Whenever I travel to Kyushu, I often stay at this hotel. The staff provide attentive, kind, and excellent service, and I always feel truly relaxed here. The food is delicious and the rooms are clean. I also appreciate the valet parking service, and the staff are always smiling—making it a very pleasant hotel. I would love to stay here again and again. Thank you very much.

I stayed for two nights after a long time. On the second night, I had the “Shinpu” course dinner at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent when I visited before, and that memory stayed with me—this time was just as satisfying. The dishes were truly delicious and outstanding, and the service was also impressive with wonderful hospitality. Maintaining such high quality in both cuisine and service must take great effort, but thanks to you, I was able to make another great new memory. Thank you to the chef and all the staff. Thank you as well to everyone outside the restaurant. I would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful time as a family. Thank you very much. We had stayed in Shima Onsen before, but this time we did a lot of research and chose Shima Tamura, which has both a Hotel and a Ryokan. There were so many baths that I wondered if we could possibly try them all, and it was exciting. Each one had its own character—such as a bath with the lovely scent of hinoki cypress and another where you can see a waterfall—and we truly enjoyed them. There was also a mixed-gender bath that I wanted to try, but you have to be completely nude in the changing area, so my family stopped me and I ended up being the only one who couldn’t bathe… I regretted not bringing a swimsuit. What also made me think, “If only I were really male…” were “Iraka-no-Yu” and “Mori no Kodama” on the 3rd floor by the river. Of course I couldn’t go in, but the men’s baths felt brighter and more open. From an opening above the women’s bath at “Iraka-no-Yu,” you can clearly see into the men’s bath! The rectangular hinoki pouring-bath (like a small rectangular hinoki tub) was wonderful as well. My husband said, “Iraka-no-Yu was my favorite!” The women’s bath was a bit dark, and it was disappointing that the hinoki pouring-bath (like a rectangular hinoki tub) had its lid on and couldn’t be used. At “Mori no Kodama,” the men’s bath is on the first floor with an unobstructed view of the waterfall right in front of you, while the women’s bath is on the second floor so it feels like viewing it from above. I wondered if rotating access might work… Of course, since “Mori no Kodama” on the men’s side can be seen from parts of the women’s side, I understand there may be difficulties—but if possible, I would have loved for women to enjoy that view up close too. We chose our Room in Suiryokan. It was spacious enough for our family to relax comfortably. Although we expected an older Accommodation, everything was very clean and well maintained, which made us happy. Often when an Onsen Accommodation has great baths, we end up disappointed with the Room—but at Tamura we could truly unwind. However, it was very disappointing that one of our Room bath towels smelled like cigarettes. Since I have asthma and am sensitive to cigarette odors, I left it in our Onsen basket (sorry). We used our own hand towel and bath towel instead. Other than that, everything was truly excellent. All staff members were kind and friendly, cheerful yet polite. Most of all—and this made us especially happy—even though we hadn’t mentioned my husband’s birthday anywhere beforehand, one of your dining staff thoughtfully arranged flowers in his sake cupware and offered heartfelt congratulations “from the proprietress,” doing everything she could to celebrate him. Thank you again very much. We would love to stay again many times in the future.

I was able to relax and unwind. The Onsen was great, the bed was comfortable, and the meals were excellent—I’m very satisfied. I’d love to stay again.

Although the weather was fine down below, up in the mountains it was foggy and rainy, so unfortunately even after taking the ropeway it was a completely white world. The open-air bath at the mountain Hotel was great. I was especially lucky to see Mt. Yari appear above the clouds from the mixed-gender open-air bath where you wear a bathing garment. Next time, I plan to come in October to observe the starry sky.

I chose the Onuma Prince Hotel for my friend visiting from afar. They were delighted, saying they could relax, fully enjoy the Onsen, and sleep well—it was wonderful. I’m grateful for the staff’s warm smiles and kind service.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days on a solo travel Plan, combining it with work. The best part was the meals. The sashimi and the Western-style dishes the next day were wonderfully varied, and I was very satisfied. I was also very pleased with the staff’s attentiveness. However, due to my work needs, I preferred a Room with an additional separate space, and I truly appreciated that you kindly accommodated my request by changing it for an additional fee. I think this is a very good Hotel. I will stay again. Thank you.

We were very satisfied with both the Room and the meals. We have stayed at various Ryokan and Hotels considered fairly upscale, but here we especially felt every staff member’s genuine care and dedication to ensuring guests are happy—it was a wonderful experience. My wife also said she would like to come again.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. Although the building is historic and compact, the cuisine—and even the tableware it is served on—are outstanding. The hot spring water comes from both the Yubatake source and the Ryokan’s own private source, each offering a distinct bathing experience. The staff are wonderful and exceptionally attentive. This is an Accommodation you will want to stay at again and again.

