    After all, Ginsuiso

    We have been staying at Inatori Ginsuiso for many years. Not only are the cuisine, Onsen, and Facility outstanding, but the staff in every area always serve us with sincerity, so we can stay with peace of mind. It is an Accommodation that makes us want to return again and again. 　 This time, for the first time, we stayed in a premium suite Room with an open-air bath. The spaciousness of the Room, the layout that still provides privacy even when used by two generations, and above all, soaking in the open-air bath facing the sea while enjoying the breathtaking view was truly wonderful. With the all-inclusive plan, an astonishing variety of Shizuoka specialty drinks was prepared in the refrigerator. Not only that—when we called to request drinks or snacks from the lounge, they were delivered to our Room. We were deeply impressed by such attentive service. There are also plenty of thoughtful touches and services for children as well as adults. Feeding koi fish in the lobby was spectacular; there was an indoor stamp rally; not only a Hotel pool but also seaside play at a natural tidal pool; a large public bath with a scenic open-air bath; classic Onsen table tennis; and delicious drinks along with sweets and fruit in a lounge with stunning views. Wherever we were, we felt supported by everyone’s smiles and courteous service, allowing us to relax comfortably throughout our stay. Both dinner and the breakfast buffet were high quality and delicious. We enjoyed both kaiseki cuisine and buffet-style dining. During kaiseki dinner, each dish was carefully explained to us, making it extremely satisfying for food lovers like us. We also received a surprise gift for our anniversary—we were truly touched. There is still so much more I could write about how wonderful Ginsuiso is: at checkout our whole family said we would definitely come back again—this is that kind of Accommodation. Until now we had stayed in standard Rooms, but every Room has an ocean view with spectacular scenery. The service is essentially just as excellent either way; however after this stay we strongly feel that special Rooms are also highly recommended. The only downside this time was that there were periods when the water in the open-air bath was too hot to enter; otherwise it has usually been well managed and very comfortable.     A devoted fan for four generations

    We have been staying at Inatori Ginsuiso for four generations, ever since my late mother. It is truly a wonderful Accommodation with exceptional charm. Above all, the hospitality of the staff is outstanding. From the time of our Reservation, they carefully accommodated my grandchild’s food allergies, the number of guests in our Room, dining table arrangements, and anniversary requests, which allowed us to visit with complete peace of mind. After arriving, we received a thorough explanation at the front desk and fully enjoyed the lounge, children’s stamp activities, and the pool and Onsen facilities. My grandchild especially loves feeding the many koi swimming energetically in the clear stream in the lobby, as well as enjoying delicious snacks and drinks in the scenic-view lounge. Since what’s offered changes by time slot, it always feels exciting. With long-standing services unchanged and new ones added over time, you can really feel Ginsuiso’s continuous efforts. As it was a family anniversary trip, we stayed for the first time in a premium suite Room with an open-air bath. The Room was beautifully prepared to perfection. With ample space and a thoughtfully designed layout, three generations were able to spend time together comfortably and happily without stress. They even delivered lounge snacks and drinks to our Room—such attentive service truly moved us. Soaking in the open-air bath while gazing at the moonlit sea view was an unforgettable luxury. At dinner, they connected tables so that all eight family members could sit together. We were able to celebrate milestones—70th birthday celebrations (Koki), a promotion, and Shichi-Go-San—with delicious cuisine and joyful conversation. When my grandchild spilled water, staff quickly wiped up the floor and brought a replacement yukata. Their warm consideration went far beyond simply serving food—we were impressed again. In addition, because it was an anniversary stay, Ginsuiso gave each of us a gift; we were filled with surprise and gratitude. After dinner came fireworks launched right in front of us on Level 6 along with a dessert buffet. From 10:00 p.m., there was night-time service with upgraded alcoholic beverages—truly impeccable hospitality from start to finish. The next morning we enjoyed an outstanding breakfast buffet with both incredible variety and flavor—we were completely satisfied. After that we continued to make full use of everything: our Room’s open-air bath, the pool(s), large public bath(s), and seaside pool(s), then checked out at 1:00 p.m. The moment we checked out we started thinking about when we could come back again. My grandchild was so sad about checking out that they cried... We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much to all of your staff.

    It was great.

    It’s a great place. We really enjoyed the delicious meals. The staff were friendly, and although the building is old, it was well maintained and very clean. However, the slippers for walking around inside might be due for replacement soon—I didn’t use them, though. I’d like to stay here again.

