    It was a great Hotel.

    I stayed on the Club Floor for two nights and it was very good. The location was convenient, and I was able to relax in the lounge. I would like to stay here again when I visit Otaru. However, the breakfast venue was a bit warm.

    Conveniently located.

    It was convenient to take the JR train from New Chitose Airport to Otaru, and from the station you can walk there through the covered arcade. The canal is also within easy walking distance, and the former Bank of Japan Otaru Branch is nearby as well—great location. The Room was simple, and amenities such as hair ties were provided in the Room. However, the vanity area in the Room had a slight musty smell. The soup curry at breakfast was excellent. You can make your own Eggs Benedict, which our child really enjoyed. The vegetable salad was fresh, and the fruit—especially blueberries and plums—was very tasty. Since it was during summer vacation, there was a line for breakfast, so it’s best to go as early as possible. The night parfait on the 11th floor had a great atmosphere and looked adorable—we loved it—but it wasn’t clear whether certain time slots or a Reservation were required. It seems to be only for one hour starting at 8:00 PM, and making a Reservation is recommended.

    It was a wonderful Hotel with a lovely bar.

    The bar was wonderful, and the drinks we ordered were delicious. As for the Room, we stayed in the Royal Suite Ocean View with lounge access included, and it was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful ocean view. The lounge was also conveniently close to our Room, and it was great to be able to use it for drinks and more. One disappointing point was that we couldn’t find an available power outlet to charge our phones, so we had to unplug a lamp that was in use in order to charge. We would like this to be improved.

    I stay here every time, and I was satisfied again this time. Since we arrived by ferry, the parking lot was full. We were directed to a distant parking area, but it was difficult to find.\nWe arrived feeling disappointed because the plan for the new ferry Hamanasu had changed—and then found the parking lot full as well.\nI really like this Hotel, so please do something about the parking situation. I usually come on a Venus Travel package tour, but this time I arranged everything myself as an independent trip.

    A great classic Hotel

    It was a calm, classic Hotel. Classic Hotels have become rarer in recent years, but I find them more relaxing than modern-style properties, so I really appreciated the tasteful furnishings and quiet atmosphere. Although I was traveling alone, I made a Reservation for a twin Room, which gave me plenty of space. The bathtub was also generously sized for a unit bath, so I could soak comfortably without needing to use the public bath. The welcome service in the lobby was lovely—I could enjoy treats like rusks, and they were especially delicious. I had one there on the spot, and honestly wished they were for sale so I could take three more back to my Room. If I may add one personal wish, it would be wonderful to have a slightly more luxurious option such as an authentic afternoon tea set—it would make the stay feel even more special. Sightseeing is my main purpose when traveling, but enjoying a bit of Hotel time is also part of the fun.

    It was comfortable.

    I chose this hotel because it was right next to the restaurant I wanted to visit, and it was also close to the station—an extremely convenient location for getting anywhere. I arrived early, but you let me check in right away and even upgraded my Room to a twin—thank you very much. The large public bath wasn’t crowded, so I could relax and warm up properly. I also liked that the shower head was a ReFa. The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and everything was delicious—I was truly impressed. The carbonated tomato juice was especially good. With such a lineup that makes you want to drink wine, I’d love it if you could offer sparkling wine as well, even with an additional charge. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Otaru.

    - Since it was during the Golden Week holidays, it may have been unavoidable, but there were too few washing stations in the large public bath, and we ended up waiting in line while still naked. There were also too few seats for drying hair, so I went back to the Room with my hair still wet. - The breakfast buffet had limited variety. With many Hotels in Hokkaido putting a lot of effort into breakfast, this was disappointing. - There is no parking lot; you need to use nearby paid coin parking. I would appreciate it if you could cover at least part of the fee. - I used the bar with a ticket, but perhaps because it was a ticket there was no explanation at all, and no hand towel was provided. It was supposed to be a cocktail, but it was so weak it felt like there was no alcohol—basically just juice (lol).

