Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday, as she has grown older and sightseeing has become physically difficult for her. There were some misunderstandings on both sides regarding the Room, but thank you very much for your heartfelt attention to every detail. Thanks to you, my mother was delighted and said she was able to enjoy a truly wonderful birthday. This was all thanks to the entire staff. Thank you again. We would love to stay again during the autumn foliage season.

Kyoto is my favorite destination in the whole country, and I visit for sightseeing many times throughout the year, staying at various Hotels. This time, I stayed at Banyan Tree, which has only recently opened and is still quite new. When I stopped by to leave my luggage in advance, the staff kindly assisted me, and when I mentioned I would be going out afterward, they even gave me water and a map of the surrounding area. In that moment, I instantly felt glad I had chosen this Hotel.At check-in as well, even though I arrived late at night, they offered a welcome drink and supported me with kindness while keeping a comfortable sense of distance. At check-out too, they provided drinks; I enjoyed chatting with the staff about other Hotels around Kyoto; and they took many photos for me both inside and outside the property. The overall design truly felt unique to Kyoto—although it is an international brand, it still conveys a strong sense of Japan—and thanks to the wonderful hospitality from the staff, Kyoto has become an even more indispensable place for me.On a personal note, since I work in a Hotel myself, Banyan Tree was so impressive that it even made me think how nice it would be to work here someday (haha).Thank you very much for your truly wonderful hospitality. I will definitely stay again.
