    Miyako Radisson

    A very good Hotel. I have been using it since the Miyako Hotel and Radisson days. I visit every month. Even as times change, it still feels like a great Hotel. However, the level of service is quite disappointing. There are two lanes in front of the reception: "Marriott Elite Check-in" and "General Check-in." When I stood in the "General Check-in" line, staff directed me to join the "Marriott" line instead. ??? In the end, it seems they only use one lane for check-ins anyway—very confusing. The staff were expressionless and unfriendly as well. The staff at this Hotel truly lack smiles. I believe there is a correlation between a hotel's grade and its staff's smiles, but unfortunately, this Hotel does not reflect that belief at all. That said, if you don't care about smiles from staff members, I would recommend this place—it is top-notch as a Facility. No response from the Facility is necessary. Looking at replies to other guests' feedbacks shows they are mostly copy-pasted responses. It seems there’s no intention to genuinely listen to guest opinions here either—unfortunately!

    This was my fourth stay, but the upgraded room I was guided to was an old, damp north-facing room with uneven floors, seemingly meant for staff accommodation. After filing a complaint, I was moved to a newer room with a single bed, but it turned out to be a very disappointing stay.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay, but I was able to relax and enjoy my time during the holiday break. I ordered breakfast through room service, and it was great that I could use it at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious. The bed suited me well, and I had a restful sleep. I was happy to spend time in such a comfortable atmosphere after a long while.

    Felt luxurious.

    This is my second stay. This time, I used a special Plan? and Diamond benefits, which included breakfast and an exclusive lounge access Plan. I enjoyed room service for breakfast and used the exclusive lounge at different times of the day. I had a relaxing time until the 2 PM checkout and felt an even greater sense of luxury than my previous visit. Thank you very much. If this Plan becomes available again, I would love to use it immediately!

    Stay with peace of mind

    We have been staying here since the COVID-19 pandemic, and the service from the long-standing front desk staff is always excellent. This is a facility where you can stay with peace of mind.

    Located in the city ...

    Located in the city center yet quiet and reasonably priced, offering excellent location and value. The building shows some age but maintains a level of cleanliness that can be described as charming. The lounge area has a relaxed, unpolished vibe that some may find appealing. The fitness area features a clean pool, but the gym equipment is partially out of order and falls short of expectations. Internet connection speed is somewhat disappointing.

    The Strength of a Long-Established Tradition

    A wonderful Hotel. I have been using it since the Miyako Hotel and Radisson days. This is my third visit this year. The suite is amazing, offering a sense of spaciousness and comfort beyond its numbers. A large bathroom, two toilets, and a Blu-ray player—highly recommended. The restaurant Sichuan is also excellent. The staff who guided us and the hall staff were very pleasant. As we were leaving, the bell staff kindly offered to carry our luggage. Their dedication to seeing guests off properly until the end was impressive. The shuttle bus driver was also very polite and kind—a true gentleman with beautifully ironed shirts and polished shoes that reflect the class of a first-rate Hotel. No response from the Facility is necessary as repetitive replies are rather unpleasant for me.

    Perfect for a staycation

    I made a Reservation to spend my summer vacation at a luxurious Hotel. Despite being close to the station, it was quiet, and the interior of the Hotel was calm and very clean. In the morning, I enjoyed a Japanese-style breakfast, and the rice was so delicious that I couldn't help but ask for seconds! Thank you for your hospitality.

    Favorite Hotel

    I occasionally stay at my favorite Hotel. It has a rich history and brings back memories of the Showa era. The Hotel is clean, and you can feel the care and tradition that have been preserved over time. The service is very polite and of high quality. The pool and sauna feel quite aged, so perhaps it's time for renovations? On the other hand, I also appreciate their vintage charm. The club lounge offers a great space and atmosphere. It would be nice to have more warm food options, but overall, I am satisfied. I look forward to staying here again!

    Very good Hotel.

    The facility's responses may seem insincere and repetitive, but this is a great hotel worth reviewing. I have been using this hotel since its Miyako Hotel and Radisson days, and it remains an excellent choice. A luxurious property surrounded by greenery despite being in the city center. Renovated rooms that are now more user-friendly. Well-equipped restaurants and abundant amenities. It would be perfect with more linens. However, the quality of service is disappointing. At the entrance, there are bell staff who do not greet or acknowledge guests at all. During check-in, even when I mentioned how much I enjoyed my stay last month, there was no reaction from the staff. Upon departure, a staff member sitting near the entrance was engrossed in their computer work without acknowledging guests—this should be done in an office setting instead! The level of professionalism among staff is surprisingly low.