    Disappointing Otaru

    Even though I chose the most expensive Hotel in the city center, the view from the window was nothing but the wall of the neighboring building—no mountains or ocean at all. I wish there had been a note at the time of Reservation stating that a view from the window cannot be expected. The Facility and Room both felt old, and it seemed like an overpriced Business Hotel. I had read in a Review that the bread was delicious and was looking forward to it, but it was hard and very disappointing. It didn’t taste good to me at all. When I asked at the bakery on the first floor, it seemed they do not serve freshly baked bread from that day. If they were serving leftover bread from previous days, I think that is extremely disrespectful to guests. Breakfast in Hokkaido is usually something to look forward to because Hotels offer plenty of ingredients and variety, but here there were very few items and the quality was low. Even though Otaru is one of my favorite places, this stay was disappointing.

    Wonderful Hotel

    It was a Hotel full of hospitality. Everyone at the front desk, the bar, and the Japanese breakfast venue was wonderful. The food and drinks were all very delicious. I will visit again. Thank you very much!

    If you're in Otaru, this Hotel is a must!

    I believe it is worth staying even at double the price. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Otaru.

    Hotel with a Lovely Bar

    If you stay in Otaru, you'll want to come back again. The bath has a clean feel. The atmosphere of the bar was excellent.

    Luxuriously for one

    I chose a Japanese-style breakfast, and the male staff was very kind and cheerful, which made me feel so happy in the morning. Such excellent service in the morning sets a positive tone for the entire day. (The breakfast itself was fairly standard.) The room was spacious and fantastic! The bathroom with a washing area was also large and clean. There were Nespresso, tea bags, water, juice, and beer (though I don't drink) in the fridge. They also provided lotion, body lotion, and bathrobes—very convenient. It was an extremely satisfying accommodation experience!

    A Long-Awaited Visit to Otaru

    Stayed in Otaru for the first time in about 10 years. Conveniently located close to the station and the canal, right in the shopping street. The Facility shows some signs of aging, but it was well-cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast had a limited selection but was tasty. I think it’s reasonably priced for the cost.

    Delicious breakfast

    The services are minimal but sufficient. The breakfast and location were excellent, and the coin laundry was helpful for a Multiple Night Stay. Although it is not an Onsen, having a large public bath is a plus. However, the dress code for accessing the bath was inconvenient. It would be nice if relaxing wear could be provided for after bathing. Since the breakfast was delicious, I plan to stay here again when visiting Otaru.

    The Room was clean, ...

    The Room was clean, and I was very satisfied with the breakfast, which featured plenty of Hokkaido-sourced ingredients and could be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The large public bath was also a great feature. The staff's courteous service made my stay pleasant. Thank you very much.

    Highly recommended.

    Conveniently located close to the canal. The Room was bright and clean, and the breakfast buffet as well as the sushi kaiseki at the Hotel's restaurant were excellent. Depending on the time, I could also enjoy a relaxing bath. I would love to stay here again when visiting Otaru.

    Delicious cuisine and a relaxing atmosphere.

    A calm and relaxing Hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. However, during dinner at the top lounge, while the appetizers and pasta were excellent, our table was quite dark, making it difficult to see the dishes clearly—likely due to the table arrangement. While this might be fine for enjoying drinks, having enough lighting to see the food would be better. The large public bath had staff present at reception, which provided a sense of security and was appreciated. The Room was thoroughly cleaned and made for a comfortable stay.

    Otaru Trip

    We stayed as three senior families with a total of six members. The Room was spacious enough, the meals were delicious, and the staff's service was excellent, making it a wonderful memory.

    Service could be improved!

    Due to heavy rain, my flight was significantly delayed, and I checked in around 8:30 PM. The reception staff, possibly due to it being late at night, was a foreigner with somewhat limited Japanese skills. After some time, I noticed the toilet's bidet was broken and contacted the reception. They promptly came with a maintenance person but ultimately couldn't fix it, so I had to change rooms. However, during this process, there were no apologies or expressions of concern. Perhaps it was a language barrier since they were not Japanese, but all they said repeatedly was "Please move to the new room!" Even when handing over the key after moving rooms, they only said "Please!" It would have been nice if they had expressed something like "Sorry for the inconvenience" or "Thank you for your patience." The Onsen also fell slightly short of expectations. However, the location is convenient and breakfast was delicious.

