We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Overall, it was comfortable. The bath on the 7th floor had a fairly lukewarm tub, which was great because soaking in it after the hotter tub let us enjoy a longer time without overheating. On the other hand, the bath on the 1st floor has only four washing stations. While there are multiple tubs, most are so small that they barely fit one or two people, so I wouldn’t really recommend it unless you visit on a quiet day or specifically want to try several small baths. Meals (both breakfast and dinner) changed between the first and second night, so even with a Multiple Night Stay we didn’t get bored. You can enjoy many different dishes in small portions, and there’s also a special, creative feel to them. Everything was tasty, but not so impressive that it’s worth setting your expectations too high. The fish dishes were average; the meat dishes were very good. It was also nice that you can order Fukushima sake and other drinks for an additional fee. All staff were warm and welcoming. The Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We could see nature through large windows, and the amenities/Facility were well equipped: a large desk with a sturdy chair, a powerful hair dryer, a full-length mirror (stand mirror), tea and coffee, etc. However, it was disappointing that the desk drawer hit the chair armrests making it hard to pull up close to the desk, and that the light on the stand mirror had dead batteries. Since we stayed during Obon season there were many families with children, so it may not suit those looking for a quiet adults-only atmosphere. Also, since it said “no cleaning unless requested” for Multiple Night Stay guests we didn’t ask for anything—but staff still entered our Room to replace amenities without warning us first. This part of their guidance is unclear. There are hardly any shops nearby such as convenience stores, so it’s not ideal if you plan to sightsee only in the immediate area. It seems better suited either for going out toward the station area or for relaxing at this Accommodation. We didn’t use it ourselves, but they also appear to offer a free Shuttle Service bus to another affiliated Onsen.

Whether in the lobby, guest room, restaurant, or large public bath, we enjoyed breathtaking ocean views throughout our stay. The warm hospitality and many unique services won us over right away—it was our first visit, but we quickly became fans. We’d love to return again soon.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. We were touched by everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness.\nIt was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again someday.

I gifted my 92-year-old mother an Onsen trip for her birthday. The accommodation had a very charming atmosphere, and the Onsen, with its high-concentration sulfur spring, was excellent. My elderly mother enjoyed soaking in the bath four times. The meals were also delicious. This time we stayed for just one night, but next time we hope to have a multiple night stay. The staff were kind and warmly welcomed us. We created wonderful memories. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for the wonderful time the other day. We had originally planned to visit with our dog, but as our dog was unable to come, we visited as a family instead. Despite issues on our side with the Reservation, your staff responded kindly and courteously—thank you very much. Even without our dog, you warmly welcomed our family stay, which made us very happy. The Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro feel while still being very stylish and lovely. This time we stayed in the “Japanese Twin with Terrace” Room—tatami flooring, low beds, and a deck terrace. What impressed me most was how comfortable the bed was! I was told it’s a Nishikawa Muatsu mattress, and it truly felt amazing—I slept unbelievably well. The pillow was also excellent, and I completely fell in love with the bedding. I’d like to use the same one at home, so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me which type of Muatsu it is. The Onsen was wonderful as well. All three private baths had their own unique charm and were beautiful. The large public bath was also very relaxing—I ended up going in many times during our stay. As soon as you soak in the Onsen, your body warms up right away. The water feels soft, and your skin becomes moisturized and silky smooth. I also loved that bath towels were provided at the baths, so you can always use a clean one. Truly excellent therapeutic bathing. Unfortunately it rained this time—but because of that, we were able to take our time at the Accommodation, soak in the Onsen slowly, and enjoy doing nothing. We chose a Plan with 12:00 checkout, so we didn’t have to rush in the morning and could enjoy the Onsen until the very end. And then—the meals. Absolutely no complaints. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It was a meal where you can truly enjoy every course for what it is. And something I’ll never forget: draft Yebisu beer! After it arrived, the foam gradually rose up into a rich head—it looked delicious even before tasting. And when I tried it… it really was incredible. I honestly thought there aren’t many places where draft beer tastes this good—it moved me. This “Joshu Beef & Gunma’s Blessings / Three Free Private Open-Air Baths / 12:00 Checkout / A Nostalgic Holiday” Plan was absolutely perfect for me. Shima Onsen in the rain is wonderful too. Soak in the Onsen, eat well, drink well—and sleep incredibly well. In this charming retro Accommodation, I had an amazing time that relaxed both my mind and body. All of the staff were pleasant as well, and the overall atmosphere throughout the Accommodation felt very comfortable. We felt great from start to finish during our stay. The Onsen, meals, bedding—and above all else—the warm hospitality from everyone on staff. Everything felt so comfortable that this is an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again.

