, and the bathtub still had hair in it. After finishing work and returning late at night, I wanted to rest quickly, but I ended up having to clean the bathroom first. I also have chronic rhinitis, and the dust was severe, so I quietly rested in bed. At checkout, I reported the situation with photos on my phone, and they said, “This is really terrible—sorry.” I had been looking forward to a relaxing stay in Ginza, but it was an unpleasant experience.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    It was about a 3-minute walk from the station, which was especially appreciated since it was raining. There was a Natural Lawson right in front, and two other convenience stores nearby, which was very convenient. The elevator had a charming, classic feel, and the overall atmosphere was chic. Some parts felt a bit old, and I only noticed a little grime in the bathroom, but the bathtub was large and the amenities were well stocked, which I really appreciated. There was one bottle of water per person, plus skincare items—face masks, eye masks, even relaxation sheets!! The ReFa hair dryer was lightweight yet powerful and easy to use. I found myself wanting one for home!!

    The room was quiet, and I slept well.

    Since the Hotel is located in Ginza, I was worried about nighttime noise, but although I could hear a little traffic, the air conditioner and refrigerator in the room ran quietly and did not disturb my sleep. While it is not a new Hotel, I think it is solid in all the basics. The location is convenient, so I always stay here.

    A Classic Boutique Hotel with a Parisian Feel in Ginza

    The elevator indicator is the type where the arrow clicks along to the right. It made me wonder what era the elevator is from—I felt like I’d time-traveled, and it was exciting. The Hotel isn’t flashy, but it’s classic and very comfortable. The bathroom and other water facilities have been newly renovated, so they’re easy to use. With high ceilings and large windows, I think it has a far better atmosphere than Business Hotels around the Ginza area.

    A lovely classic Hotel

    This was our first time staying here with family and relatives. The location is great, and it’s a classic Hotel with excellent convenience. We also enjoyed the historic charm, such as the elevator, and had a comfortable stay. We chose a Plan with breakfast, and the breakfast was very delicious—we were very satisfied. I especially remember being happy that there were both crispy bacon and thick-cut bacon. We’d like to stay again in the future—thank you!

    Even though it is lo...

    Even though it is located in Ginza, it was quiet and relaxing. The Facility seems a bit old, but it was easy to use, and I was happy there was a coffee maker. There is also a courier service office right in front, and Higashi-Ginza Station is within walking distance, so the access is convenient. Thank you for your hospitality.

    A Long-Awaited Visit to Ginza

    I had a wonderful time in Ginza with my daughter after a long while, and our stay was very comfortable. We had a Multiple Night Stay for two nights, slept soundly at night, and made great memories. This is not a complaint about the Hotel, but on the morning of our first night’s stay, we reserved a taxi at 8:30 AM from the Hotel to Tokyo Station. The fare was 1,200 yen. We used taxis several times from the station to the Hotel before, and it was always 600 yen. Although the taxi meter showed 1,000 yen this time, we were charged 1,200 yen instead. I wondered if this might be slightly overpriced? As for the Hotel itself, I am very satisfied with my experience there. Living in Himeji myself, I occasionally use Monterey Himeji as well!

    A small Parisian Hotel located on a backstreet in Ginza

    I have stayed here several times, and it always reminds me of a charming little Parisian Hotel. The attention to detail in both the exterior and interior design is impressive. Even the elevator is adorable. It’s a lovely Hotel with a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

    I would like to use it again when I visit Tokyo.

    I have stayed at several Hotel Monterey locations, but Ginza Monterey was a very quiet and relaxing hotel despite its convenient location. The breakfast was also enjoyable in a calm atmosphere. I would definitely like to stay again.

    About the Beds

    The location was great, and the amenities were good, but the bed creaked every time I moved during the night. There was a coffee maker, but it would have been nice to also have regular paper coffee packs available.

    It was a lovely classic Hotel. I stayed for two nights this time, but I was disappointed to find an unwashed glass left on the table and hair stuck on the bathroom wall when I returned to the Hotel after work on the second day. However, it was a wonderful Hotel, and I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    The refrigerator is at room temperature.

    I stayed with my sister on a hot day in late August. The location was convenient, and I felt reassured as I had previously stayed at the Monterey in Hanzomon. However, the refrigerator in the room we were shown to was not cooling at all. When I called the front desk to have it checked, a foreign staff member came. They inspected the refrigerator and power outlet and said, "All our refrigerators are like this. If you have something you want to keep cool, we can store it in the front desk's refrigerator." Hearing this made me certain that they knew from the start that it was broken. Later, when I received another call from the front desk about a different matter, I mentioned that the refrigerator was broken and asked for some ice; they brought it immediately. I also found similar posts on Rakuten reviews and couldn't help but think, "Me too!" so I left my own review as well.

    It was a wonderful and relaxing Hotel.

    Due to my son's surgery at a nearby hospital, we made a last-minute reservation and stayed at this accommodation. The exterior and interior had a European classical style, and though it was compact, it was a very comfortable hotel. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and they facilitated an early check-in smoothly. Thanks to this, my son who underwent surgery could rest well until the next day and checked out feeling refreshed. Despite being in Ginza, it was a wonderful hotel where we could relax without any pretense. Thank you very much. We will use your accommodation again.

    A relaxing Hotel.

    I have stayed here multiple times, and despite being close to Ginza, it is a very quiet and relaxing Hotel that I love. This time, I opted for a breakfast-included plan for the first time, and the refined flavors were delicious. It was a great way to start the day feeling full from breakfast. The female staff at the front desk handed out cold towels to guests in the lobby, which was very thoughtful and pleasant. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you very much!