    I stayed on the Prem...

    I stayed on the Premier Floor, but check-in and check-out were at the front desk. While I was able to use the club lounge, it did not feel particularly special. It seems Marriott members are given priority.

    This is my third stay.

    This was my third stay, and the first time with my children! I chose a breakfast-included Plan this time and enjoyed it leisurely with room service. During the Tanabata season, we hung wishes on tanzaku, which made the kids very happy. The decorations in front of the shop were also lovely.

    A wonderful Hotel.

    During the Miyako Hotel and Radisson eras, I frequently stayed here. This was my first stay in a while, and I was reminded of what a wonderful hotel it is. Despite being in the city center, it is surrounded by greenery, with convenient car access, an elegant entrance and lobby, fast elevators, and a variety of excellent restaurants. The bathroom is also user-friendly—truly an outstanding accommodation. However, while many accommodations offer check-in at their club lounges, this hotel requires check-in at the front desk. Additionally, unlike other hotels where club lounges are often located on the top floor for exclusivity, here it is on the second floor. This lack of special ambiance feels somewhat disappointing. Both check-in and check-out processes felt rather plain. Overall, the staff are competent and efficient; however, for those seeking an extraordinary experience away from daily life, it may feel slightly lacking. There are many hotels of similar class in Tokyo; without distinct individuality or uniqueness to stand out from competitors, this hotel risks blending into the crowd. Given its high potential as an accommodation with so much to offer already—why not aim even higher?

    Disappointed?

    Afternoon tea offers only dry snacks and feels subpar. Room cleaning is not completed even after 5 PM, with vacuum cleaners and used towels left in the hallway. Parking lot signage is unclear, among other issues.

    The food presentation and breakfast were excellent.

    (A slightly strict evaluation due to price expectations) Compared to lounges at other hotels of the same rank, there were some service aspects that felt lacking, such as check-in procedures (reception at the front desk without guidance to the lounge) and the absence of floor numbers in the facility guide. Regarding IKYU Diamond Member benefits, it was necessary for us to request them (whereas other hotels usually consider this during check-in). The dining experience was good.

    Old but well-maintained with a charming atmosphere

    I stayed here for the first time in over 10 years. The exterior and interior have a traditional feel. The room has been renovated and is clean. While not spacious, it is functional and well-maintained. During breakfast, when the buffet entrance was crowded with a line, the staff quickly checked the availability of another restaurant via internal phone and guided us there directly. The restaurant staff were attentive, observant of tables, and charmingly friendly. After eating, I thought about strolling through the garden but wasn’t sure where to go; within seconds of looking around confusedly, an international staff member approached me to assist. It was just a brief moment but left a strong impression. The service provided by the staff compensates for the age of the facility. I truly felt welcomed as if I had come to a proper hotel again after so long. Staying at this hotel that I've always liked reminded me why it’s such a great place—it’s not about luxury or extravagance but rather its unique charm that includes its location and garden. Among Tokyo's increasingly expensive hotels, this one still offers reasonable pricing. Please continue being an oasis without resorting to exploitative practices towards guests!

    Bath

    I stayed on a high floor, and the bath was very comfortable. There was an Onsen-style bath additive provided. The bathtub was deep, allowing for a relaxing soak. Of course, having a separate washing area was also a nice touch.

    The long-established Hotel

    After the first three days of the New Year, I made a sudden Reservation to spend a relaxing New Year with my partner who returned from visiting family. Needless to say, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the long-established establishment and was able to relax with the extensive menu at the bar and lounge. Thanks to the special offer, I was able to check out at 2 PM, allowing me to enjoy a luxurious moment at the beginning of the New Year. Thank you very much.

