Unfortunately.

I was very dissatisfied that there was no Room upgrade even though plenty of Rooms were available. Also, although Diamond members should be able to check out as late as 2:00 PM, I was told it was 12:00 PM. When I asked if it could be extended, they finally said, “We’ll set your checkout to 2:00 PM. It’s fine if you leave earlier.” It made me feel looked down on. It’s disappointing because the Hotel has such a nice atmosphere.

Thank you very much for staying with us. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations regarding the upgrade and checkout information, and for any discomfort this may have caused. We should have provided clearer and more attentive guidance regarding the benefits for IKYU Diamond members, but our explanation was insufficient. In particular, regarding the checkout time, we recognize that we should have clearly informed you in advance that late checkout is available until 2:00 p.m., so you could enjoy your stay with peace of mind. While this was never our intention, we take seriously that our actions resulted in disappointment. We will take your feedback to heart and strive to provide guidance and service that better reflects our guests’ feelings going forward. Although you were pleased with the atmosphere of our Accommodation, we deeply regret that your stay ended up diminishing that positive impression.
