Delicious champagne and other drinks in the Gold Lounge.

The Gold Lounge guests were mostly Western families and other international visitors, which was nice. It was a quiet and elegant space. The seating was well spaced and not crowded, so it didn’t feel noisy or hectic. I think it’s the best club lounge among all the Hotels I’ve stayed at. However, there were no financiers that day, and fibers from the napkins stuck to my black clothes, which was a hassle to remove each time. Thank you to the staff at the driveway (their uniforms are stylish) for your kind, courteous, and smooth service, including valet parking. The Room had large windows with a beautiful view—wonderful. It wasn’t an anniversary stay, but the food/drinks and service in the Gold Lounge were excellent, making it a very satisfying stay.

    This was my first st...

This was my first stay. All of the meals were delicious, and I was very satisfied. The staff were friendly and kind. The Room was spacious with a wonderful view, and I was very happy with the facilities. On the other hand, since I booked a Plan that included access to Fairmont Gold, I expected the level of hospitality unique to a luxury Hotel, so I felt the service fell a bit short. First, when moving to the lounge for check-in, it was disappointing that no one offered to help with my luggage. What stood out most was the lack of overall guidance about on-site Facility and services. - It wasn’t clear how to use the spa or pool. - In the lounge, it wasn’t clear whether refills of food and drinks were available, or whether drinks listed on the menu could be ordered at any time (when I tried to order, I was told “this can’t be ordered at this time,” so I would have liked that noted from the start). - There were no skincare items such as toner or face wash in the Room (I couldn’t tell whether they are not provided by default or if they must be requested). There were many things I couldn’t understand without asking each time, and it was also frustrating that calls from my Room often didn’t go through easily. If your policy is not to provide paper information sheets, it would be helpful if more necessary information could be accessed via the in-room QR code. Because this is a Hotel in this price range, I came expecting a stress-free stay. The Room, meals, view, and staff interactions were all great overall—so I would be happy to see further improvements in service.

The bay view is truly breathtaking! My favorite Hotel.

I have stayed here several times. This time I stayed in the Fairmont Gold Suite King. Among the 88 m² Gold Suites, it was on the highest floor and offered both a bay view and a Rainbow Bridge view. The view from the veranda was simply breathtaking. Not only while relaxing, but even the brief moments moving around the Room felt like pure bliss. Outstanding. Even though I’m a repeat guest, both the Gold Lounge staff and Guest Relations provided wonderfully personal service—thank you very much. It was a very comfortable stay. The only disappointment is that Tōtsuji is closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you don’t dine here, you can’t truly experience what this Hotel is capable of! Of course, the pool, facilities, and Rooms are all excellent as well... I sincerely hope Sunday service for teppanyaki will return.

    Wonderful

Thanks to the warm hospitality of the Gold Lounge staff, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The pool area with its breathtaking views was also wonderful, and we fully enjoyed everything—scenery, dining, and relaxation. This time we stayed with relatives and had a great time at the Gold Lounge while enjoying champagne. Thank you for the wonderful memories. We would love to visit again.

Everything is of the highest standard.

We stayed on the Club Floor. The lounge staff were outstanding, and we truly felt their sincere effort to accommodate our requests as much as possible. We were initially told that late check-out wouldn’t be available that day, but they later adjusted things and extended our check-out time a little. Since we weren’t expecting it, we were very happy. Food in the lounge is served to order and brought to your seat. We were satisfied with both the quality and portion sizes. The afternoon tea savory items were exceptional, and everything was delicious. In comparison, the sweets felt hit-or-miss, and overall it was hard to say they were consistently great. There was a wide selection of alcohol and tea; in particular, black tea is served by the pot, so you can adjust the strength to your liking. There were also two types of champagne. During evening time, they will make cocktails based on your preferences, which made it fun to try different options and find favorites. It would be even better if there were non-alcoholic wine or sparkling options so non-drinkers could enjoy more as well. Many guests seemed to be international visitors, and even in the lounge we could hear various languages—it felt like being abroad. Everyone behaved well at the pool; there were children too, but none were shouting loudly, which suggested a generally considerate crowd. The Room was excellent—spaciousness and Facility aside, everything from towel replacement during turndown service to replenishing used items was fully satisfying. One disappointment was a pound cake we purchased—it was dry and not enjoyable at all. Perhaps it hadn’t been stored properly after being made in advance. As with the lounge offerings, sweets seem somewhat inconsistent. We hope this improves going forward.

We are very sorry to hear that.

