  It was comfortable.

  The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

  1. About Customer Service 2. Same-Day Price and Reservation Price

  The foreign female staff at the front desk was surprisingly kind. Since I had not reserved breakfast and was covering the accommodation costs for hosting purposes, I consulted with her about arranging breakfast for the next morning. The young Asian woman worked hard to accommodate my request, and our guest was satisfied. I felt truly grateful. One more thing, the price on the day of stay was 10,000 yen cheaper for two people compared to the price during a time-limited sale at the time of reservation. It felt somewhat unreasonable.

  The most advanced Hilton Hotel overall.

  I have stayed at various Hilton chain Hotels so far, and I was able to stay without any issues, which made me very satisfied. It was evident in many aspects that they thoroughly study their customers.

  What is the Kyoto Prize...?

  A card placed in the Room had something like a lottery attached, and when I peeled it off, it said "Kyoto Prize." When I offered to exchange it for a gift with the staff, I was given a 2000 yen discount ticket for meals usable at Hilton group (only when spending over 10,000 yen). Also, I was made to apply for a travel lottery (requiring all personal information to be filled out). It felt like they just pushed an unusable ticket on me and extracted my personal information. What exactly is the Kyoto Prize... The Hotel was generally new and beautiful, but the room cleaning was not great. There were hairs left behind and small areas were dirty; also, there was a lot of dust on the nightwear which I didn't like.
