Sakura PORT HOTEL

With its convenient location right by the East Exit of Kitakami Station, I stayed on the top (9th) floor this time. The room was new and clean, spacious for a single, and well designed with an easy-to-use desk and chair and a thoughtfully planned layout.The Hotel also offers welcome drinks, a choice of amenities, and a large public bath, making the stay comfortable overall. Laundry Facilities are available on both the 2nd and 6th floors; it was convenient to check machine availability from the room, and the PIN-code system was helpful as well. On the other hand, they can be fully occupied during peak times, and it would be even more convenient if cashless payment were available.This time I chose a Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Since there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance around Kitakami Station’s East Exit area, choosing dinner included was definitely the right call. Being able to have all meals within the Hotel is a major advantage.Breakfast featured items such as Kitakami natto, roast beef, and BALMUDA toasters, and the overall atmosphere and quality were good. However, yogurt had run out by around 7:30 a.m., and I felt that adding more variety to the side dishes and improving the color balance of the salad selection would make it even better.While there are some minor areas for improvement, overall it was a very satisfying stay including the room, large public bath, in-house Facilities, and meals. If I have another chance to stay near Kitakami Station, I would like to use this Hotel again.

Although my stay was short due to work, both check-in and check-out were smooth using the machines, and the amenities were more than sufficient, making it very comfortable. I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the open and airy restaurant. Since I arrived late, there was nowhere to buy drinks or food other than the vending machines, which made me a little uneasy. However, I appreciated that the vending machines were well stocked.Above all, having a large public bath at a comfortable temperature allowed me to relax and ease my travel fatigue. The room also had a bathtub, and I thought it was wonderful to have both options available.Thank you very much.
