    A long-established, prestigious Hotel?

As this is a historic Hotel, I did not expect the Facilities to be modern or highly functional. However, given its reputation as one of Sapporo’s leading Hotels and its long history of hosting members of the imperial family and many other notable guests, I believed we would at least enjoy a comfortable stay in terms of service. However, from check-in onward, none of the requests and confirmations I had made in advance by phone were recorded at all, and mistakes continued. Some staff members tried hard to make up for it, but eventually even what the Hotel had promised as benefits was not honored, with the response being simply, “There’s nothing we can do—sorry.” If you can’t provide what was promised, shouldn’t you offer an alternative? I heard the Hotel will close next year—was this kind of response because it is closing? Or is it being forced to close because this is how it is run? I don’t think I will ever return, but having to endure five nights of such an unpleasant stay in a Park-in-Park Room (it smelled a bit), at about 60,000 yen per night, was one of my worst accommodation choices in years—and deeply regrettable.

Sapporo’s One and Only Iconic Hotel

This Hotel is still the best in Sapporo. The Facility is old, but the location, the staff’s service, and breakfast while looking out over the park are all unforgettable. A morning walk through Nakajima Park after breakfast is wonderful. Sadly, it will be closing soon, but even after it becomes a Hilton, I hope it will carry on the Park Hotel spirit.

    Everything was great.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. You contacted us in advance, which made us feel at ease and we were able to visit with confidence. It was a very satisfying Hotel. There were plenty of restaurant options, and the Room was spacious, which was great. If I may add one thing, it would be even better if there were a large public bath as well. We visited in a wheelchair, and your thoughtful support was very helpful. Our president said he hoped to return next year for a company trip, but we heard the building will be demolished, which is very disappointing.

    Stay with Your Dog

Although the listing advertises that pets are welcome, we were told not to leave our pet in the Room if the owner is not present, as crying or barking could disturb neighboring Rooms. Therefore, we kept our pet in the car and picked them up on our way back to take them home. Even if the owner stays in the Room, a pet may still cry or bark and cause the same disturbance to neighboring Rooms. If so, wouldn’t it be better to stop allowing pets altogether?

    The staff were excellent.

The front desk, floor staff, and doormen were all warm and welcoming—truly a Hotel that represents Sapporo.

    I had a comfortable stay.

I’ve visited Sapporo many times, but I had never experienced the atmosphere of Nakajima Park, so I decided to stay here for the first time before the Hotel closes. From my Room, I enjoyed the greenery of the park, and with the welcoming service and classic feel of a long-established Hotel, I was able to relax with peace of mind. At Park Club, I enjoyed delicious cocktails while listening to live singing with guitar, and also appreciated the calm bar atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options—almost too many to choose from in a good way. It was also nice to have a bathrobe in the Room. Although the weather was bad, it was still enjoyable to stroll through the park, and Susukino was within walking distance as well.

Used for my wife’s fan activities and for Mother’s Day.

I had long admired Park Hotel, but never had the chance to stay there. This time, we were finally able to visit for the first time, prompted by a live concert of a popular group my wife supports. Since the day after check-in was Mother’s Day, I requested a surprise in advance. They prepared a rose bouquet and a message in our Room, and my wife was truly delighted. I’m grateful for the staff’s attentive service. As we stayed in a Large Twin, it also had a sofa and table, so our family of four could relax comfortably with plenty of space. Staying at this Hotel I’d always dreamed of with my family made for a wonderful and memorable visit. The view of Nakajima Park from the Room was peaceful, and with the subway entrance nearby it was very convenient to get around—an ideal Hotel for a calm and unhurried stay.

I stayed here while visiting my hometown.

Both check-in and check-out were handled with such warmth, and it reminded me how wonderful the hospitality of a long-established hotel can be. The amenities weren’t extensive, but everything we needed was provided, and the room felt very clean. We didn’t use it this time, but we’ve visited Nadaman on the top floor several times before. With views over Nakajima Park and excellent food, it’s a favorite for our whole family. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance.

The staff’s attentive service and the clear ingredient labeling at the buffet restaurant set an industry benchmark.

As last year, I was assigned a Room on the side with a great view of Nakajima Park even on a lower floor. I always feel comfortable seeing that plenty of staff are stationed in the lobby and at the breakfast buffet restaurant, keeping a close eye on guests. The buffet offers many local specialties and handmade items, and even from my perspective as a food safety professional, their attention to health is excellent—clear allergen labeling for ingredients and caution notices such as honey for pancakes not being suitable for infants. The facilities are old, and because the air conditioning is centrally controlled in particular, there can be issues with room temperature during seasonal transitions, but I felt I would like to stay once more before it closes. Even after it becomes a Hilton, I hope they will continue to offer reasonable prices in the off-season.

