Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We were thrilled to stay for the first time in a Japanese-style room with a jacuzzi, which is usually very hard to secure a Reservation, and my cousin and I were overjoyed. We could also admire the Mid-Autumn full moon through the large open picture window at the front—it was an unforgettable, moving moment. Throughout the property, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches everywhere: simple arrangements of wildflowers and fine pieces on display that we could enjoy as we walked to the restaurant and public bath. The moon-viewing décor in the lobby lounge, as well as the magnificent folding screen and large floral arrangement at the entrance, were all wonderful. Next time, I would love to visit with my husband and family, including my son and his wife. Thank you very much.

Every time I visit, the staff’s service is outstanding, and I had a truly satisfying stay. Even on my first visit, I was deeply impressed by the wonderful hospitality. The food was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable, but what stood out most was the staff’s attitude. It was clear that everyone is working together to make this hotel even better. I mistakenly entered the wrong code for the in-room safe—thank you for handling it so kindly despite the inconvenience. Thank you as well for taking photos for us every time we leave. You always make photo time so much fun—I feel like a model every time. Last time it was the head chef; this time it was the general manager. I look forward to seeing you again.

From the outside it is a simple Western-style building, but once you step inside, it feels grand and luxurious. The location is excellent: Lake Suwa spreads out right in front of you, and every room comes with its own open-air hot spring bath with free-flowing natural spring water. The water quality is wonderful, and every carefully selected furnishing is of exceptional quality. I also appreciated the in-room massage chair, and the coffee setup was great—you can grind the beans yourself and brew a delicious cup while enjoying the aroma. I worried that such a fluffy bed might hurt my back, but it was truly comfortable. The feather pillow was perfect as well; I slept soundly and woke up refreshed the next morning. With your stay, you also receive complimentary bathing tickets for Katakurakan. In addition, there are free-flow drinks available in the 3rd-floor lounge—soft drinks, rooibos tea, and even wine (just a tasting portion). Dinner can be enjoyed as a full course meal, and they selected local wines for pairing; it was an outstanding experience. I was also touched when the chef came to greet us personally. They were very flexible with the course menu as well—we were able to choose different courses for each of us, which really showed how accommodating this hotel is. Car-wash service—which has disappeared at many places—is still offered here, which impressed me again. Seeing my car polished to a shine the next morning genuinely made me happy. I have stayed at many renowned hotels and ryokan over the years, but receiving this level of service at this price point makes this an easy choice for my go-to hotel from now on. There are so many more memorable moments that I could not possibly write them all here—but I hope everyone experiences it for themselves and discovers what makes this hotel so special. It’s rare to enjoy this level of cuisine, hot springs, and service at this price, and the garden is also wonderful. The facilities are impeccably clean. It stands out even among Japan’s luxury ryokan.

Dear Kamon Team, To celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary, we stayed here for the first time, choosing your Accommodation based on Reviews around the Hakone area—and it turned into the best anniversary we could have hoped for. My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received impeccable hospitality in every way. Starting with the attendant whose wonderful smile looked after us, every member of staff was exactly as described in the Reviews—flawless in their manners and attentive to even the smallest details. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, creating an exceptional sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the wide selection of stylish women’s yukata—and it felt almost too wonderful to receive a cute drawstring pouch filled with amenities as well. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, thoughtful touches awaited us at dinner: a framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decoration, chopstick rests marked with celebratory characters, sekihan served in an adorable bowl with “good fortune” written on it—and even a commemorative gift of a ceramic tumbler set. The dinner course itself was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, with staging that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of everyone in the kitchen team throughout. Of course, there was nothing to fault—the taste, portions, hot/cold balance, and perfectly timed serving and clearing were all impeccable. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels every year for our anniversary, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home we couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality together. We would love to return again—thank you very much in advance when we do. The cuisine, Room, Onsen, and service were all excellent. It truly made us want to come back! At the end of our summer vacation, we made wonderful memories here and felt motivated to work hard again. We have stayed at other Accommodations in Ikaho several times, but Kogure is the best. Please continue your warm hospitality and bring comfort to many more guests.

This time, my spouse and I traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with our two sons and stayed in Kurokawa Onsen. The atmosphere of the entire Onsen town was very calm—quiet, charming, and a wonderful place to relax at a leisurely pace. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Ryokan staff were kind and attentive, and the Room was clean and comfortable. It was a very satisfying stay for our whole family and one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Kumamoto. We highly recommend this Onsen destination for family trips as well.

As soon as we passed through Hyakurakuso’s gate, a staff member came out to greet us with a warm, welcoming smile. I had been wanting to visit this ryokan for its cave bath for a long time, and I was finally able to make it. The bath we had been looking forward to was wonderful, and the meals were also outstanding—every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. What made us especially glad we stayed here was the genuine care and attentiveness of the staff. We were able to enjoy a relaxing, unhurried time away from everyday life.\nWe would love to visit again.

