This was my first time using it. I have used nearby chain Hotels several times, but I chose this one because it is closer to my destination. It was very good. Above all, the response of the front desk staff was excellent. Also, I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast as they were delicious. If there is an opportunity, I would like to use it again.

The Room was clean, spacious, and quiet on a high floor, making for a very comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were very knowledgeable and handled everything appropriately (such as arranging a taxi), which was a great help. I visit Okinawa often, so I’d like to make this my regular Accommodation. However, the uphill slope from the station is quite steep and it’s a bit of a walk, so next time I plan to send my luggage ahead.

1. Room: Spotlessly clean, down to the smallest details From the moment you step inside, a calm Japanese ambiance surrounds you. The room was beautifully maintained and thoroughly cleaned, with a refreshing sense of cleanliness in every corner, making it truly comfortable. The views of nature and the hot spring town from the window were soothing as well—I was able to relax right after arriving. 2. Dining: Exceptional cuisine showcasing seasonal flavors Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying! Each meal featured plenty of fresh local ingredients and seasonal specialties, and you can tell every dish is prepared with great care. Beautifully presented and full of flavor, it was delicious enough to leave both my stomach and my heart completely satisfied. 3. Hot Springs: You’ll feel it immediately—silky-smooth skin after bathing When it comes to Yumeryutan, the hot springs are a must. The water is soft and gentle on the skin, and as soon as I stepped out of the bath I could feel how smooth and supple my skin had become. Soaking in the open-air bath while listening to the river’s gentle flow was pure bliss—so relaxing you’ll want to stay in longer.

I have stayed here many times. I usually choose an ocean-side Room with a bed, but this time I tried a tatami Room. The tatami Room has shoji screens on the windows but no blinds, so it was bright outside at night and I couldn’t sleep well. That was the only drawback.

Since we stayed on a Friday, it was very affordable, and the top-floor view was great—my elderly father was delighted. The Room was clean, and since we only needed a place to sleep, it was more than enough. Being in the city, we expected parking to be expensive, but it only cost 1,100 yen, which was a great deal. The front desk staff were very polite. However, because there were many international guests and check-in took time at reception, I think it would be helpful if Japanese guests had the option of self check-in.

We were satisfied with the service, the room, and breakfast. The shower pressure was a little weak, and the paper cups near the washing machine and vending machines were difficult to take out.

There is no large public bath here, but that wasn’t an issue. If you prefer a large public bath, you can use the main building, about a 5-minute walk away. I didn’t use it because I didn’t want to sweat in the heat, and the in-room bath was more than enough. The meals were also very delicious and stylish. Above all, the location is outstanding—our Room was a corner room, and right in front of us was the torii gate of Oiso Maejinja Shrine. We arrived at night so we couldn’t see much, but when we woke up in the morning we were truly amazed. We could watch the sunrise through the torii gate from our Room. Guests from other Hotels also seemed to gather on the sidewalk below with their cameras ready. This may be the best location among Hotels in this area.

I stayed for one night in a single room, and the room was spacious and relaxing. There was a small but nice large public bath, and it was great that I could use it from 6:00 a.m. Breakfast was buffet-style with all the standard options, which was good. Since checkout the next morning was at 7:30, they handled everything quickly in a short time, and I was satisfied.

Pros: - It’s a reasonably priced Hotel, but as you’d expect from the Banyan Tree chain, the service felt comparable to a high-end Hotel. Even though I stayed only one night, the front desk staff remembered my name, and every staff member was quick and professional in their manner. After checkout, I asked if they could keep some food refrigerated with my luggage, and they kindly agreed. - A shower-only setup may be a matter of preference, but since it was midsummer it was perfectly comfortable. If anything, it made the Room feel more spacious. - The tatami raised seating area is also very relaxing. I would have preferred floor cushions (zabuton) rather than regular cushions, but that may be aimed at international guests. Cons: (All minor points—nothing decisive) - The nearest station is Sanjo Keihan, so I wouldn’t say access to all of Kyoto is ideal (though the exit is right there, so it’s a great location if you plan to explore nearby areas). - The in-room TV remote has buttons for Netflix and other services, but the TV isn’t connected to the internet so you can’t use them—disappointing. - This is common in Ryokan-style setups, but the ceramic washbasin has a rough texture; when washing your face it can feel slightly painful if your fingers brush against it. - I used the spa; since it seems to be set up in renovated standard guest Rooms and you step out into the guest Room corridor from reception first, it may feel a bit less “special” or immersive. The treatment itself was very good.

We stayed with a total of seven guests—five adults and two young children—and everyone was able to relax comfortably throughout our stay. The luxurious, open layout was truly impressive, never once feeling cramped even with this many people. True to the “self auberge” concept, shopping for fresh local ingredients and taking our time cooking them over the lava stone hearth was an exceptional experience. It wasn’t just about cooking—we enjoyed a truly indulgent time gathered around the fire, relaxing and chatting at our own pace. The private sauna was also outstanding; after reaching peak relaxation, the panoramic view of the town from the elevated terrace was breathtaking. The interior design, amenities, and tableware were all thoughtfully curated down to the smallest details, making it feel like one night simply wasn’t enough. Both adults and children were completely satisfied, and we will definitely be back again.

