    The Luxury of Doing Nothing

    I stayed for two nights with my childhood friend, and it was a truly pleasant stay from arrival to departure. Right after we arrived, the non-alcoholic drink served during check-in was delicious, but the WELCOME drink brought to our Room was a bottle of champagne. It came with tasty chocolates and fruit, and all drinks in the in-room refrigerator were also complimentary—so we started right away with beers on the balcony sofa, and our relaxing stay began from the very first moment. The open-air Onsen in the Room was at just the right temperature, and the water felt silky—almost like a beauty serum. After bathing, my skin stayed moisturized and smooth even without applying anything. The heat retention was excellent as well; it was wonderful water. The bath was spacious enough for three people comfortably—no complaints at all! The all-inclusive wine selection even included DOCG-level wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Being able to enjoy as much of that quality as you like was a real treat, and both the glasses in the Room and those provided during service were RIEDEL, which made great wine taste even better. The Room was clean and spacious, and every meal was delicious. Since dining is served in a private room, you can enjoy your meal quietly at your own pace. There were also many types of sake available with dinner, all of which we enjoyed very much. Premium ingredients were used generously, yet everything was seasoned lightly and elegantly—it was truly delicious. Everything tasted great and there was plenty of food (it was a bit too much for me—I’m sorry I couldn’t finish it), so I was very satisfied overall; however, while all of the sweets served at afternoon tea on day two were excellent, I wished there had been something savory as well since it consisted only of sweet items. The sandwiches from room service were delicious too, so even having those alongside would have made it perfect—so I gave four stars instead (it’s more than enough since it’s complimentary service; I’m only mentioning this because it could make satisfaction even higher). Still, this is an Accommodation that feels perfect in every way—we kept saying to each other throughout our two-night stay how much we wanted to come back again! Next time we’d like to stay three nights. Other than taking a short walk around Lake Shikotsu (which felt great), we spent our time in the Room doing absolutely nothing—just relaxing—but that “luxury of doing nothing” is exactly what made this trip so fulfilling here. It’s one of those places I wholeheartedly want to recommend to others—I’ve already recommended it to my mother and friends right away.

    It was excellent.

    From the moment we arrived at the Accommodation, the warm welcome, guidance to our Room, and attentive service during meals were all exceptionally hospitable and made our stay very comfortable. We were extremely satisfied with the view from the Room, the open-air bath, and how clean everything was. We were also very pleased that many items in the refrigerator and much of the room service were available at no additional cost.

    The all-inclusive package is amazing!

    I was surprised by the high quality of the wines included in the all-inclusive plan. They were all delicious. At dinner, we could also choose sake, which was excellent as well. As expected from Tsuruga. The late-night curry was delicious too. They were very kind to our child, and we really appreciated it. We would like to stay again.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    The service was excellent. Not only the Room, but also the dining area and bar lounge were impeccably clean, and the consistent design of the fixtures and interior showed great attention to detail throughout. I felt this Accommodation offered value beyond its price.

    Very Raw

    I requested a 1-hour...

    I requested a 1-hour late check-out, and it felt a little pricey. But I was being demanding, so it can’t be helped. I’d be happy if you could offer more late-night snack options. The open-air bath was amazing! The indoor bath was amazing too! And the service was even more amazing! Next year, I’d like to plan a stay of two nights or more. Thank you very much!

    I love summer.

    Exceptional hospitality

    This was my first stay, and I think it’s a wonderful Accommodation. The only drawback was that the Room cleaning wasn’t perfect, and there was quite a bit of hair on the floor, especially in the closet. Other than that, the Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The open-air bath had a unique mineral quality, and it left my skin feeling smooth. The meals were delicious and the portions were just right. The accommodation rate is somewhat high, but since room service and most drinks with meals are almost all inclusive, it didn’t feel that expensive in the end. There are no convenience stores nearby, but there was absolutely no inconvenience when it came to food and drinks. Above all, the hospitality of all the staff was excellent. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

    This is Hokkaido’s top Hotel.

