    Club Floor Reserve… IKYU Diamond membership is meaningless.

    This time, I reserved a Club Floor room at Kagoshima Shiroyama Hotel through an IKYU Diamond Member Reservation, but I realized the Club Room services are essentially the same as the IKYU Diamond member benefits. Since there were no Diamond benefits at all, booking through IKYU ended up having no real advantage. It might be better to join the Shiroyama Hotel membership for better value—or simply book through another site and enjoy the Club Room services as they are.

    Conveniently located—perfect for sightseeing.

    I chose this Hotel for my first trip to Kagoshima in a while. A free shuttle bus runs from around Kagoshima-Chuo Station to the Hotel about twice an hour. The Hotel’s Facilities are well maintained, and while you may notice some age if you look closely, it is more than adequate for a comfortable stay. Above all, the view from the large public bath is outstanding. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.

    The Hotel of Your Dreams

    I’ve visited Kagoshima many times, but this was an Accommodation I had never stayed at. It was a Hotel I’d always dreamed of staying in at least once—and it was amazing. Everything was outstanding. I found the lowest price on IKYU.cm and booked immediately without hesitation. Thank you very much. I’d love to stay again, so please offer the lowest price.

    A Relaxing Hotel

    This Hotel always offers a Sakurajima view from the Room and feels like a true power spot. The large public bath is always clean, and the breakfast is consistently delicious. Dinner was also outstanding—the Japanese meal and tempura were absolutely delicious. We will visit again in summer.

    As this is a large, long-established Hotel, it was very crowded at check-in, but the staff handled everything efficiently and it was not unpleasant.\nThe view of Sakurajima from the large public bath was wonderful.

    Not as good as expected.

    It’s difficult to serve yourself at the breakfast buffet. The seating is cramped, and the dining area feels like a cafeteria. It feels stressful. There’s a wide variety of dishes and I’m satisfied with the selection, but it was a bit disappointing for a relaxing trip (><).

    My Kagoshima: Shiroyama Hotel

    This is Shiroyama Hotel, which I’ve been visiting over the past three years. This episode is about their hospitality… One day in June, I was meeting my family from Miyazaki in the Hotel lobby. With two small children, getting around isn’t easy for them. When they arrived at the entrance and asked about parking, a staff member kindly guided them, saying, “This way, please!”… As I watched them off afterward, I was amazed—because it was a spot that looked like it would be reserved for welcoming VIP guests. I was truly surprised. Our family car is a box-type vehicle—not a luxury car. I was deeply moved by their thoughtfulness. They didn’t judge by the person or the car; they simply considered what would help us most, and that meant a lot to me. To everyone at Shiroyama Hotel: thank you very much. We’ll be back again.

    This Hotel offers outstanding hospitality from arrival before check-in to the farewell after check-out. My spouse and I stayed one night in a Forest Twin with breakfast and dinner included. The Room was spacious with lovely interior design, and the Onsen bathing area was large with silky-smooth water quality; you can also see Sakurajima from the open-air bath and relaxation space. Above all, we were impressed that the staff were constantly cleaning. We had dinner at Yamashiro Gardens Suiren. It was a kaiseki menu, and everything was delicious. The eel in particular was tender and excellent, and the service was wonderful. The popular breakfast truly lives up to the Hotel’s reputation, with a wide variety of options. There were so many things we wanted to try, but we couldn’t finish them all. Here as well, the staff were attentive, making it very pleasant to use. Overall, this is a very high-quality Hotel in every respect. If possible, we would love to stay again.

    Typhoon No. 6

    I stayed for three nights and was able to fully enjoy the Onsen. The free shuttle bus made it convenient to get into town. On the last day, while the streetcars and city buses were suspended all day due to Typhoon No. 6, thank you for continuing to operate the shuttle bus—it was a great help.

    The Onsen is great.

    I have stayed here several times, and the Onsen has silky, smooth water that feels great on the skin, with a temperature that is just right. Above all, the view from the open-air bath is outstanding. However, it can be difficult when it gets crowded. Also, thanks to the IKYU Diamond member benefit of a Room upgrade, they prepared a quiet Room for me, which I really appreciated.

