    It turned into a wonderful anniversary.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary this year, with the goal of enjoying the world’s best breakfast. Since it was a special occasion, they upgraded our Room—thank you so much. With a large bed and a jacuzzi bath, we were able to relax in great comfort. And then, morning came—the world’s best breakfast, the main purpose of this trip! We enjoyed freshly baked bread with strawberry confiture, chestnut honey, and kinako dip… absolutely delicious. Fresh orange juice and “drinkable salad”! Each glass of the drinkable salad contained several different ingredients, including some I had never seen before. Everything was refreshing and tasty. The eggs, prosciutto, yogurt—everything else was also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal. It truly became a memorable anniversary. Thank you very much.

    We enjoyed reliable service and delicious meals.

    I stayed on a weekday, and the restaurant for dinner was almost fully booked, which showed how popular it is. Perhaps because of that, the food took a little longer to be served. However, the taste and service were excellent, so it won’t be an issue if you’re happy to enjoy a relaxed meal. Since I had informed them in advance that I was pregnant, I really appreciated that they made sure the meat and fish were thoroughly cooked and smoothly suggested ingredient substitutions. Although it rained unfortunately, the staff proactively offered to take commemorative photos in the lobby and lend us umbrellas, which made for a very enjoyable stay. Thank you very much.

    We stayed to celebra...

    We stayed to celebrate my husband’s retirement. There was a message card in the Room, and we were happy to feel the thoughtful gesture. We were very satisfied with both the service and the meals. One inconvenience was that the parking ticket machine at the parking entrance was hard to find. The car ahead of us also didn’t notice it and drove up to the barrier, then had trouble because it wouldn’t open. When we tried to enter, no ticket came out even after pressing the button, so we used the intercom for assistance. The parking area also seemed to be used as a loading zone, with delivery vehicles and luggage placed around, which felt cluttered. In addition, items were placed right up to the edge of some parking spaces, making it very difficult to park. We had a very good impression of the staff, Room, and meals overall, so that one point was disappointing.

    There were a few minor issues, but they were handled properly. It’s a bit far from the station, so if walking is difficult for you, I recommend taking a taxi. Breakfast includes plenty of bread and is very filling. The dashi served in a cup was especially delicious.

    Impressive.

    From check-in to check-out, the service was truly attentive. We felt completely comfortable and were able to relax and take our time. Dinner was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. We stayed to celebrate my wife’s birthday as well, and she was very satisfied. Breakfast—of course—was the best in the world, and it was truly delicious too.

    Reviews of the World’s Best Breakfast

    I was expecting an outstanding European-style breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing for three reasons: there was no cheese at all; the dashi-based dish felt out of place as it is Japanese cuisine; and the fruit selection was far too limited. The Hotel’s Facility and amenities were clean and well maintained.

    Blissful Moments

    I was so happy that my long-held wish to stay here—and enjoy breakfast—finally came true. On top of that, we were upgraded as a special perk and got to stay in a classic Room, and both I and my friends of 50 years were extremely satisfied! The bath was spacious, with bubbling water as well. Breakfast was also wonderful: unique ingredients, bread, carefully crafted juices, healthy options, and an original tray presentation. The staff made it feel like an extraordinary world—absolutely satisfying!

    The Hotel’s service, facilities, and meals were all excellent. However, it seems that the breakfast souvenir is not available with an IKYU Reservation, so please keep that in mind.

    From the moment you see its exterior and step inside, this Hotel offers an extraordinary experience. The Room's interior and bedding blend modern updates with a classic atmosphere seamlessly. The meals were thoughtfully selected, and the welcome sweets felt truly special. Although it was just a one-night stay, the hospitality of the staff and the overall ambiance of the Hotel embodied true hospitality. Thank you very much.

    Thanks to my reservation through IKYU and my membership level, I received a complimentary room upgrade, hotel-original sweets, and fresh fruit juice. The room was, of course, wonderful, and the "World's Best Breakfast" I enjoyed at Kobe Kitano Terrace with a panoramic view of Kobe city was perfect in every aspect—view, content, taste, and serving temperature! The service from the staff was also impeccable with just the right balance of attentiveness. I didn’t know much about Kobe before this trip but have truly fallen in love with this city.