You can sense the refined professionalism of the Hotel staff.

It was a Hotel where you could feel the staff’s professionalism and sense of refinement. It is scheduled to close for renovation next February, which is disappointing, but also something to look forward to.

    I had a relaxing stay.

This time, I stayed at Park Hotel during my car inspection because I wasn't sure about the type of loaner car and wanted to ensure the parking lot was an open-air one. The exterior was beautifully illuminated with Christmas lights, and Christmas songs were playing, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was upgraded, allowing me to relax and enjoy my stay. For breakfast, I chose the restaurant on the first floor instead of Japanese cuisine like last time, and it was incredibly delicious—I ended up eating too much! The variety of honey, tea bags for tea or herbal tea at Park Hotel made choosing fun as well. The locally sourced ingredients were so tasty that I went back for seconds multiple times. Park Hotel is always a reliable choice that guarantees satisfaction!

Just steps from Nakajima Koen Subway Station, Exit 3. Quiet and excellent.

Close to the subway station, the autumn leaves in the park are beautifully visible from the Hotel. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The Room includes one bottled water, a capsule coffee machine, a refrigerator, and a kettle. Breakfast can be chosen from two locations; I chose Japanese cuisine on the 11th floor, which was very delicious and enjoyable. Although the Facility is old, the front desk staff kindly guided me to my Room with excellent service. The provided sleepwear was comfortable to wear. I would love to stay at this Hotel again.

Experienced the nostalgic atmosphere of the Showa era.

Enjoy the autumn leaves of Nakajima Park from your Room and feel lucky! The staff are friendly, and the luxurious design of the BAR counter is impressive! Breakfast included is highly recommended. It was delicious. Both Nadaman and the buffet were satisfying.

    I had a comfortable stay.

I stayed at a Hotel in the Nakajima Park area for the first time, and it was more convenient than I expected, being within walking distance of Susukino. I also greatly appreciated the support provided for my sudden schedule change. It seems that the Hotel will temporarily close next year and reopen with a new building, but I would love to stay again once it reopens.

The view of the adjacent Nakajima Park is stunning.

The Room offers a great view of the neighboring Nakajima Park, allowing guests to enjoy the changing seasons. The breakfast is varied and enjoyable. However, the Facility in the Room is outdated, requiring two taps to adjust hot water, which can be inconvenient. Improving in-room amenities would further enhance guest satisfaction.

    A calm and cozy atmosphere

Historic charm. Clean and surrounded by a beautiful park environment. Would love to stay again. A rare gem among many similar, characterless Hotels. However, I heard it might close in the near future, which is very disappointing.

A wonderful Hotel with a sense of stability

Breakfast at the lovely restaurant was enjoyable, but the poor manners of some foreign guests at the most prominent window-side seats spoiled the beautiful view. It would be appreciated if more thought was given to seating arrangements. Other than that, everything was perfect—excellent service and a great Room. The high quality of this four-star experience at this price makes it an outstanding value.

Peace of Mind at Park Hotel

When using a rental car in Sapporo, this is my regular accommodation. The staff's attentiveness, such as bringing an extension cord along with the desk light upon request, ensures a stress-free stay. However, the room I stayed in this time had a fixed shower without one over the bathtub, making it inconvenient for women to use. If this issue could be resolved, it would be perfect; however, unless improved, standard rooms might feel more comfortable for long stays.

    Used for my aunt's accommodation.

I made a two-night reservation for my aunt who came from far away. The building is old, but the service was excellent, and the room faced the park with a great view. It seems it had a unit bath, but the bath towels were fluffy, and there was also a bathrobe. She was very delighted in the end. I'm glad I chose this place.

    Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed for two nights and three days as a family for a memorial service. Although we booked a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes upon entering. It was beyond what could be resolved with dehumidifiers or ventilation, so we requested a room change. Since it was the high season in August and we checked in late at night for a two-night stay, I was worried that it might not be possible to switch rooms. However, the staff provided exceptional service and accommodated our request wonderfully. This hotel has always been my mother's favorite accommodation whenever she visits Sapporo, and now I completely understand why she recommends it so highly. Thank you sincerely to the Park team for their outstanding hospitality! Breakfast at Nadaman was relaxing, with incredibly delicious vegetables. On the second day, after the memorial service, we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Nakajima Park. The view of Nakajima Park from our room was stunning and added to the wonderful environment of this accommodation. Overall, this stay became an unforgettable memory filled with excellence!