    I’ve stayed at many Hotels in Hokkaido, including many within the same group, and this one stands out as the best by far!! Above all, the service is outstanding. With an all-inclusive plan, the Room service is excellent and everything was brought to us promptly. They even made rice we couldn’t finish at dinner into onigiri and delivered dessert to our Room, which truly made us happy. Even though we ordered a bit too much, we were so full that I couldn’t eat the onigiri they kindly prepared for us—I really regret that… I’m sorry. It was such a wonderful stay that one night wasn’t nearly enough. Thank you very much for a lovely time.

    A Hotel inspired by Ainu culture and the color blue

    What I liked ・The atmosphere, decor, and interior design are wonderful ・The meals use Hokkaido ingredients and are delicious ・Portion sizes are just right ・The guest room is clean and a comfortable size ・The Onsen is a smooth-feeling, light saline spring that warms you up well ・The staff are kind and helpful ・You take off your shoes at the entrance and walk barefoot inside the building ・The in-house loungewear has an Ainu-inspired style ・You can hardly hear other guests What could be improved ・It can’t be changed, but the road is right in front of the property ・It can’t be changed, but even on the 3rd floor there are obstacles between the Hotel and the lake view ・I drank too much champagne Overall ・The concept is well defined, and overall satisfaction was very high. You can enjoy a walk by the lake or relax in the free common spaces inside. It also made me want to visit other Hotels in the same group.

    Stay for a Special Occasion

    Great value for the price, with excellent service and a comfortable space. Everything was taken care of, and we were completely satisfied. The meal was a Japanese kaiseki course; the timing and portions were perfect—again, we were very satisfied! The open-air bath attached to the Room was clean, with nothing that bothered us at all. The welcome drink, plus the champagne and fruit prepared in the Room, were a wonderful surprise. We’ll definitely stay again!

    We’re extremely satisfied!

    Choosing this Accommodation for the last day of our trip to Hokkaido was absolutely the right decision. Not only was the staff’s warm hospitality wonderful, but every dish at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, leaving both my stomach and heart full. The fluffy, sweet flounder I had at breakfast was especially memorable. The interior had a calm atmosphere with lovely decor, and the Room felt even more spacious than it looked in the photos. The Onsen water was silky-smooth with just the right temperature, and I went in again and again. When I mentioned that I don’t drink alcohol, they kindly prepared non-alcoholic welcome champagne and adjusted the timing of when rice dishes were served at dinner—I truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality that it makes me want to plan another trip to Hokkaido just to stay at this Accommodation again.

    The best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at in Hokkaido

    It’s about a 40-minute ride from the airport by Shuttle Service bus. The service, the Room with an Onsen, and the Facility were excellent. The all-inclusive plan was great, but I don’t drink much alcohol so that part was a bit disappointing. Still, since we booked at a time-sale rate, it was good value for money.

    The atmosphere is wonderful—this says it all.

    The decor throughout the Accommodation is wonderful—it feels like a small museum. Relax with drinks and food, then enjoy a spacious bath for as long as you like. If you’re not very good with alcohol, you may want to be careful. The atmosphere was so nice that I had champagne in my Room and ended up falling asleep early in the evening. It’s a bit of a shame I didn’t make it to the lounge or the bar at night (haha).

    From the moment we arrived—car valet at the entrance, the concierge at reception, our upgrade request, and the attentive bar service with delicious drinks—everything was handled perfectly.     Silver Wedding Anniversary

    We stayed to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you for upgrading our Room. The all-inclusive offering was excellent and truly well done. All the staff were wonderful as well. This is an Accommodation that makes you want to come back. We have stayed at various high-end Accommodations, and we think this is among the best in Hokkaido.

    Spacious Open-Air Bath

    It was very quiet and had a luxurious feel. We stayed in the Village, and thank you for upgrading us to a very spacious Room. The valet parking was very smooth and convenient. The food was delicious, and we were able to spend an elegant time. Since it was all-inclusive, we tried to order a late-night snack, but the beef curry was only available in the lounge until 9:00 p.m. We wanted to eat it in our Room, so that was disappointing. We would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The meal felt anything but homemade and was very disappointing. The service also… I had high expectations, but it fell short.

    I visited with high expectations, believing this was the finest Tsuru-ga property. While the facilities were excellent, dinner felt far from top-class and lacked a handmade touch; breakfast was the same. I had a similar experience at Hina no Za last year. I came expecting warm hospitality and great meals, but it was truly disappointing. I had also made Reservations at other Tsuru-ga group Accommodations, but I Cancelled the Reservation.