    Hotel with dishonest staff

    The experience from luggage storage to check-in, breakfast at Kitano Terrace, and check-out was wonderful. A classical and atmospheric Hotel like this is rare. The breakfast, while perhaps not the best in the world, was exceptional and unique. The hospitality of the Hotel staff was excellent—except for one individual. However, there was an issue when retrieving my luggage before returning to Tokyo. The paper bag itself and the packaging of sweets inside were torn. This occurred because a Hotel staff member dropped my luggage during handling. What’s more disappointing is that this staff member did not inform me about dropping it until I pointed it out myself. It is extremely regrettable that there was such an insincere and dishonest Hotel staff member who tried to hide their mistake. After returning home and checking the contents, I found that the Michelbach cookies I had waited in line for a long time to purchase were in a disastrous state. The cookies inside had shifted around, with powdered sugar scattered everywhere. I had planned to give some as gifts to friends, but they are no longer presentable. While mistakes can happen, hiding them instead of being honest about them is unacceptable. Thanks to this insincere behavior by one Hotel staff member trying to cover up their mistake, my stay at the Hotel turned into an unpleasant experience.

    The phone service was disappointing, but the breakfast and Room were lovely.

    The breakfast, known as the best in the world, was indeed delicious, and the room was clean. It was also very helpful that they stored our luggage after checkout while we explored the area. However, I felt that the service at reception had declined compared to before, possibly due to increased popularity. Since we could only book 2 rooms for 2 people each, I had called in advance to request a single receipt for all 4 people with the total amount. I was told over the phone that it would be fine if I mentioned it at checkout. However, when I did so during payment, they told me to issue a receipt through the travel reservation site instead. In the end, they couldn’t provide a single receipt with the total amount as requested beforehand. Additionally, since this reservation was made through a travel reservation site rather than directly with them, I called a few days prior just to confirm my reservation details but was surprised when they said something like "Please check on your end via your reservation site." At other accommodations I've stayed at before, they've responded kindly with comments like "Thank you for taking time to confirm." This made me wonder if they were too busy or stressed out.

    Enjoyed the long-awaited Kitano Hotel.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Kitano Hotel, which I had always wanted to visit. Although I arrived early, I was able to check in, and I was delighted with the room upgrade and the generous gift of baked goods. The moment I opened the door to my charming European-style room, my excitement soared, and I had a relaxing time. Soaking in the bubble bath eased my tired legs after walking. However, as my husband has a larger waistline, we found the provided pajamas a bit tight. It would be great if larger sizes could be made available. Breakfast at Kitano Terrace overlooking Kobe's cityscape was absolutely wonderful. From the moment it was brought on a wagon to enjoying each thoughtfully crafted dish, it truly felt like "the world's best breakfast," leaving us completely satisfied. After returning home, we enjoyed the lemon cake and madeleines from our souvenir selection—they were incredibly delicious. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    The World's Best Breakfast, Where Dreams Come True

    Visited with family. A lovely Hotel with a Christmas-themed lobby. The Room was bright and clean. But the highlight was definitely the morning experience. We were driven to the terrace by car, overlooking Kobe's cityscape in a perfect setting. Warm bread was provided, along with plenty of toppings and several types of juice, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious time. We also received taxi tickets for our return, making it 100% satisfying. Thank you for taking care of us!

    The breakfast was delicious.

    The building is a Western-style mansion with a retro and very calming interior. The woman at the front desk provided exceptionally polite service, which was very pleasant. Other staff members were neutral in their interactions. For dinner, we enjoyed the buffet; the soup and curry were delicious, while the baked dessert was quite sweet—one piece was enough. Breakfast was visually delightful and tasted excellent overall. It was so satisfying that I would love to have it again.

    I was expecting it.

    It was indeed an expensive pension. The breakfast we were looking forward to felt underwhelming. Perhaps those giving high review ratings are not seasoned travelers. We hope for future improvements, including staff training. The bathroom, sink, and toilet seemed renovated; everything except the TV was new and clean.

    Thank you for staying with us for two nights. The light bulb in the bathroom was flickering, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. While it was also my fault for not reporting it, could this have been checked during room cleaning? It was a little disappointing. I dined at the restaurant, but the timing of serving dishes felt unsatisfactory. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Exceptional Breakfast & Hospitality