It’s a bit far from Tokyo, but I’m truly glad we stayed here! The property was very clean, and the lounge had plenty of drinks—my excitement started the moment we arrived. For dinner, we ordered horse sashimi and a three-sake tasting set separately, and it was amazing. Highly recommended. Breakfast was also delicious across the board. The Onsen was relaxing since it was always empty whenever we went (not just the private one), and we were also able to use the baths at a larger affiliated Hotel, which made us very satisfied. The Room was comfortable, and I slept soundly. Above all, the warm hospitality from all the staff made us feel at ease. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

This was my first stay in 50 years since visiting with my family as a child. The main building, full of fond memories, was wonderful, and the views and facilities in the new wing where we stayed were excellent. We also enjoyed the delicious dishes made with local ingredients, making it a truly memorable summer getaway. It’s very far from home, but I hope to return someday.

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were extremely courteous, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. They also kindly helped with a birthday surprise, which made our daughter very happy and turned it into a truly memorable birthday. The room had a calm atmosphere, and we were able to relax and enjoy the hot spring in the in-room bath. The hot spring in the large public bath also had a great view and was very refreshing. Every dish was delicious, and we loved the beautiful presentation that reflected the season. It was enjoyable to look at as well, and we were able to take our time over the meal. We are truly glad we chose this place for such an important day—our daughter’s birthday. It was a wonderful inn that made us want to stay again on another special occasion.

I stayed for one night to relax at the hot spring facilities and the hotel. The hot springs offered both lukewarm and hot baths, so I could soak in the lukewarm bath at a leisurely pace and truly unwind. From my room, I could see USJ, and it was fun to watch the staff at work and the roller coasters in motion without ever getting bored. The room was well soundproofed, making it pleasantly quiet. This was my second stay, and it was just as moving as the first. From every part of the property—the lobby, restaurant, on-site café, and of course the guest rooms, in-room semi-open-air baths, and the large public bath—you can enjoy wonderful views of East Izu’s greenery and the ocean. The lounge also offers excellent complimentary services such as free drinks, and you can even enjoy table tennis, which I personally love. Soaking your feet in the spacious courtyard footbath while listening to lovely background music is another truly relaxing moment. It may not be highlighted much on the website, but for limited hours the on-site café also serves a variety of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for their warm and attentive service.

The room was spacious, and having two free-flowing hot spring baths made for a truly luxurious stay. The amenities were well stocked, which I think many women will appreciate. We also enjoyed using the massage chair and were able to fully relax. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again.

We stayed as a family of three with our 5-year-old son to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The hot springs and the meals were wonderful, and my husband was truly delighted. The summer-only outdoor pool was also spacious and refreshing, and our son loved it too. (It would be even more helpful if there were a clock by the poolside.) I also bought the original lotion “Silver Drops Nene” as a souvenir for myself, and it feels great—I highly recommend it. We purchased the original face masks as gifts. It was also impressive how each staff member responded promptly and with a smile. We were able to make wonderful family memories. Thank you very much.

This is the oldest hot spring in the San’in region, and it’s also a natural free-flowing Onsen—an absolute must for an Onsen enthusiast like me (laugh). The building does feel old because of its long history, but that’s part of its charm, and I hope it will continue for many years to come. The meals were a bit too much for me as an older guest; I would have preferred smaller portions with higher quality. The staff were wonderful. Thank you very much.

After staying here with my husband in July, we came back again so soon! We had a relaxing 2-night, 3-day stay. We stayed in a different Room this time, which felt fresh and new. The living room, Japanese-style room, and bedroom were all truly spacious and spotless—everything was so well maintained. Of course there are some fallen leaves from the trees, but the location is so wonderful that it didn’t bother us at all. My husband had apparently ordered champagne in advance, and it was perfectly chilled and waiting in our Room—we were thrilled!!! There were plenty of towels provided, and they kindly accommodated extra requests as well, so we enjoyed the sauna, pool, jacuzzi, and Onsen over and over again. We’re always grateful for the butler’s thoughtful care—this is truly the No.1 Accommodation for hospitality! We’ll definitely be back!

As a couple in our 40s, we visited to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday fatigue. We chose a Room with a balcony so we could relax and watch the sky… but across from us, the torn shoji screens of what seemed to be a Hotel that is no longer operating were visible… at night it felt a bit like a test of courage, so we couldn’t go out… lol. Other than that, the food and baths were wonderful, and there was absolutely no sense of crowds—choosing this small Accommodation was exactly the right decision. After dinner, we went to the riverside about a 5-minute walk away, and it happened to be firefly season. We were both thrilled to see real fireflies for the first time…! The whole village was quiet, and compared with Tokyo it was cool in the mornings and evenings. In the morning we enjoyed a gentle-on-the-body, delicious breakfast. We truly felt refreshed from the bottom of our hearts. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

I chose this Hotel because I like the SOIL brand, and it was an even better stay than I expected! I really loved the exterior that blends into the scenery of the Nagato Yumoto area, and the interior design that seems to value natural colors. The staff kept a comfortable level of distance, and I also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The sauna on the top floor had just the right humidity, so it didn’t feel too intense even when staying in longer than usual despite the temperature. Relaxing while listening to higurashi cicadas may end up being this summer’s highlight!