    - A Different Sense of Time—Like an “Island” It took a long time before we were shown to our Room. Early check-in is supposed to be from 14:00. We arrived and checked in after 15:00, but were told the Room was still not ready. When I asked how much longer it would take, I was told “5 minutes,” so we waited on the sofa. However, even after 15 minutes there was no update, so I asked again and received the same answer: it still wasn’t ready. I understand early check-in may depend on availability, but by then it was already 15:30. If they could have given a realistic estimate, that would have been fine—but giving a temporary answer just to get through the moment was disappointing. In the first place, it’s rare not to be able to enter the Room at all; and even if that happens, staff should normally inform guests proactively how long it will take. If they couldn’t guide us within five minutes, they shouldn’t have left us waiting for fifteen without any update—surely they should come over and say something like “It will take about X more minutes.” If we had known from the start, we could have gone to see BLUE FRONT first and used our time freely. That was very disappointing. - The welcome fruit strawberries had only had the leaves pulled off; since the calyx remained attached, it had turned black. I didn’t expect this at a Hotel of this class—and since I always trim them properly myself when preparing them at home, I was genuinely shocked. - At dinner, we were guided to a Plan different from what we had reserved. It felt wrong, so I asked them to confirm again. The confirmation took quite some time as well, and during that period we were left waiting without even drinks. If they could resolve it quickly then confirming before taking drink orders makes sense—but if it takes time, I would have appreciated at least being offered drinks first. They kindly offered welcome drinks as an apology for not handling the Room guidance smoothly (which I appreciated), but even serving that first drink took a long time… There were dozens of empty glasses prepared in advance; champagne and wine were already chilled in coolers—so essentially all that remained was pouring them… why did it take so long? I almost wanted to say “If you’d like me to do it myself, I can,” but of course on only my second visit that wasn’t something I could do… After that as well, we ordered several kinds of wine each time ending up waiting with empty glasses for quite a while. The rest is in photos—the 1,000-character limit wasn’t enough.

Enjoy panoramic views of Tokyo through large windows in a Hotel designed for a relaxing stay.

This time I used the No Meals Included Plan with a JPY 10,000 hotel credit. Although it was a plan without meals, there are convenience stores, restaurants, and a food court in the same building as the Hotel and nearby, so finding something to eat was never an issue. I stayed in the Fairmont Bay View King (52 sqm). With high ceilings and large windows, it felt even more spacious than its actual size. As it’s a bay view Room, I could see Tokyo Skytree to the left and all the way toward the Haneda Airport area to the right. Since there are few tall buildings around, you can enjoy an expansive view into the distance. At night, I was also able to fully enjoy Tokyo’s night scenery. The bed had a comfortable firmness and felt supportive even for someone who sleeps on their stomach. Two types of pillows are provided from the start, and if they don’t suit you, you can choose from several additional options—something I really appreciated. The bathroom is a combined bathtub-and-washing-area style. Amenities were well stocked, and Nespresso coffee and tea were also provided in the Room. The lighting brightness can be adjusted, making it easy to relax according to your preference or time of day. Wi‑Fi generally worked fine; however, since it is shared among guests, it occasionally became slightly unstable depending on the time of day. Soundproofing was not an issue, and cleanliness was excellent with nothing that stood out as concerning. Although this wasn’t a club-lounge-access Room type, turndown service was still provided. This time I also used the spa/fitness area available to guests and visited the bathing facilities twice—at 16:00 and again at 7:00 the next morning. At both times there were only about two other users besides me, so it felt spacious and relaxing. Access is about a 6-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station (South Exit). From the station to where this Hotel is located, much of the route is covered by a roofed walkway so you can avoid direct sunlight while walking. It should also help significantly in rain unless there are strong crosswinds. If you have extra time, using community buses departing from areas such as Shimbashi or Shinagawa could also be a good option. Overall—between the airy guest Room atmosphere, views, relaxing bathing facilities that weren’t crowded during my visit، and convenient access from the station—it was a well-balanced stay that I found very satisfying. Even with a plan without meals، there are plenty of nearby options، making this an easy-to-use Hotel for those who want to spend their time relaxing on-site. Next time، I’d like to stay with breakfast included or with club lounge access.

    BAR OFF RECORD is amazing!

