    Wedding Anniversary

    We stayed here for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Accommodation was beautifully arranged, and all of the staff were wonderful. We were delighted that each person congratulated us on our anniversary. Every dish was delicious, with carefully prepared broth, and the tableware was lovely as well. My spouse and I truly enjoyed a happy time together. We also enjoyed the open-air bath many times. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    A Precious Stay

    This is a small, welcoming Accommodation where you can Clear your mind and body after the rush of everyday life. The building is old, but the meals served in carefully chosen tableware, the explanations provided with each course, and the responses to my research requests were all heartfelt. I would love to stay again.

    Highly Satisfied

    The accommodation's hospitality, service, and cuisine were excellent. I expected traditional-style dishes due to the historical atmosphere of the accommodation, but I was pleasantly surprised by the modern, stylish, and delicious cuisine. While I understand that the building's old design makes it unavoidable, I found the stairs to the second floor a bit narrow and steep. That was about the only concern I had.

    Summer Vacation Trip

    Stayed for one night on September 18th, marking my second stay. Conveniently located near Dogo Onsen Station, the accommodation offers a peaceful environment. It was extremely hot that day, so I immediately enjoyed the semi-open-air bath after check-in, having it all to myself. The next morning, I used the indoor bath twice—once early in the morning and once before leaving. Both dinner and breakfast featured local ingredients and were absolutely delicious. Once again, I chose the all-inclusive plan, and during dinner, a young staff member kindly offered drink refills—I ended up drinking quite a lot (laughs). Upon departure, the hostess graciously carried my bag to the entrance—thank you very much! I will definitely stay here again when visiting Matsuyama next time.

    I had a very relaxing time in a very quiet space. The onsen was also very good, and I enjoyed the onsen in the room many times. The food was delicious and exquisite. The attentive service was also wonderful. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    The view is disappointing.

    When making the reservation, I booked a corner room because the photos suggested a good view, but the entire window was covered with blinds, and I couldn't see the view at all. Even from the room, sitting on the chair to relax, all I could see were the blinds, which was very disappointing. Everything else was very good.

    A fine Stays where you can experience the traditional culture of Matsuyama

    I live in Fukui, but my brother, who lives in Matsuyama (our family home), recommended this place, so we visited together. My brother learned about it from an article in the local newspaper. We reserved a room associated with Kawahigashi Hekigotou. We were both very satisfied with the comfortable time we spent. In a word, I think it is a property that faithfully inherits the culture of Japanese ryokan. The room is decorated with writings by Akiyama Yoshifuru, Akiyama Saneyuki, Kawahigashi Hekigotou, and Miwada Beizan, allowing us to experience the history and literature of Matsuyama, which is valuable. The cuisine is carefully crafted, utilizing the seafood of the Seto Inland Sea and seasonal ingredients. The large communal bath with character and the room bath with a small window overlooking the garden are also nice. What left a particularly strong impression was the hospitality, as we felt the spirit of hospitality from the proprietress and the staff. I have stayed at famous ryokan across the whole country, but this can be said to be a top-class property. I am thinking of bringing my wife next time.