We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. It reminded us to feel grateful once again for being alive—being allowed to live—here and now. Thank you very much. This is a highly recommended Accommodation.

This is a wonderful Hotel where you can fully enjoy the great nature of Lake Akan. The woody interior seems to have been recently renovated and is very relaxing. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby, and luggage storage is done by choosing your own code and using a locker. We splurged on a nicer Room, and it had an outstanding view, plenty of space, and even a microwave. Breakfast was excellent—true to Hokkaido—with not only seafood but also delicious pizza and hamburgers, plus smoothies. We also heard we could use the baths at the main Tsuruga Group building, so we went. There is a shuttle bus, but it’s about a 7-minute walk along the lakeside as well. The baths at the main building were incredibly luxurious.

I stayed here on a business trip. I arrived a bit early, but the Room had already been cleaned, so I was able to check in slightly ahead of time, which made everything afterward go smoothly. The Room was spacious and clean. Thank you very much.

The website highlighted the dining, and indeed both dinner and breakfast were as beautiful and delicious as expected. The service was attentive, making our stay very comfortable. The view from the terrace is well worth seeing, so don’t miss it.

A relaxing trip for a couple in our 50s. The bath was very pleasant, and the complimentary Yakult after bathing was excellent. The meals were generous, and the eel kamameshi at the end was delicious. If it weren’t for the loud noise from the in-room refrigerator and the extremely loud motorcycles at night, we think this would be an outstanding Accommodation.

Although I was traveling alone, I stayed in a twin Room! The moment I opened the door, I couldn’t help saying, “So spacious!” The high ceilings and many mirrors made it feel even larger. The two-seater sofa by the window also had plenty of space. Since it’s a long-established Hotel, the overall atmosphere is a bit retro, but that actually gave it a sense of elegance and calm that I really liked. I’d love to stay again.

I have stayed here several times. This time, due to my Reservation, I had to change Rooms partway through my stay, but the staff kindly arranged everything to minimize any inconvenience. At the restaurant and in other situations as well, everyone was friendly and welcoming, so I had a very pleasant stay. There were also a pool, festival-style games, quizzes, and other events—my child was absolutely delighted. I also visited the rooftop for the first time this trip; the view was wonderful, and it made for a refreshing morning. Almost nothing to complain about! However, it would be even better if there were an ice machine on each floor.

I always stay at this Hotel. This time, I stayed with my older sister’s family and my younger sister to celebrate my retirement. Thank you, as always, for your very kind service. The meals were also delicious.

All staff are kind and welcoming, and the “welcome home” atmosphere feels wonderfully comforting. Dinner and breakfast are both delicious. You can fully enjoy the luxury of having the view from the open-air bath in your Room all to yourself. I would love to visit again.

The welcome drinks and well-stocked amenities bar made me feel happy as soon as I arrived. The view from the Room was wonderful, and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and I was very satisfied. There are also sightseeing spots nearby, so it was great to enjoy them along with my stay. We visited with my son’s family. Traveling with our 8-month-old baby, we had some concerns, but even though we made Reservations for two Rooms on different dates, the staff kindly arranged for us to dine together and showed thoughtful care in many situations, which made our stay truly enjoyable. Thank you very much—it became a wonderful memory. My son’s family also said they would like to come again, and we hope to visit again as well.

I stayed here on a solo trip and had a wonderful experience. The Facility and amenities were even more well-equipped than I expected, and I was able to relax as if I were at home. The staff were also very courteous. It was raining heavily, but they lent me an umbrella and their thoughtful care felt truly warm. At the same time, they maintained a comfortable sense of distance—not too close—which made the stay even more pleasant and made me want to come back. On the night of my stay, there was a local kagura performance, and I really enjoyed experiencing the myths. I felt very lucky that it happened to be on that day. This time I booked No Meals Included, so next time I’d love to try the meals as well. With high expectations for the food too, it’s an all 5-star rating from me.