    Family Trip

    I had wanted to stay here for a long time. The Facility was large and luxurious, just as I had imagined, but the Executive Suite felt older than expected. It was also disappointing that it has only one toilet, while the Luxury Suite has two. We chose the tempura course, but the portions were truly small. The breakfast buffet also had fewer options than any other Accommodation I’ve stayed at in Izu. We stayed in the Kurenai Room, and the in-room bath facilities—everything—were outstanding and truly wonderful.

    Due to the typhoon

    It ended up being different from the original Plan, but… I felt a bit uneasy after reading past Reviews, but it was totally fine—actually, really good. We fully enjoyed the lounge! The beer, fruit, and snacks were all great. The kids were amazed by the non-alcoholic cocktails. Dinner: The Reservation guidance was a little hard to understand in places and it almost dampened my mood, but the food & beverage manager handled it wonderfully, so I finished dinner without losing my spirits. Breakfast: I’d say it’s very good. The variety of combinations is especially impressive—it really makes you wonder how many ways there are to mix and match that make you want more rice. And the final touch was the live onigiri station! No way I’m losing weight after that… I only thought it would be nice if there were a swimsuit spin dryer along the route near the bath as well; otherwise, no inconveniences at all. The Room was so spacious we even had rooms we didn’t end up using. If we come back here, I think we’ll stay here again!

    Three of us: my mother, my child, and me.

    My mother in her late 60s, I (late 40s), and my 4-year-old son stayed for one night. We arrived at the Accommodation at 1:00 pm. My mother was able to rest in the spacious, traditional lobby with koi, while my son and I changed in the large public bath changing room and headed to the outdoor pool and nearby Iso IKEJIRI. It was close enough to walk even in the heat, we received free tickets at reception, and we enjoyed it to the fullest. My mother checked in at 2:00 pm and made the most of her time—using the lounge and enjoying the large public bath. After returning to the Hotel, my son and I went to the lounge together and had fruit and tea. The view was wonderful—not only from our Room, but also from the lounge. Dinner from 5:30 pm included a sashimi boat platter (the best sashimi I’ve ever had), and even the golden eye snapper was tender—everything was incredibly delicious. On top of that, rice, miso soup, ice cream, alcohol, and more were all refillable. The children’s meal was also excellent—hamburg steak, sashimi, and more—truly a fantastic dinner. Afterward, there was a dessert buffet at the back of the lounge, which we also enjoyed with plenty of variety. On 7/20 there were fireworks launched right in front of the Hotel. We turned off our Room lights and watched together for about 10 minutes in cool comfort—it became a truly unforgettable moment for my son as well. (My mother chose to watch from the lounge instead, and she said it looked wonderful from there too.) The next morning’s buffet was equally satisfying—we sat where we could see the ocean and enjoyed many different dishes. Even after checkout we were able to play at both pool areas as well as Iso IKEJIRI—and we could still use the large public bath changing room. There was an old twin-tub washing machine available so we could wash our swimsuits; we washed them that evening and were able to wear them again on another day. Until now I haven’t often stayed at Accommodations that seem popular with families with children; this time I made a Reservation hoping my child would have fun. In reality both my mother and I were extremely satisfied too—the delicious meals, perfectly relaxing Onsen baths (hot springs), fireworks… everything felt so good it made us question whether this price could be real (the meals alone would have been worth it). Above all else, every staff member provided exceptionally pleasant service. From younger staff to seasoned professionals alike—even small conversations or questions were handled warmly each time. That truly impressed me. Thank you very much—we felt refreshed. We will definitely come again next year as well; I’d love to make this an annual event with my son. Thank you again.

    The Accommodation wa...

    The Accommodation was very clean, the meals were delicious, and we were able to relax and enjoy the lounge. Breakfast offered such a generous variety that it was hard to choose, and everything was excellent. The staff were also very kind. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Overall, the age of ...

    Overall, the age of the Facility was quite noticeable. The moment I entered the lobby, there was a distinctive smell that felt a bit unpleasant. The game area and the space for table tennis also had old equipment and seemed quite worn. I think it would be better to introduce newer equipment or renovate. The Facility on the 6th floor was relatively new and clean. Breakfast also had limited variety and felt a bit lacking. Overall, it did not meet my expectations, so unfortunately I do not plan to stay again next time.

    Thank you for the wonderful hospitality from the moment we arrived, at dinner, and from everyone at the shop. At departure as well, I ended up talking for a long time at the front desk and may have caused inconvenience, but I truly appreciate your recommendation to visit again and enjoy a Multiple Night Stay. It is an Accommodation I would like to revisit in the near future. A few minor disappointments: There were no bath towels in the large public bath. Also, it would be nice if there were a drink bar in the changing room. Please stock mineral water in the Room refrigerator.