Since the sushi and teppanyaki restaurants were closed on Sunday, I stayed with access to the Club Lounge. The off-site RECORDBAR recommended by the Swim manager felt like a secret club and was an outstanding bar. While many places call themselves bars but feel more like lounges, this truly felt like a real bar. The DJ’s music selection and sound quality were excellent, and I’m especially grateful to the Sunday DJ for supporting us with hospitality beyond that of hotel staff. In the Club Lounge, the champagne served was Laurent-Perrier, and even the Chardonnay was high quality (Coppola). I also had a Bellini cocktail, which was delicious. The macarons and chocolate cream in the Room were excellent, and the lounge sweets were also very good. Thank you as well for the financier souvenir. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine, which may have been a mistake—the seasoning was puzzling (octopus with mayonnaise?). The rice quality and how it was cooked were disappointing. I really hope they improve the miso soup; it seemed to be tonjiru (pork miso soup), but it had been reduced too much and felt like something from a training camp cafeteria. Also, there were older Japanese female guests who seemed to be taking photos for Instagram—photographing every angle of the breakfast buffet counters—making it difficult for others to serve themselves without holding back. I hope more guests will show consideration in shared spaces.

Maybe my expectations were too high.

I rarely post Reviews, but since this Hotel is often used for surprises and special occasions, I wanted to share my experience in the hope that fewer guests will feel the same disappointment. Given the high Review ratings and the relatively premium price range, I arrived with very high expectations. I may have set the bar too high after recently staying at luxury Hotels in a similar price range (I won’t name them, but they are located in Tenjin, Fukuoka and Tameike-Sanno), where the experience was outstanding. First, when I got off the elevator on the 35th floor, I greeted a male staff member, but received no response and was not guided to reception. Feeling uneasy, I proceeded to reception; when I greeted a female staff member there as well, again there was no response—only “Are you looking for something?” Since I arrived before 2:00 p.m. (a Plan with 2:00 p.m. check-in) carrying a suitcase, it was very disappointing that I was not recognized as a guest. Once they looked up my name and realized I was staying on the Fairmont Gold floor, their attitude suddenly changed; however, my suitcase remained left beside reception as-is, which made me worry whether it would be delivered properly. While many of the Gold floor staff were polite, it took considerable effort to place an order during night snacks. Also during that time slot there was a small child crying; as it is meant to be a quiet space to relax in peace, this was disappointing. As with other luxury Hotels, it may be worth considering measures such as an age restriction during night snack hours. Regarding the special welcome amenity included with IKYU Diamond member benefits: it did not arrive at check-in or turndown service and was delivered after 8:00 p.m. Receiving it at that time—after dinner—felt rather late. At checkout it was crowded; someone asked if we would like our suitcases taken down to the first floor, so we accepted. However, there were no further instructions afterward and we ultimately had to carry them ourselves. In addition, although several staff members were present at the first-floor entrance area, no one asked whether we needed a taxi or offered any assistance. Now that one year has passed since opening—and given how beautiful and impressive the building and Facilities are—it is extremely disappointing that service fell short to this extent. We will not return.

    It was amazing again!

Because Tokyo Tower looks a bit pale in summer, next time I’d like to make a Reservation during the regular lighting season and enjoy the view of Tokyo Tower from the pool at night. Perhaps because it was summer vacation, all the poolside beds were taken, but I was able to lie down there the next morning. A young male staff member was especially pleasant, and I thought he was wonderful. I heard from a Review that breakfast had changed to a buffet, so I added it and enjoyed it. The food was delicious, and there was salmon roe. The French toast looked beautiful—honestly the best presentation I’ve seen among many Hotels. I’m also glad I could book dinner on the same day. If I had to mention one thing, there seemed to be a musty smell in the carpeted hallway leading to my Room—like socks—and it lingered constantly, so I’d like them to clean it with something like a steam cleaner. It didn’t bother me six months ago, so maybe it was because of summer. Even though it was a weekday, I heard Rooms were fully booked, which made me feel just how many guests were staying. Thank you very much.

It had changed quite a bit.

I visited again for the first time in a few months. It’s the Gold Lounge, and it feels like quite a few things have changed. The afternoon tea, which used to be more than I could finish, is now about half the amount. The stand has also been changed to a slimmer, taller style. As for the signature cocktails, it used to be only the rum-based “Slowly Shipping,” but that has been removed and other menu items have been added. For cocktail time, while the way items are served has changed, the content is mostly the same, so I think you can enjoy it in much the same way as before. Breakfast now includes a buffet. The main menu used to be the same as at Kiln & Tonic, but it has been changed to lounge-exclusive options with a wider selection. Only the avocado toast seems likely to be the same as at Kiln & Tonic. The refreshments menu has also changed, and there is now a one-item-per-person rule. Because this Hotel’s location is slightly inconvenient, I felt these changes might affect my choice of Hotel somewhat—but I still feel it remains a wonderful Hotel with excellent Facility features and more. For those who place importance on breakfast, I think this will make for an even better lounge experience than before.