    We originally booked for five guests for three nights, but due to unforeseen circumstances we changed the Plan and stayed with four guests instead. The Hotel had a great atmosphere, and the staff were kind. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

    Kagoshima’s most comfortable hidden retreat

    I stayed at Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima from 5/29 to 5/30. I checked in yesterday at 3:30 PM and checked out today at 12:00 PM, for a total stay of 21.5 hours, but it was such a comfortable Hotel that I could have stayed forever—especially the breathtaking views of Sakurajima from the Room and the large public bath. I’ll definitely be back!

    Imperial Hotel Kagoshima

    I stayed on an affordable Plan without a view of Sakurajima, but I could see it from the bath, the lobby, the garden, and many other places, so it didn’t bother me at all. It’s a very large Hotel, and I had to walk quite a bit from my Room to the bath, but every staff member I passed in the hall greeted me with a smile, which made me feel great. The breakfast buffet had such an incredible variety that it was impossible to try everything. The locally sourced simmered dishes were gently seasoned and so comforting—I felt like I could eat endlessly. Shuttle buses to the station and Tenmonkan ran frequently as well, making it extremely convenient. This was my first time in Kagoshima, but I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

    It was another great stay.

    I travel to Kagoshima a few times a year, and I always stay here. The breakfast is delicious, and above all the Onsen is wonderful—I was fully satisfied again this time. I’m planning to visit again around the end of summer, so I’m looking forward to it.

    A relaxing getaway from everyday life

    We enjoyed a relaxing Multiple Night Stay in a Room with a view of Sakurajima. The Accommodation is very spacious, so the round trip walk to the popular Onsen, Satsuma-no-Yu, was a pleasant stroll. The Onsen lived up to its reputation for the scenery, and it wasn’t crowded, so it felt like we could truly take in the energy of Sakurajima. If you visit Kagoshima, I think it’s worth stretching your budget a little to stay at this Hotel and refresh yourself. With all due respect, while the garden at dinner at Suiren was wonderful, I would have preferred local fish rather than standard sashimi. I also feel that with more creativity in the food offerings—such as breakfast and the bar—this place could become even more outstanding.

    It was very good.

    When I previously visited Kagoshima, I previewed this Hotel and thought it looked wonderful. Later, I saw on TV that the view from the bath was amazing, so I definitely wanted to stay here. It was a wonderful Hotel, just as I expected. I would love to visit again.

    A Final Trip at 100 Years Old

    We chose this Hotel as the final travel destination for my 100-year-old grandmother because we had wonderful memories from our previous stay. Everyone at the Hotel, starting with the doorman, was extremely kind, courteous, and wonderful. The private bath has no view, but it is clean. As a Diamond member, we did not receive a Room upgrade. On top of that, we were unfortunately on a lower floor, so the view from the window was mainly the roof of the building below, which made even the Sakurajima view feel disappointing... Since it was a triple Room, it felt too small for a wheelchair, and we could not reach the window area in a wheelchair. We went to breakfast early and were able to enter without waiting. The food was delicious as well. One of the shuttle bus drivers was especially kind. Overall, everyone was truly wonderful at this Hotel.

    All the staff provided wonderful hospitality, and we had a very comfortable stay. My wife also really liked your Hotel and purchased an original teddy bear. When we visit Kagoshima again, we will stay with you again.

    The views of Sakurajima from the guest rooms, baths, and restaurant are spectacular. The rooms were also stylish and very clean. Dinner was a kaiseki meal, and we enjoyed it very much.

    The Onsen was excellent.

    We stayed for two nights. The building feels a bit old, but it was kept very clean, so it didn’t bother us. Above all, the quality of the Onsen water was excellent. What was a little disappointing were the massage and body scrub. The quality was low; in particular, the body scrub had no effect at all, and I ended up washing my body and hair again afterward. I could tell they were trying hard with the massage, but technically it wasn’t satisfying. The Onsen was so good that I’d like to visit again, but I won’t use the massage or body scrub services in the future. Many of the staff were very hospitable, and their service felt pleasant. On the other hand, at breakfast a male staff member—possibly new—was just walking around without doing anything, and we almost bumped into each other; it was disappointing that there was no apology.