We stayed here for our first trip to show appreciation to my parents. Hoping my mother with rheumatoid arthritis could enjoy the Onsen, we chose a Room with a private bath. The food was excellent—especially the broth, which was outstanding, and I ended up drinking all of it with every dish. All of the staff were courteous, and even the cleaning staff stopped to greet us. My mother was very happy as well. We would like to stay here regularly. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a detached annex. The website said “indoor bath type,” and there were no photos, so we expected a regular bath—but it pleasantly exceeded our expectations. I really think you should post photos of that bath on the website! We originally planned to use the open-air bath, but ended up using the in-room bath the whole time (lol). Also, I believe it was fully booked, yet while we were in our Room we couldn’t hear any voices or noise from other guests at all. You can definitely feel its age, but as a Ryokan it had everything we were looking for. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and very generous in portion size. In particular, I made a Reservation for the half steamed chicken at dinner and it was quite an experience (in a good way). From the website photos I (wrongly) imagined a bone-in thigh, but it truly was “half.” It was very tasty, but you’ll need to save room in your stomach (especially women). When we asked, they even prepared the leftover steamed chicken so we could eat it in our Room! All staff members were wonderful—everyone was pleasant and welcoming. This quiet mountain Ryokan fulfilled everything I wanted: simply enjoying the Onsen and great food. Thank you very much.

We chose this Hotel after reading Reviews and checking the price. All of the staff were kind, and the check-in explanation was very easy to understand. The Room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable for a relaxing stay. We were very satisfied because we could enjoy both Taiko no Yu and the Hotel’s Onsen! After getting tired from walking up the hill before arriving at the Hotel, the cold welcome drink was perfect! Our whole family was happy with our stay. Thank you!

We usually travel as a couple a few times a year, mainly to Hakone, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as wonderful as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in time, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From the lovely commemorative photos for our celebration to the heartfelt message card with a photo, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are genuinely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was outstanding, and we were able to spend a truly relaxing time. Our assigned staff member was incredibly kind and always smiling; we enjoyed chatting with them, and our whole family was impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details. The guidance around the property—like a paradise far removed from everyday life—was also thorough and considerate, and everyone we met greeted us with warm smiles that put us at ease. The Room was very spacious and kept beautifully clean. The bed was also ideal for us—comfortable without sinking in or feeling overly soft. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations; I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, there was a private open-air Onsen bath exclusively for our Room with free-flowing water from 100% natural source spring water—no added water or heating—from the rare Dogashima Onsen source said to be “legendary,” so we could enjoy an Onsen soak anytime we liked. In addition, there is an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, which allowed our family to enjoy many different experiences together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care and full of creative ideas from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. In my experience so far, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here to celebrate my father-in-law’s 77th birthday. We brought three little kids with us, and they were thrilled with both the pool and the baths—they went in three times with the adults! The meals were also delicious, and we really got to enjoy Awaji Island. We were very satisfied. Next time, we’d like to visit in winter when fugu is at its best. We had so much fun that I don’t feel like going back to work…

Due to a typhoon, I called to change my dates at short notice, and they handled it very pleasantly. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. Best of all, we enjoyed the pool, and when I bought a T-shirt at the poolside café bar as a souvenir for myself, I was thrilled that drinks were unlimited. My child was delighted too—we really enjoyed the hotel. I’d love to visit again.

Everything was amazing. Since we traveled by train, it was close to the station, and the location was great—we didn’t get wet in the rain even without an umbrella. But enjoying the Onsen in the rain was also wonderful. Above all, the meals were delicious. I’d love to visit again on a sunny day. Thank you very much for your kind and attentive hospitality.

The bath was a natural Onsen, and it felt wonderful! However, the shower pressure was very weak, which was disappointing. The building is fully covered with tatami mats, which was great and dog-friendly. Overall, it feels a bit old, with steep stairs and a small toilet... But it was well cleaned and acceptable. The meals were served in the Room, so we could relax even with our dog. Everything was very luxurious and delicious!

The large public bath on the 14th floor was great. Both the male and female staff at the bath reception were kind and helpful. The woman at the breakfast venue on the 1st floor was calm, kind, and helped with serving the food. The dishes were all healthy and very good. The woman who assisted me at check-in was also kind and helpful.

We stayed in a detached Room. There were four of us, and it was very spacious with a beautiful interior—we were extremely satisfied. From the open-air bath on the 11th floor, we had a panoramic view of Lake Suwa. The meals also included free alcoholic beverages, and the staff were very attentive, so we had a truly wonderful time.