    There is an odor in the building and in the Room.

    The guest room floor was filled with a distinctive scent, like an air freshener, and the Room had a strong odor—like cigarette residue or mold—as if it had previously been a smoking room, so I couldn’t relax. If you are sensitive to smells, I cannot recommend staying here.

    It was a family gathering to celebrate my father’s 77th birthday.

    Because our group was large, we spoke with the staff several times during the Reservation process. They were able to add a sashimi platter to our meal, prepare a private banquet room, and even provide my father with a small gift and lend him a purple celebratory vest. I was truly impressed by the smooth, polished hospitality. In particular, the food was served expertly so that every dish stayed delicious until we ate it. The breakfast buffet had more items than we could possibly try, and the seating area was spacious—an enjoyable and satisfying start to the day. The baths were very clean, and both the open-air bath and indoor bath were comfortable with perfectly warm water. The sauna runs on the hotter side—ideal for sauna lovers. There is also a lounge for guests with unlimited food and drinks available 24 hours a day, which kept us excited throughout our stay. My father—the guest of honor—was delighted as well and seemed like he was in a dream the whole time. It had been some time since our last visit, but everything was just as wonderful as before. We were extremely satisfied with this outstanding hospitality.

    It became a truly wonderful memory.

    I stayed for one night with my 86-year-old mother, who has difficulty walking. When we arrived by car, staff were already there to greet us and promptly guided us and carried our luggage to the Room. The lobby had a beautiful patterned carpet and high ceilings, decorative Hina dolls, lovely fresh flowers in the corridors, and many koi swimming—full of the elegance you’d expect from a long-established Accommodation. It really lifted our spirits! We chose “Kihada” on the 6th floor, which has an open-air bath and beds. Since it’s on the same floor as the lounge and dining area, moving around by wheelchair was smooth. The building is barrier-free throughout, which made caregiving much easier. The cleaning was thorough, the Room was spotless, and we were able to relax comfortably—so glad we chose this place. Dinner was at assigned seating, but we had a window-side table with an ocean view. The scenery was wonderful and my mother was truly moved. I felt so happy to be able to show her that view. Out of all the tables available, I really appreciated being given a window seat. And every meal—breakfast, dinner, and in the lounge—was delicious. Most of all, my mother was very happy, so I’m glad we were able to make this trip a memorable one.     Overall, I think it’s good.

    In-room dining, the breakfast buffet, the staff’s attentiveness, and the Facility were all excellent. However, as this is a high-end Ryokan in terms of price, I believe it would be even better if the following points were improved: 1. We stayed in an executive-type Room with a private open-air bath, but there was limescale on the faucet at the toilet hand-washing sink. Also, a notice about toilet use was attached with a transparent sticker that was peeling off, giving the impression it had not been maintained. Rather than taping notices on, using built-in signage would help maintain a more luxurious feel. 2. Overall plant care is very good, but maintenance of parts of the building visible to guests seems insufficient. Seeing dark stains on walls, rust, or peeling paint detracts from the otherwise high-end impression of the Ryokan. 3. Although we had in-room dining, after being told that someone would come to collect the dishes once we finished eating, our entrance door was left open for two hours. 4. The Room’s open-air bath had a wonderful ocean view; however, I feel its maintenance could be improved as well. I understand Onsen minerals can cause buildup, but more attention to detail—such as cleaning dirt on handrails and haze on windows—would make a difference.

    We’ll be back.

    This was my second stay. Last time I stayed in Kihada, and this time in Komurasaki. I usually change Hotels every night, but this time I stayed for 2 nights, so I was able to relax. With two Rooms, it was comfortable because my mother and I—who go to bed at different times—could each spend our time freely. The open-air bath in the Room was also spacious, and I used it many times. However, I would have liked a small mirror for doing makeup in the Room. I was surprised by the noise from air conditioner construction on the floor above on the second day of my Multiple Night Stay, but it was handled promptly. If possible, I would like the work to be finished while we are out of the Room during cleaning hours. The lounge that wasn’t there before was great because we could have drinks anytime. However, since we don’t drink alcohol, it felt a bit lacking… there were too few snacks. The selection is far too limited… Since everything is the same and there’s no special feeling, I’d like to see differences in benefits depending on the Accommodation level (such as Suite Rooms and above). The drink delivery hours to the Room are too short… I’d like a bit more differentiation. The evening desserts in the lounge were also just so-so... As for meals, even with a Multiple Night Stay the menus were different each day and we were very satisfied! The breakfast buffet is delicious as well. Lunch is an issue with a Multiple Night Stay… lunch at the lounge was really not good… If you have a car, I recommend going out to eat. There’s no room service for lunch either, so it’s difficult. The ocean is right in front of you; hearing the sound of waves helped me relax. I’ll come again. I hope both the lounge offerings and lunch will improve by then. Thank you very much!