    Wonderful Hotel

    An open-air bath where you can enjoy the Onsen with Sakurajima right in front of you, and hospitality that shines throughout the Hotel—after letting them know in advance about my mother’s birthday, they even prepared a card and sweets for us. It was a stay filled with many touching moments and deep gratitude! The breakfast buffet was truly lavish, with sea bream dashi chazuke from the morning, yellowtail sashimi, bread sold at the Hotel bakery, and even desserts—nothing felt overlooked. Every single item was genuinely delicious. This Hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would love to stay again.

    We were very satisfied.

    This was a trip to Kagoshima with my mother. We wanted to make it a little luxurious, so we chose a Plan with a spacious Room featuring a Sakurajima view. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the summit of Sakurajima was hard to see through the clouds, but we were truly impressed by the open, airy Room that offered a sweeping view from Terukuni Shrine all the way to Chuo Station. On the second day, we used the lounge instead of having dinner. There was an excellent selection including cheese and sandwiches, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing—we enjoyed an elegant time. On the first day, we also dined at the French restaurant on an upper floor, and every dish was delicious. The famous breakfast buffet included satsuma-age (fried fish cakes) and egg over rice with bonito flakes, which gave us great energy for the day. I could only use the large public bath after sunset, but next time I hope to enjoy it while looking out at Sakurajima. Even after dark, though, the night view was beautiful—and my skin felt wonderfully smooth. Whether spending time with someone special or enjoying time alone, I think this is a Hotel where you can have an exceptional stay. As a long-established property, it is one of those places I truly hope will continue for many years to come.

    It’s a great Hotel after all.

    The weather wasn’t great, so unfortunately we could only see half of Sakurajima. On a clear day, I think it would be an outstanding location. The Room, food, and bath were all wonderful, and above all, we could really feel the pride the staff take in working at such a historic Hotel. When I visit Kagoshima again, I’d like to stay at this Hotel and finally see Sakurajima under clear skies.

    This was my first stay. When we arrived by rental car, the warm welcome from the elderly doorman was wonderful and left a great impression.\nThe Room was spacious enough, and because the Hotel is on a hill, the view of Sakurajima from the large public bath was breathtaking. The soft natural hot spring water felt smooth on the skin and was very relaxing.\nThe lounge cocktail time offered such a wide variety of items that it practically became dinner, and I was very satisfied.\nAbove all, I clearly understood why this Hotel is so strongly supported by the people of Kagoshima Prefecture. Please continue to stay close to local residents and keep up your unchanged hospitality for years to come.

    The view was great.

    I stayed for one night. Check-in took far too long, and there was a very long line. Some guests became upset due to the inefficient handling. I believe there is room for improvement in the check-in process. The view and the food were good.

    Utmost comfort

    It was a truly outstanding Hotel with nothing to complain about. Both the guest room and the open-air bath were comfortable, with a front-facing view of Sakurajima. Needless to say, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, and we also found the tenants’ service pleasant. I had always wanted to stay here at least once, and now I’d like to stay again.

    It had been a while since my last stay, but I’m grateful for your consistently excellent service.

    I’ve been on a series of business trips to Kagoshima and usually stayed at a Hotel near the work site, but this time I stayed at Shiroyama Hotel for the first time in a while. As expected, I was truly impressed by how attentive and capable the staff were. I’ve stayed at Shiroyama Hotel many times before with my wife and grandchildren. Recently, I had been staying at an international chain Hotel since one opened in Kagoshima, so it had been quite some time since my last visit here. Still, this trip reminded me how relaxing a long-established Hotel can be. The meals were also delicious.

    Enjoy a relaxing staycation at the Hotel

    Thanks to the IKYU Diamond member benefits, we were upgraded and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. We also tried all of the restaurants in the Hotel, and found each one to be great value. We will definitely visit again. Breakfast was excellent as well.
