Rakuten STAY VILLA Kamogawa

My wife, our dog, and I stayed in a suite this time, and it was excellent. Next time, we’d like to try a different villa. The only slight disappointment was finding one snack wrapper left in the room, but everything else was very good!

I stayed in Building D for two nights. The Room was new, spacious, and clean.The bed was also large and very comfortable.The meals were delicious and overall satisfaction was high, but unfortunately there were some issues:① The dishwasher was broken and stopped mid-cycle, so we couldn’t use it.② When I opened the closet to get an extra sheet, it had gotten wet due to a roof leak.③ There was an issue with the keypad lock, and I received a call right before check-in saying it would be changed to a physical key. That itself couldn’t be helped, but having only one key was inconvenient. Also, when trying to complete check-in/check-out procedures using the key code, errors occurred and it took extra time.④ Since this was a Multiple Night Stay, I was told housekeeping would only replace towels and collect trash; however, the trash was not collected in reality, the bins overflowed, and we had to dispose of it ourselves.⑤ We were told parking was limited to one vehicle. When I called in advance to ask if there were any other places to park, I was told no and advised to use a nearby paid parking lot. However, there actually was temporary parking available and many guests were using it. After calling again, I was told we could park there—so we moved our car after paying for several hours at the paid lot.Since there is no front desk and everything is handled remotely by phone (like a call center), it felt like they didn’t fully understand on-site conditions or weren’t sharing information smoothly with the property.Despite these issues, the place itself was spacious and nice.