    I stayed at the accommodation to enjoy the world's best breakfast. At check-in, I was able to choose a room and selected one with a large teddy bear. The room had very comfortable chairs for relaxing, and the bed was spacious and cozy. One minor issue was that adjusting the bathwater temperature was difficult. Another concern was that the curtains were not fully blackout, causing me to wake up early in the morning. Breakfast could be reserved in 15-minute intervals, allowing us to enter the dining area close to our preferred time. Upon being seated, we were asked whether we wanted orange or grapefruit juice and coffee or café au lait. The coffee came in a pot along with warmed milk for mixing. In addition to orange or grapefruit juice, there were four types of herb-infused juices available as well; if you're not fond of herbs, it's better to drink from your right hand side first! Everything tasted amazing, but what impressed me most initially was the honey served with yogurt—it had an incredible aroma that surprised me! I even bought some from their shop before leaving. Next on my list of favorites was a Japanese-style dashi broth included among otherwise Western dishes—it featured authentic ichiban dashi flavoring which left quite an impression on me! The soft-boiled egg also stood out; it came paired alongside Akaho salt specifically chosen for enhancing its taste—both elements showed great attention-to-detail & quality craftsmanship overall making them truly delicious experiences worth savoring too!. There were six different kinds bread offered during meal service itself though guests unable finishing everything provided option taking leftovers home via special bag packaging arrangements instead!. Reflecting back now upon memorable highlights shared above here today regarding breakfast experience alone suffice say entire spread felt uniquely luxurious indulgence throughout entirety visit altogether!. This hotel has always been one I've dreamed about visiting someday—and while pricing admittedly steep generally speaking—we managed book stay Sunday night slightly discounted rate comparatively speaking ultimately making trip worthwhile investment end result-wise personally speaking myself anyway!. Looking forward returning again future hopefully soon enough meantime meantime!.

    Excellent service and ambiance

    Thank you very much for your kind and attentive response, even accommodating an unusual request for cooling items like ice packs when my wife suffered a burn on the morning of our stay. Thanks to your support, we were able to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay without any inconvenience. We were also very satisfied with the meals and facilities. Everything was wonderful, but the lemon water at the front desk, as well as the strawberry compote and tomato butter at breakfast, were particularly delicious and memorable. Overall, we rate our experience very highly.

    We stayed to enjoy the "world's best breakfast." The check-in process was excellent, and the staff was very helpful in providing various information. The Room had a European-style atmosphere, which made it very appealing, especially for women! We had dinner outside and then breakfast at the accommodation. However, the explanation about breakfast was too long. There were so many options that it became confusing, so I ended up choosing on my own. The bread was dry and not impressive. Additionally, the tray used for setting up meals was slightly larger than the table, making me worried about accidentally tipping it over.

    - We requested a Room where opening the curtains would not reveal a neighboring wall, as my wife is uncomfortable with enclosed spaces. - We had several questions about the dress code, which were all answered politely and sincerely.     There were various experiences, but...

    I stayed at the accommodation in Kobe to enjoy the breakfast often referred to as "the world's best breakfast." The hotel is quite far from any station on foot, so I took a taxi from Shin-Kobe Station, which cost 1,400 yen. I arrived slightly past the check-in time. There was only one staff member at the front desk, and their explanation to each guest was very lengthy. It felt like they were not concerned about the line of waiting guests behind them. Since I wanted to head out quickly, it was a bit frustrating. After about 15 minutes, another staff member joined in assisting guests. At that time, I requested breakfast for 7:30 AM. When I returned around 9 PM after going out, there were no staff members at the front desk where keys are kept for safekeeping. Despite ringing the bell multiple times and waiting nearly 10 minutes, no one came until finally a staff member appeared and asked if something was wrong—this left me feeling uneasy. During this interaction, they informed me that my requested breakfast time of 7:30 AM was fully booked and changed it to 7:45 AM instead. When I mentioned what had been discussed during check-in earlier in the day, they adjusted it back to my original request of 7:30 AM after some back-and-forth discussion. The room itself was spacious with a charming Western-style design—a lovely atmosphere overall! The bathroom featured a jet bath which helped relieve fatigue comfortably while relaxing thoroughly; additionally—the bed had firm yet large mattresses perfectly suited towards personal preferences allowing restful sleep throughout nighttime hours! Breakfast next morning offered unique experiences beyond ordinary expectations—it tasted deliciously delightful alongside creating enjoyable moments shared together fondly remembered afterward too! Since plans included visiting Expo later that day post-breakfast preparations hurriedly commenced before requesting taxis arranged heading towards Sannomiya Station promptly thereafter! Although part-of-plan covered up-to-900-yen taxi fare costs initially misunderstood requiring physical vouchers unavailable upon payment attempts clarified via follow-up phone calls confirming reimbursement sent through registered mail subsequently resolving matters satisfactorily eventually altogether nonetheless appreciated efforts made accommodating concerns raised along way positively     My wife's birthday.

    The Room's jacuzzi bath was excellent. Although the meal at Kitano Terrace was slightly different from what we expected, the staff's service (including live piano performances) and the views (especially the night view) were amazing. We had a wonderful birthday celebration, and my wife is very happy. Next time, we plan to have dinner at Kitano Hotel.