    Stay for your wedding anniversary

We stayed in a Bay View Twin with Gold Lounge access to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and we were able to enjoy a wonderful time worthy of the occasion. We were fortunate with the weather, and the ocean view was truly spectacular, so we spent a lot of time together in the lounge. The food was delicious, alcohol service was very smooth, and the hospitality was genuinely pleasant. When we entered the Room, we couldn’t help sighing again and again at the view from the window; even the loungewear was so comfortable that I almost considered buying it to take home. The mist shower was excellent, and the bathtub was spacious and comfortable. Perhaps because it was a celebration, there was chilled Dassai sake in our Room, which made us very happy. Although it was a weekday stay, the Hotel felt very quiet throughout, with a calm atmosphere. We had such a lovely time and are grateful to all of the lounge hosts.

The right choice for your stay!

I couldn’t visit when it first opened a year ago, so this time I finally decided to go. I didn’t leave the Room at all, but everything was well equipped and it was truly wonderful! The bath salts smelled great, but they weren’t for sale ( ;∀;) Next time, I’ll try the Gold Room. It seems to be highly rated as well, so I’m looking forward to it!

The most luxurious time of your life

We stayed here for a marriage proposal. When I contacted the staff in advance about arranging a surprise, they kindly accommodated my request, allowing me to create the ideal proposal. We booked a Plan that included access to the Gold Lounge, and every meal was absolutely delicious. Thoughtful touches were evident throughout our stay, making it the most luxurious and memorable experience of my life.

    A Dreamlike Stay

A Hotel I’d been curious about ever since it opened last year. To make the most of it, I made a Reservation to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was my first time coming to the other side of Hamamatsucho Station, and I was surprised at how much redevelopment is underway. Even though we had just returned to Japan, the Hotel felt like being abroad. I wondered if many staff members were from overseas, but everyone has been learning Japanese, and no matter who we spoke with, they were kind and helpful—making our two-day stay extremely comfortable. They also helped us with our heavy luggage. We checked in on the 42nd floor and went straight to afternoon tea, where a birthday plate had been prepared for us. This time we used the “Fairmont Gold Lounge,” and everything we ate and drank was delicious. The Room also had thoughtful design touches that made it feel even more spacious, and the view outside was incredible. Being at eye level with the clouds made it feel as if we were staying above the sky. There was also a birthday message in the Room, which made my husband very happy—thank you so much. We headed to the pool right away. It’s on the 35th floor, and we were able to relax in the jacuzzi as well. I appreciated staff kindly reminding us that the poolside can be slippery—please be careful. We wanted to try the gym and spa too, but I had hurt my foot, so we’ll look forward to that next time. The spa treatments seem to incorporate Japanese ingredients; they kindly explained them to us. Fairmont Hotel branded items were also sold there—we bought matching hats as a birthday keepsake for my husband and wore them right away. At turndown service, an adorable stuffed keychain doll labeled 【SRRNE】 was left for us, so we couldn’t resist taking photos together with it. The bathroom was also very comfortable; it was great being able to stretch out in the bathtub. Everything truly was wonderful from start to finish. We would absolutely love to stay again. Thank you sincerely to all staff members for kindly helping us with various questions even before our stay—it made for a lovely birthday celebration that we will always remember with gratitude.”

You should definitely choose the Gold Club Lounge.

Spectacular views from the Room The moment I opened the door, the Tokyo Tower view instantly made it feel truly special. Exceptional Gold Club Lounge experience From welcome drinks (including alcohol!) at check-in and check-out, to afternoon tea in the afternoon and evening cocktails at night... Combined with the wonderful hospitality from the staff, it was so satisfying that I felt like I didn’t need to go out at all—this is exactly what a club lounge should be. Excellent wellness facilities (pool, sauna, and bath) Refreshing in an infinity pool with outstanding views, then fully unwinding in the sauna and bath—pure relaxation. It was a wonderful Hotel that makes me want to come back for a refresh without fail. Thank you very much.

I never want to stay here again.

