Nagoya Kanko Hotel

We finally got to stay here!

Because my family home is in my hometown, I rarely get the chance to stay at a Hotel there, but I finally had the opportunity! It’s a classic Hotel, so some people may feel it’s old, but we found it elegant, and both the Room and the staff were full of hospitality. My husband especially loved how comfortable the bed was and how calm and relaxing the guest Room felt. The amenities, in-room items, and food were all thoroughly filled with local pride—it really makes you want to support them. Although it’s a classic Hotel, it was also great to see younger staff members playing an active role. Even though we arrived late, we were able to enjoy a warm meal in our Room through room service, which was truly appreciated after a long day. Full-service Hotels like this have become rarer these days, so I hope they keep it just as it is. My husband said that next time he definitely wants to try Nagoya specialties at the restaurant, the morning service breakfast set, and even the lounge’s pudding à la mode! Even as a couple nearing our 60th birthdays, this Hotel gave us far too many things we want to do. We’d love to stay again.