    The location was excellent.

The hotel is conveniently located right in front of Nakajima Park Station on the Namboku Line, making it easy to access Susukino, Odori, and Sapporo Station. It was disappointing that there were no seafood options for breakfast. I was concerned to see Japanese staff yelling at foreign staff (in the restaurant and during room guidance).

This is my go-to place to stay in Sapporo!

The parking lot is spacious and conveniently located near the station. Diamond members enjoy free parking, a 12:00 checkout, and facility vouchers. I always choose Park for my stays in Sapporo. The staff are friendly and create a comfortable atmosphere. Thank you as always. I will definitely return!

    Long time no see!

After many years, a long-awaited stay. Stayed in a room with a distant view of Mt. Moiwa and overlooking Nakajima Park, cherishing the scenery by enjoying both dinner and breakfast in the room. Opened my favorite champagne brought along during dinner. It was like a dream for one night. I will come again... to this hotel that will soon be gone... I will surely return!!!

    The breakfast was disappointing.

A hotel with a great environment located next to the greenery-filled Nakajima Park. I chose a breakfast-included Plan and had breakfast at Nadaman, serving Japanese cuisine. However, unlike my previous visit, the variety and portions were smaller this time, leaving me disappointed considering the price. Next time, I plan to opt for the buffet. It's truly unfortunate as the Facility and service are otherwise excellent.

    The location is unbeatable.

I have stayed at many hotels in Sapporo, but I like the location of this hotel the most. ① The hotel entrance is conveniently located right in front of Exit 3 of Nakajima Koen Subway Station. ② It is adjacent to and integrated with Nakajima Park, allowing for a morning walk as soon as you wake up. ③ Rooms on the park side offer beautiful views. ④ You can walk back even after drinking late at night in Susukino. ⑤ If you want to enjoy an Onsen or sauna, Jasmac Plaza is within walking distance.

Thank you for always providing a comfortable experience.

This time, I stayed with a friend in a breakfast-included Plan. Thank you so much for upgrading us to a park-side Room again. We enjoyed the peaceful environment that doesn't feel like being in the city and relished the Japanese-style breakfast at the restaurant with a great view. My friend, on her last day of a two-week business trip in Sapporo, was able to relax and was very satisfied. The friendly chats with the front desk staff always make us feel at ease. We look forward to staying here again!

    The hotel stay was v...

The hotel stay was very comfortable. The service from the front desk and bell staff reflected the tradition of this hotel. However, there were two disappointing points. At checkout, I had to settle an additional drink charge of 200 yen. When asked if I needed a receipt, I said it was unnecessary. That was the end of the interaction with the front desk staff. Unsure if everything was complete, I asked, "Is that all?" and their final response was simply "Yes." Disappointing! It reminded me of service at a luxury hotel in a neighboring country that I visited long ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the steamed vegetables at breakfast; they were delicious and served steaming hot in their dish. Curious about how it worked, I lifted the dish to check underneath and found an unidentified object attached to its bottom—perhaps it's best not to peek into back-of-house details? Still, I'll probably stay here again!

The excitement of a historic Hotel

Sapporo Park Hotel excites you even before stepping inside. The blue-tiled exterior nestled in the greenery of Nakajima Park, along with its Japanese logo, is strikingly impressive, harmonizing quietly with the lush park surroundings while exuding elegance and a sense of nostalgia. This accommodation has a unique charm due to its history, offering a different design and atmosphere compared to modern hotels. For instance, the surprisingly large bathroom sink reflects the design philosophy of its time, and the calm tones throughout the building evoke a Showa-modern ambiance. It provides an experience distinct from newer accommodations—a taste that only comes with time and history! Above all else, breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional! Enjoying delicious dishes at leisure while gazing out at the park's expansive scenery felt truly luxurious. The female staff’s warm hospitality made this relaxing moment even more pleasant. (One disappointing point: when I went back to retrieve my forgotten jacket from inside, it had been carelessly rolled up for transport and handed over in a manner reminiscent of crumpled convenience store bags—perhaps because it was handled by male staff? It left me slightly disheartened.) If given another opportunity, I would love to stay at this hotel just as it is now. Thank you very much!

    Breakfast

Breakfast (Western-style) is very delicious with a variety of fresh ingredients. Japanese-style breakfast is average.
