Yumori Takumi-an Yamakawa

The hot spring water is simply wonderful. I soaked in the Onsen at night and again in the morning, and was amazed at how smooth my skin felt.The Accommodation staff were kind and supportive, offering helpful advice and speaking gently to our children, which made us feel truly welcomed.Dinner hot pot came with more meat than we could finish. The menu featured many local specialties, which adults enjoyed, though some dishes seemed a bit challenging for children.The Facility has a sense of history, but it is fully air-conditioned, so we stayed comfortably cool.

We stayed here on a sisters’ trip—our second visit. Since it was my sister’s birthday, they kindly provided complimentary wine and beer to celebrate. We truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Dinner featured two hot pot dishes: Yonezawa beef sukiyaki and pork shabu-shabu. Both meats were tender and delicious. The side dishes were also made with seasonal ingredients, such as butterbur sprout tempura, and every small plate was excellent. We also enjoyed the Onsen, as we could try different types of water quality. The open-air bath was great as well. It would have been even better if there had been a place to rehydrate immediately after bathing. Breakfast was satisfying too, with Yamagata specialties like imoni stew, tamakon (konjac balls), and pickles. We look forward to staying again in the future.
