The Room’s location ...
The Room’s location and the open, airy space on the 10th floor were pleasant. However, the space felt a bit small for the number of guests. The bath on the top floor itself was open and very comfortable, but the changing room floor was soaking wet, which was unpleasant. Our guest room was on the 8th floor, but since the floors above were used for reception and other facilities, it was noisy until late at night with sounds like chairs being moved.

I wanted to have coffee in the morning.
Although there was a kettle in the Room, there was no coffee provided. When I asked at the front desk in the morning, I was told that coffee could be purchased at the café next to reception only after 12:00. They said, “There is a café inside AMAZING SPOT,” but it wasn’t available outside business hours, so I ended up unable to get coffee in the morning. In the end, I searched on my own and went to Starbucks at the station (which was actually nice). You don’t need to provide free nuts—please make it possible to enjoy complimentary drip coffee in the Room. The night view and the infinity-style large public bath were wonderful, but this one issue with coffee was disappointing.

Please make sure you understand the concept before booking your stay.
Arrived at 20:30 with children. First, we couldn’t figure out which entrance was the correct one. By chance, other guests (Asian) were also lost. When we stepped outside, there was another entrance next door with small letters saying “Guests Only.” If so, why not put a sign at the obvious-looking entrance saying “Guests: Please use the entrance next door”? After finally getting into the elevator, we still didn’t know which floor Reception was on, got off on the wrong floor, and wandered around. We were exhausted from traveling; it was dark at night; our luggage was heavy; and we were searching while carrying children—yet someone who seemed to be a shop employee only glanced at us. I was doing my best to hold back my frustration. When we returned to the elevator, there was text saying “Reception 9F” (in English). I wish there had been a kind additional note in Japanese as well. Even after arriving on the 9th floor, it wasn’t immediately clear where Reception was. Just like the casual interior design, the staff’s clothing and service were also casual. The Room felt casual too. There’s no desk, so there’s no chair (I overheard an elderly guest saying they had no chair to sit on while watching TV). There is also no phone. There were only two tissues in the tissue box by the sink, and there was a rolled-up piece of lint under the bed—I questioned whether it had been properly cleaned. This time one person used a sofa bed, but making up the linens is self-service. We’re spending money and time to enjoy something out of the ordinary—so why am I doing this? My hands kept stopping as I put on the sheets. Breakfast had limited variety. They seem to promote noodles, but they looked like pasta (my partner was disappointed). When I asked at Reception about something I’d lost, since there was only one staff member present they left their post to check where lost items are stored—and that made me feel very uneasy about security at such a casual Reception setup. It’s new (about one month since opening), and because of its great location you get nice views. However, if you’re imagining standard Hotel-level service, you may find some things confusing or disappointing. I liked KAI before this stay; this experience taught me a lot—I’m going back to KAI instead.
