Auberge Kiyosato: Restaurant & Hotel to Savor the Blessings of Yatsugatake

We stayed during the Obon holiday period.We fully enjoyed the wood-fired cuisine and plenty of delicious wine.We were surprised to be served two fish dishes and two meat dishes, but the vegetables were exceptionally good and felt like the star of the meal.The by-the-glass wines were also selected to match each dish, and we were very satisfied.We could also enjoy Suntory Hakushu, making this an unbeatable place for food and drinks.The Room has cute interior decor, but it has a unit bath and only minimal amenities.Rather than luxury in the Room, you’ll feel fulfilled by relaxing over great meals and enjoying the Facility’s wonderful outdoor living space.Thanks to the local climate it was very cool, making it comfortable even in summer.There is a picture-book museum nearby as well as chocolate shops, and if you go a little farther you can visit a whisky distillery and a sake brewery, so sightseeing is enjoyable too.

We visited as a couple for the first time. They kindly accommodated our food preferences, and the taste was exceptional. The Room was clean, fresh, and very comfortable to stay in. After dinner, we enjoyed fruit wine and marshmallows by the bonfire, creating a wonderful memory of the highland night. We would love to visit again!
