Miyako City Tokyo Takanawa

I stayed for one night starting on Saturday.There is a covered walkway along the building from the station to very near the Hotel, so it’s fairly easy to get around even on rainy days.The lemonade in the guest lounge was pleasantly tart, blue, and delicious, though it felt a bit limited that only donuts and rice crackers were available.It may be ideal as a casual regular stay.

The Room and windows were a bit small, but the room facing the national highway offered a distant view of Rainbow Bridge and trains below. Since this is Shinagawa Station, it was especially fun to watch the constant flow of different trains—JR lines such as the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line, plus Shinkansen and limited express trains, and even the monorail heading toward Rainbow Bridge.As a top-floor Room perk, amenities included a coffee maker and two sets of basic skincare items, which was great. The coffee maker also came with green tea and black tea, all very tasty.Breakfast felt standard with no major highs or lows. There wasn’t a huge variety, but there was fruit such as Hami melon, and it was properly sweet, which left a good impression.Since we drove, we were worried about parking, but the Takanawa Gateway City parking lot across the street is very large, and even on Saturday we had no trouble finding a space. The parking area is divided into North and South to match the buildings; for this Hotel, South is closest. You can’t enter or exit during nighttime hours, but 24-hour parking for 2,500 yen in this location felt like an excellent deal. Thanks to that, after checkout we were able to leave our luggage with the Hotel and enjoy sightseeing around Tokyo at a relaxed pace starting from Takanawa Gateway Station.