Although I have stayed at many Hotels in the past, this was truly unpleasant. I requested turndown service at 18:00, and when I returned exhausted around 22:00, the turndown had been left unfinished. In the first photo, a light-blue cleaning cloth was left on the sink and no towels or other items were replenished. In the second photo, a yellow cleaning cloth was left sticky on a chair. From the third photo onward are proof that turndown service was not done. I called housekeeping, but they did not come right away. When I called again, a Chinese staff member gave only a vague response. Later, one non-Japanese staff member and one Japanese staff member came, but the non-Japanese cleaner seemed not to understand what they were being told. I was completely exhausted. There was no apology at all the next day. The food was also disappointing: there was no dressing on the salad, and the miso soup was far too salty—like it wasn’t made by a Japanese person. They also forgot my request to make a lunch Reservation for the first day. When I asked a non-Japanese staff member on the first floor which direction Shiba Rikyu is in, they either didn’t understand Japanese or ignored me—at least they could have said “right” or “left.” Many of them seemed unsure of Japanese to begin with. My entire day was ruined and I felt drained. It seems like they have gathered part-time-level workers as staff. This Hotel is for younger guests looking for something “Instagrammable,” not for those who are used to staying in Hotels.

The Room and the view are excellent, but...

A brand-new Hotel I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. The Room, Facility, and view were flawless. However, the service and operations in the Gold Lounge still have room for improvement. First, they should create a proper manual; I was very concerned by how inconsistent the responses were depending on the staff member. Guidance to seats and taking drink orders were fine, but some staff clearly explained what food would be served at each time slot while others gave no explanation at all. It makes me wonder whether they are truly considering first-time guests using this Hotel lounge. Despite having many staff serving, it took quite a long time for them to check whether food was being properly delivered. During afternoon service, I waited about an hour before they finally noticed me. Worst of all, during refreshments they took my order but it never arrived even after waiting an hour. If they cannot provide reliable service, honestly, I think they should stop offering it altogether. They should switch everything to self-service instead. If they want to serve guests directly, there should be a person in charge stationed inside the lounge at all times. Also, why did no one warn foreign guests who brought their phones into the pool (in the water) and were absorbed in taking selfies? What if they collide with someone swimming? Even though staff were present, it bothered me that they looked away and did nothing. To be honest, I felt this is still not a Hotel that can be called truly first-class in terms of service response yet.

    Use for a marriage proposal

My stay itself was comfortable, and I was satisfied with the view, your help with my proposal, the food in the Gold Lounge, the staff’s hospitality, and the facilities. However, after checkout, due to a mistake on the Hotel’s side, gym wear was mixed in with my luggage. At first I was told to return it at my own expense (prepaid shipping), and later during our correspondence I was informed that return shipping could also be sent collect. To resolve this quickly, I went to the Hotel myself to return it. Later, I received a polite apology email from the Hotel and you acknowledged that it was caused by insufficient confirmation on your side; however, there was no consideration for transportation costs or any other compensation for having to make the trip to return it. Because I had high expectations of a luxury Hotel, I felt somewhat disappointed by this response. I hope improvements will be made so that similar issues do not happen again.

    The best view in Tokyo.

I stayed in a Room on the side with a view of Rainbow Bridge. The view is outstanding. Watching the Yurikamome line, cars crossing Rainbow Bridge, and countless boats never gets old. I’ve stayed at many high-floor international Hotels, and this one is the best so far. I used the sauna as well, and unlike many international Hotels, it has a cold plunge pool, which made it even more satisfying. The only disappointing point was breakfast. It’s a style where you choose two main dishes plus a buffet, and I chose pancakes and an omelet. The pancake quality was especially poor. I assume they serve pre-made ones to get them out quickly, but they weren’t fluffy at all—more like family-restaurant pancakes made thicker. I’d like the person in charge to try them; it’s honestly quite disappointing. The omelet was also very average. Rather than offering two mains, I felt they should focus on improving the quality of each dish instead. Breakfast with that wonderful view from the restaurant is great, but the food itself didn’t live up to it—frankly, I don’t think it’s worth 8,500 yen. Because the view, Facilities, and staff service are truly excellent, it’s such a shame that only breakfast falls short. I’ll make another Reservation hoping for an improved breakfast next time. Thank you very much.

We could see Tokyo Tower from our Room, and we were lucky enough to also see Mt. Fuji—an amazing view that we were truly delighted with! The club lounge was also excellent. Since I’m not good with alcohol, I usually don’t enjoy cocktail time very much, but I really appreciated that they could make mocktails here. I was impressed by the hospitality of crafting drinks to suit my preferences. We had a wonderful cocktail time and are full of gratitude. The tea in the Room was also delicious! I meant to ask whether it’s available for purchase but forgot—if it’s sold when we visit again, I’d definitely like to buy some. We had an absolutely wonderful time.

I used the Gold Lounge. This time, I didn’t find the in-house fragrance particularly bothersome. The view from the Room was as wonderful as ever, and spending time in the Room felt like the greatest luxury. Although the breakfast menu was a little hard to understand, I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay.