    Although the carpet ...

    Although the carpet and plumbing in the room show some age, the bed was comfortable, and I had a pleasant stay. I especially appreciated the coffee service in the lobby lounge. Thank you for your warm hospitality towards children. I would consider this accommodation again when visiting Otaru.

    It was a satisfying Hotel.

    The stay was very comfortable with a classical atmosphere. It is conveniently located near the station and faces an arcade, making it easy to move around even in the rain or under shade. You can also enjoy a pleasant walk while feeling the refreshing breeze from the canal direction. Additionally, there is a bakery on the first floor, which was very convenient. I would love to stay here again next time!

    A Relaxing Hotel

    I stayed at Authent Hotel in Otaru for one night during Obon, as recommended by a friend. Check-in was at 14:00, but the bath opened at 15:00, so I thought arriving later would be fine. However, since the parking lot only had space for 18 cars and operated on a first-come-first-served basis, I arrived at 14:15. The parking area was about 20 meters from the hotel entrance; it was sunny and warm, so I worked up a bit of sweat. The Room was ready upon arrival, which was convenient. Using a card key to access both the lounge area and my Room made things easy. The Room itself was spacious at 37 square meters with an ocean view but had an elongated triangular shape. While it came with two armchairs and a round table that were nice touches, the small TV surprised me. Although I connected Amazon Fire Stick to Wi-Fi and could watch WOWOW channels, I gave up because the subtitles were too small to read. I then visited the lounge area for refreshments but found no staff present there—a first-time experience for me! My wife enjoyed Otaru beer while I opted for bottled water; snacks like financiers were easy to eat as well. Unfortunately, there wasn’t milk available for coffee or options like cappuccino. At 15:00 sharp, we headed to the public bath located on what seemed like two different floors—2nd floor according to guides but accessed via stairs from an entrance on the third floor! Not knowing towels weren’t provided caused some confusion between my wife & me later back in our Room—but once inside? It turned out great! Individual shower spaces separated neatly alongside independent faucet/shower controls felt unique yet comfortable overall despite lacking scenic views outside sauna areas themselves remained cozy enough thanks largely due misty warmth enveloping everything around us entirely! Dinner plans initially involved meat sets switched last-minute sushi instead after quick call front desk confirmed changes possible timing adjusted accordingly six pm slot delicious meal ensued sake accompanying dishes perfectly complemented flavors additional requests tempura chawanmushi fulfilled satisfaction guaranteed end day relaxing robe-clad moments post-bath lounging rounded off memorable stay altogether

    Relax and unwind in our serene large public bath, ensuring a stress-free and satisfying experience.

    The welcome drink is self-service, the large public bath is comfortable, and the room was satisfactory. Since it's located in the city center, I opted for No Meals Included to dine out, but the meals here also seemed appealing. I would like to stay here again when visiting Otaru.

    Thank you for your stay. The Facility is a bit outdated, so it would be great if it were renovated. I was concerned about the slippery bathroom floor, which felt slimy and seemed unsafe. I visited the bar using a ticket; while the atmosphere was nice, the staff appeared disappointed (perhaps because of the ticket usage). The drinks were delicious, which made this even more unfortunate.

    A unit bath is available.

    The unit bath and toilet had an unpleasant odor, likely due to aging. As I am sensitive to smells, I opted to use the public bath instead of the unit bath. The showerheads in the public bath were equipped with Refa, which was excellent. Consideration for renovating the unit baths might be beneficial.

    Highly Satisfied!

    We made a Reservation for six adults with the Hokkaido meat and sake pairing Plan. The Room was well-cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. The food at the top-floor lounge was delicious, and the staff's service was excellent. It became a wonderful memory of Otaru. Thank you very much!

    Perfect for Otaru sightseeing

    I stayed here for the first time in nearly 20 years. It is conveniently located near Otaru Station with good access to tourist attractions. The public bath is not very large but clean and comfortable. The bread and baked goods from the bakery on the first floor are delicious.