    New Year's Relaxing Stay

    During the New Year holidays, I was able to take a long vacation for the first time in a while, so I stayed on January 3rd and 4th for my family who tends to overwork when staying at home. It was nice to have a garden, enjoy meals with room service, and relax without doing anything. Even though it was crowded with lounge access, when I provided my room number, I was notified as soon as there was availability. Even with two rooms, we were able to gather as a family, share a space while enjoying tea, alcohol, and light meals, and had a great time. The bath was easy to use, the bathtub was deep, and it was helpful that the water could be filled automatically. Climbing the garden's Fujizuka (Fujizuka), it turned out to be a very auspicious New Year.

    It was the worst Hotel.

    First of all, the building is old, and due to the lack of staff training, the check-in line was long and slow. The dark corridors were depressing, and the narrow Room had an old, creaky mattress and a very small bathroom, making it the worst sleeping experience. The most unbelievable thing was having to pay 3000 yen to use the gym. The gym only had running machines and bikes, with no dumbbells or mats. It was the first time I had to pay for the gym at a Hotel with a gym. I never want to stay here again.

    Good stay

    Both check-in and check-out counters were somewhat crowded, but the staff responded politely, and the line seemed to be smooth despite the number of people. The selection at the club lounge during cafe time was very limited, but in the evening, as before, a variety of drinks and snacks were offered. On my previous visit, I had the impression that the service was not keeping up with the number of staff, but this time, despite the heavy crowd, the response was very prompt and courteous, allowing me to have a very pleasant time. Also, I had the weekend-only French toast at Bamboo, which was very delicious, and the atmosphere and live music in the store were very lovely. If I have the opportunity again, I would definitely like to use this Hotel.

    Dinner in Sichuan

    This time, I stayed to have dinner at the restaurant Sichuan. It was great to have Sichuan's mapo tofu after a long time. The staff service was excellent, and the room was renovated, very clean, and had a bath with a washing area, allowing for a very relaxing time. I couldn't visit the bar this time, so I would like to come again.

    I was able to stay comfortably.

    I stayed on the premium floor, THE CLUB. The room amenities were well-equipped, and the bed was spacious enough for two people to sleep comfortably. If I had to be picky, I felt the bath could be a bit larger. The lounge had a wide variety of drinks, but perhaps due to the timing of the changeover, there weren't many light snacks to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience and atmosphere at the other restaurants and bars. Breakfast was served via room service, allowing for a leisurely meal, and I wished I could have stayed longer. However, due to a sudden change in plans, I had to leave early, but I would love to visit this hotel again for a more relaxed stay.

    Wonderful! However...

    Staying on the premium floor THE CLUB, the room and amenities were well-equipped, and I was able to spend my time comfortably with the bath. I was also satisfied with the breakfast buffet and the cafe in front of the entrance. However, due to a multiple night stay, I requested room cleaning, but despite the cleaning, there was trash under the pillow. I thought it was primarily our responsibility to clean it up. Therefore, I rated the customer service as 4. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

    The room I stayed in...

    The room I stayed in had renovated plumbing, and aside from the cheap showerhead and the hairdryer being on par with a business hotel, it was comfortable. The desk and storage in the room remain old. You can hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. The facilities do not match the price of over 50,000 yen per night. There are many more comfortable hotels in Tokyo. I used Sichuan for breakfast and generally enjoyed it. The cake I had in the lounge was also expensive but delicious. The service was not impressive, just average.

    3-night stay in a Superior Type Room

    It is a Hotel where you can spend time in a calm atmosphere every time. The meals are delicious, and I also used Sichuan. I was able to sleep well. However, I went to the same place for breakfast three times, but the person at the entrance did not remember me, and on the last day, I was asked to present a meal ticket. The staff inside remembered me, so I felt disappointed at the entrance. However, I always use the shuttle bus to Meguro Station, which is very convenient. Thank you very much.

    An oasis in the city, a healing stay

    The cocktail time at the club lounge and the Sichuan breakfast were delicious. The selection during tea time might be a bit modest. However, the tiramisu during the evening tea time was extremely delicious. Perhaps because it was crowded during the Obon holiday, I was initially stopped by a staff member when I tried to move to a slightly open space during the evening tea time, which was puzzling, but in the end, I was allowed through, which was good. The staff's response was generally good, but I felt there was a slight difference in greetings depending on the person. Nevertheless, I was able to swim in the pool, enjoy the greenery in the garden, and relax in the room, making it another fulfilling stay. It seems the pool will be renovated as well, so I'm looking forward to the next stay. I will visit again.
