Sansou Warabino

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless.Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. Thank you very much.

I ended up making a last-minute trip to Sanso Warabino, a place I had been hoping to stay at for a long time. I was traveling from Beppu, and they came to pick me up at the station and also provided Shuttle Service to the restaurant for dinner. During the ride, a polite male staff member kindly answered all of our questions throughout. Warabino had an even larger and more beautiful garden than in the photos, with separate cottages scattered around it, and our Room surrounded by greenery almost made us feel like we were abroad.The main highlight for me—the free-flowing hot spring bath—was spacious, very clean, and I soaked in it countless times (lol). The amenities were simple and well chosen. The refrigerator was stocked with mineral water, beer, and cider. Breakfast was excellent; each dish was delicious, and the grilled barracuda came out moist and perfectly cooked. Afterward we had fruit, homemade yogurt, and coffee—an extremely satisfying breakfast. Everyone we met—the Shuttle Service staff member, the breakfast staff, the foreign staff member at the shop, and the café staff—were all very pleasant. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance!