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Although it was a Plan without dinner, there were places to eat nearby, so it was not a problem. Listening to the sound of the waves, I truly relaxed. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    I was satisfied.

    Thank you for taking care of us. This time, five friends from our student days chose Ginsuiso for our trip. At check-in, it seemed there was a mix-up with our Room and we were given the key to a different Room, which got our hopes up for nothing. However, when we actually entered our Room, it was spacious and very nice. The bath was also large, and even when many guests were using it, there was no problem—we were able to soak and relax. Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Everyone was satisfied. Thank you for taking photos of us in various places while we waited for the bus. It is an Accommodation that makes us want to visit again.

    It was the worst—especially the food. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Also, the male staff member at the front desk had extremely long nails. Is that really acceptable for customer service? I guess that says what kind of Accommodation it is. Well, I’ll never go again so it doesn’t matter to me, but I absolutely cannot recommend this Accommodation.

    Stay on the Pacific Coast

    Living on the Sea of Japan side, I truly enjoyed authentic dishes featuring tuna, abalone, spiny lobster, and splendid alfonsino. The Room was spacious and very clean. The Shizuoka beer in the refrigerator was also delicious. The free-flowing Onsen was outstanding.

    It was very good.

    We stayed for one night from March 27. As we were traveling with an elderly family member, we chose a Room with an open-air bath. The weather was great, and the ocean view from the Room was beautiful—absolutely wonderful. The meal portions were just right for us, and the seasoning of the splendid alfonsino was truly delicious. The lounge cocktails were also beautiful and tasty, and the desserts were excellent as well. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:00, so we thought it would have been even more relaxing if it were available until around 10:00 (it was delicious), but all of the staff were kind, and we had a very comfortable two days—our elderly family member was happy too. This time we chose Inatori Onsen because we wanted to see the hanging hina dolls, and it was truly lovely. I live in Kawasaki City, and I saw an Izu promotion event at a JR station where I received several brochures that featured the hanging hina dolls. We were just deciding on a spring break destination, so that became the deciding factor. Please also pass along our thanks to everyone at JR (even though we ended up driving). Thank you very much for these two days.

    The meals and lounge service were excellent!

    It felt like an all-inclusive Accommodation. I stayed with a friend, and we were very satisfied. I’d like to come again with my family next time. The pond on the front desk floor was also lovely. The ocean was right in front of us, and the view from the Room was excellent. I’d be happier if it were a little cheaper, but considering the meals and the lounge, I think it offers great value for money. There are many luxury Accommodations that aren’t good value, so I was truly impressed!

    It was a wonderful s...

    It was a wonderful stay. We stayed here for my partner’s birthday trip. Dinner featured one dish after another—spiny lobster, abalone sashimi, splendid alfonsino, and more—and the timing of each course was perfect, so there was no waiting. After the meal, we even received a gift to celebrate his birthday. The Room was spacious, and the open-air bath had the perfect temperature; it was also great that we could open the windows. The refrigerator was stocked with a variety of drinks, and the lounge offered plenty of all-you-can-eat desserts and all-you-can-drink beverages, which we enjoyed throughout our stay. I’m glad we could celebrate his birthday at this Accommodation, and he was very happy too. This is an Accommodation I truly want to return to! Thank you very much!

    Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. Each dish showed meticulous attention to detail, and it was truly satisfying—enjoyable not only in taste but also to the eye. The staff’s hospitality was even more heartfelt than we had imagined, and it made us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The location and the Onsen were also excellent, allowing us to relax and forget about everyday life. The lounge services were well provided, and we were impressed by how comfortable every moment felt. It was a special experience that made us want to return. We sincerely appreciate everything.

    Very satisfied with the service.

    The lounge services are thoughtfully available 24 hours a day, making them very easy to use and considerate. I used them many times—welcome drinks, the after-meal dessert buffet, evening bar time, and even while waiting my turn in the morning—and it was fun that what was offered varied slightly each time. I visited during pollen season, and when I asked the dining reception staff about tissues, they discreetly placed a box of tissues at my seat. They also explained the dinner items carefully. The reception staff, those who helped carry luggage, and the shop staff were all consistently calm, refined, and pleasant in their service. It made for a very comfortable stay. Some Facilities remain outdated, and the round-trip drive takes time, but it is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Family trip

    I have stayed at Ginsuiso many times. This was my first visit in five years, and I really liked that the drink service and sweets in the 6th-floor lounge changed depending on the time of day. There were also alcoholic options, with a wide variety including draft beer, cocktails, and more. Overall, there seemed to be fewer staff than before, but it didn’t cause any problems, and it felt like things were well thought out. I would like to visit again.