The rooms and facilities are small but provide a satisfying accommodation experience. The dedication of the staff is evident. This is my go-to accommodation in Takamatsu. There is a system to check the congestion in the building via TV, but there is a significant delay in reflecting the crowd status of the baths. The onsen is pleasant, but be prepared for some crowding.

I used to stay at Hotel Route-Inn Oshu every summer when visiting home, but this time I made a Reservation at Kanegasaki. The Room felt more spacious than in Oshu, and my three-night stay was very comfortable. It was also great that I could check how busy the restaurant and public bath were from my Room, and the ample parking made my stay worry-free. I would like to stay with you again next year. I visited with my 4-year-old daughter. We checked in at 4:00 PM, let her play in the kids’ area right away, and had dinner in our room since bringing food into the room was allowed. The room and bath were both very clean, so both my child and I were very satisfied. The amenities were well stocked, and the children’s items in particular featured cute character designs that made my daughter happy. There was also a drink bar on the first floor, and for breakfast the egg-over-rice (tamago kake gohan) was especially delicious. The staff’s service was also great. It’s close to the zoo, so I highly recommend it. My daughter said she wants to go again.

We stayed for three nights as a family of four. It’s a little away from Kokusai-dori, and a taxi costs about 600–1,000 yen. There is a supermarket about 200 meters away, open until midnight, which is very convenient. Free tea and coffee are available in the lobby. The Room was spacious enough, with two beds and a tatami area. The hours are limited (17:00–22:00 and 6:00–9:00), but there is also a large public bath, which was great for washing off the day’s sweat. There was also an ice machine. The Hotel staff were kind, and we had a comfortable stay.

It was my second stay because I loved how clean and spacious it is, and how relaxing it feels—just like home. The front desk staff are also very pleasant. A Hotel where you can stay as if you live there! Whenever I come to Yokogawa, I’d like to stay here every time.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The food was delicious, and we could see the ocean from our Room, which made it very relaxing. We stayed with our elderly dog, so we may have caused some inconvenience, but they were kind to us until the end. Thank you very much.

Our second stay, following last year. Last time we chose a no-meals Plan and brought meat, vegetables, and other ingredients from home to enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. The terrace had a large gas grill, plus a table and chairs always set up. It was pouring rain outside, but the space was completely sheltered from wind and rain, so we could BBQ comfortably as if we were indoors. This time, since we planned to spend dinner with friends’ family in Omura City, we chose a breakfast-only Plan. Right after arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us and provided careful guidance and explanations about the Facility, while our dog enjoyed playing ball in the outdoor yard. Last time we booked a Room with a large garden but couldn’t use it due to heavy rain, so this time we chose one without a garden. Even so, there was still enough yard space for ball play, and there was also a dog run next to the Accommodation building. In addition to an indoor hinoki bath in the Room, there was even an open-air bath, so we could relax in the baths after returning from dinner and again in the morning. For breakfast, more than enough ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator, along with plenty of seasonings and tableware—so we made a luxurious morning meal at our preferred time and in our own way. For reference: my daughter had cheese toast with grilled bacon plus a fresh vegetable salad, yogurt, and soup; my husband had hot sandwiches with fried eggs plus salad and coffee—everyone ate what they liked and was very satisfied. One note: there were thorny plants growing in parts of the yard and dog run; it can be dangerous unless removed before letting dogs play. We ended up trimming some ourselves while saying it would be nice if it were mowed shorter overall. Even so, it’s an excellent Facility—we will definitely stay again.

Stayed by car Due to the typhoon, we arrived early at 2:30 PM, but we were able to enter the Room. It is close to the station, so it was also convenient when traveling by train. The free breakfast was satisfying and very good. We booked a twin Room; it was a bit small, but since we only needed it for sleeping, it wasn’t a problem.

We stayed in a detached Room with our dog during a long holiday. We came without high expectations, but were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed at various Hotels and so-called luxury Accommodations, but this was one of the very few places where we truly felt they excel at creating generous time and space. We were able to spend our stay feeling deeply fulfilled. The dog run was also more than sufficient—spacious enough that even a large dog had no issues. Both the evening course meal and breakfast were truly wonderful, and we were completely satisfied with the delicious food. If you stay here, I highly recommend trying the meals. The staff’s attentiveness is also excellent, and even if you visit with small children, they will make sure you can enjoy your mealtime with peace of mind. This is one of the few Accommodations that makes us want to return. Next time, in winter...

The sea right in front of us wasn’t too crowded, so we were able to relax and take our time. Breakfast was delicious as well—highly recommended for anyone looking for a laid-back stay.
