  We were looking for ...

  We were looking for a vacation rental close to the ocean with great views, dog-friendly policies, a heated pool, and a sauna—and this was the only place that met all of those requirements. We stayed for 2 nights over New Year’s with 8 adults and 2 dogs. The website and brochure are very informative, but before our visit we had a few questions. However, we received no response at all to our inquiry emails or LINE messages. After calling the toll-free number several times, we finally got through. When I asked about amenities, I was told rather bluntly, “Did you read the brochure? Other than what’s written there, there’s nothing.” To be honest, we were quite worried about the management before arrival. Once we arrived, though, the location was truly amazing—on a hill right in front of the sea with plenty of privacy. From both the spacious living room and bedrooms you get an uninterrupted ocean view. The garden is equipped with a heated pool, fire pit stand, and sauna. The toilets/bathroom areas, kitchen, and linens were all new and clean, and even the amenities were very stylish. The heated pool was properly warmed and could be enjoyed anytime like an Onsen. The sauna is wood-fired so it only reaches about 40–50°C (104–122°F), but there is also a cold plunge bath and warm bath—perfect for relaxing while watching the sunset. A few requests: The refrigerator needs to be larger. If you buy groceries for 8 people for 2 nights, there isn’t enough space. Also, not having a dishwasher was tough. Some items we brought because they weren’t listed in the brochure—such as paper towels, aluminum foil, and plastic wrap—were actually provided. The brochure said there would be 18 bottles of water; they turned out to be 350 ml bottles (so we were glad we bought extra). Also note that there are stairs from the gate to the entrance door (no direct driveway access), so carrying large luggage in can be quite difficult. Although it says up to 18 guests can stay here at once، around 8 adults feels like a comfortable number. There are no supermarkets or convenience stores within walking distance، but we were able to order additional drinks via Uber from Lawson، which was reassuring. This was an outstanding vacation rental where you can truly enjoy resort vibes while staying in Japan. It’s rare to find this kind of location here، so we’d love to come back again in warmer seasons.

  Highly satisfied

  The living room was spacious, there were plenty of bedrooms, and there was a large TV. We also enjoyed the pool, sauna, and BBQ facilities—so we had a great time without having to travel abroad. It was disappointing that the kitchen knife wasn’t sharp enough to fillet fish. We would like to stay again.