    A Highly Rated Onsen Ryokan

    I really enjoyed everything and was very satisfied: the Room with an ocean view, the wonderful new kaiseki dinner in the dining area, and the lounge service offered throughout the day. The Room is traditional in style, but it was well maintained and very clean. The baths were great, including an open-air bath; however, perhaps for privacy reasons, the ocean view from there was limited. The staff were also kind and attentive. I was delighted to have plenty of fruit, sweets, alcohol, beer, and cocktails. I would love to stay again.

    When we arrived by car, the staff kindly guided us from the drop-off area as we unloaded our luggage all the way to parking. We stayed in a Room on the 9th floor, and everything was amazing—the beautiful Room, the wonderful view, and the warm hospitality of the staff. We were also able to relax without worrying about time, enjoying the open-air bath in our guest Room and having dinner served in our Room. Even after check-out, the staff saw us off until we departed by car, which made us feel truly special. This is a Hotel we would love to stay at again.

    The Facility is first-class, but the service is second-rate.

    We stayed here to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday. We also visited for his 77th, and we truly appreciate the Ryokan’s warm hospitality. While the building has a sense of history, the interior has been renovated and is barrier-free, and it seems they are actively working toward SDGs initiatives. The large public bath is clean and spacious, and the open-air bath with an ocean view feels wonderfully open. On the 6th floor there is a lounge open 24 hours, so it can be used early in the morning or late at night. Light snacks are also provided for guests on a Multiple Night Stay, which shows thoughtful attention from management. This time we had a Multiple Night Stay in a Room on the 10th floor, and even the approach from the elevator to the Room is carefully designed—something international guests would likely enjoy. The in-room bath area is spacious (both bathroom and tub), making it feel like a special luxury. The ocean-facing windows can be opened fully, so you can listen to the waves and feel the sea breeze while enjoying a blissful moment. Amenities are fairly standard, but having complimentary items in the refrigerator felt like a nice bonus. Breakfast was served buffet-style this time; being able to eat what you want without worrying about time felt more reasonable compared with in-room dining. The selection isn’t huge, but everything was fresh and delicious. They grill dried horse mackerel on request and make rice balls on the spot—nice touches. Dinner was served in-room, featuring mainly local specialties with creative presentation; for older guests especially, both portion size and taste were excellent. However, we noticed small lapses such as one person’s appetizer dishes being placed differently or some chipped tableware—details that suggest final checks could be improved. Also, although dishes were served at a good pace, clearing used plates didn’t keep up; as a result, the table remained cluttered throughout. Seeing hot pot from earlier still on the table alongside dessert was particularly disappointing. The staff member assisting us was friendly and pleasant, but we didn’t strongly feel an underlying sense of hospitality at its core. The facilities are outstanding overall; however, does guest-focused attentiveness tend to fade as a Ryokan becomes larger? Given how excellent both location and Facility are, we hope to see further improvements in service quality.

    Relax in the Lounge

    I stayed for two nights and was able to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Thanks to the lounge on the 6th floor, I could spend leisurely time enjoying the view without feeling bored. I would love to stay again.

    I had high expectations.

    The cleanliness of the Room was not satisfactory (stains on the toilet seat, the entire Room felt dusty), allergy-triggering ingredients were mistakenly served at dinner without an apology, and there were no skincare amenities in the Room. Additionally, it was disappointing that the view of the sea was obstructed by plants near the open-air bath. However, breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious.

    A luxurious Hotel perfect for a well-deserved year-end treat.

    The staff, the Hotel, the Room, the Onsen, the food, and the view were all excellent. As this was a year-end trip to reward ourselves for a year of hard work, it was on the pricier side but absolutely worth choosing this place. There were koi fish in the lobby that children could feed, which made them very happy. With a private open-air bath in our Room, even our 0-year-old baby could enjoy their first Onsen experience, leaving our whole family completely satisfied. Since it was all-inclusive, we could enjoy free drinks and snacks at the lounge. The lounge also offered a view of the ocean for ultimate relaxation. Breakfast was served buffet-style and everything tasted delicious. We were touched by their provision of baby cribs as well! Dinner was served in-room with different menus every night; each meal was delightful. The staff provided attentive service throughout our stay. We would love to stay here again if we have another opportunity!