    Excellent!

    We stayed as a family for our child’s graduation trip. It was all-inclusive, with unlimited drinks and Room service! The Room was spacious, and we fully enjoyed the private open-air bath. For dinner, we had teppanyaki and ate our fill of premium ingredients. However, it is pricey, so we’ll work hard to be able to come again.

    It was the most relaxing time!

    To escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, my husband and I take a relaxing two-night, three-day Onsen retreat a few times a year in different places. This time we visited for our wedding anniversary, and everything was so wonderful it felt perfect. As it wasn’t peak season, the Hotel was very quiet. The moment we stepped into the entrance, we were enveloped in a lovely fragrance that felt like forest bathing. We were told it was a specially blended scent inspired by the Hotel’s concept, and I wanted to buy some to take home—but it was more expensive than expected, so I gave up (sadly). And I had no idea an all-inclusive stay could be this comfortable! Perhaps because we mentioned our anniversary in advance, champagne along with fruit and chocolates had already been prepared in our Room—and the fruit was especially delicious. The meals were served at a relaxed pace with perfect timing, drinks could be ordered to suit our mood, and we could even enjoy dessert at the bar with siphon coffee. In short, there was absolutely nothing to complain about—we were truly delighted with the service. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to return for life’s special milestones. Thank you very much.

    Time Allocation

    I had a Reservation for the spa at 9:00 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM. I was told that schedule would be fine, but in reality I would not have made it to the spa on time, so I had to leave dinner early. There was no follow-up about this afterward, and it was simply overlooked. I would appreciate more consideration for scheduling and time management.

    The Perfect Accommodation for a Relaxing Stay

    We visited for the first time with our two elementary school children and stayed in a suite villa room. Since we couldn't use the bar with kids, we opted for room service. To conclude, the room service was absolutely amazing!!!! As a couple who loves alcohol, we enjoyed plenty of champagne and wine. From the food menu, we had sandwiches, smoked seafood, cheese, chocolate-covered potato chips, and more. At night, we also had ochazuke (rice soup) and ice cream. Everything was incredibly delicious and paired perfectly with drinks! The room was spacious and perfect for a cozy stay-in accommodation. A few points of dissatisfaction: While the floor heating kept the room warm enough, the indoor bath before stepping into the open-air bath was extremely cold. When I tried to take a shower while shivering from coldness, it took over a minute for hot water to come out... Waiting naked in such cold conditions felt way too long. Additionally, although there was an elegant shower head installed on the wall at a right angle only allowing direct spray from that position—it made washing hair while holding it in one hand quite stressful! There seemed like rain-shower-style options available overhead but personally preferred closer scalp contact during washing hence avoided using them altogether. Given how freezing indoor baths were during wintertime potentially causing heart attacks under extreme circumstances—unfortunately wouldn’t consider utilizing again based solely upon personal experience here. Dinner itself tasted fantastic; however waiting times between courses stretched significantly taking around three hours total duration overall which felt slightly wasteful since wanted ample opportunity enjoying reading books soaking within Onsen facilities instead maximizing precious moments spent inside beautiful accommodations provided! Despite minor grievances mentioned above though genuinely appreciated hardworking efforts displayed by staff members wholeheartedly without single complaint directed towards them whatsoever leaving us completely satisfied overall experience-wise looking forward eagerly returning someday soon hopefully!

    I love this accommodation.

    This is my fourth stay at this accommodation. I choose a different room each time, but this time's room had the best view of Lake Shikotsu. The timing of our arrival was perfect, just as the sun was setting, creating a truly mystical scene. This is such a peaceful accommodation that it makes you forget reality. I also enjoyed the all-inclusive service. The onsen water quality is gentle and feels so smooth on the skin, almost like soaking in lotion (laughs). It's an onsen that makes you want to stay in forever. The air is clear, and every time I visit, I feel like this is ultimate relaxation at its finest. It's conveniently close to Sapporo, so we always make it our final stop during trips—and every time we conclude by saying "this place really is the best." We always end with plans to return next year. A luxurious hotel with a comforting sense of security—if everything ends well here, then all's well! I hope they continue maintaining this level of quality for years to come. I'll keep coming back quietly and regularly. Next time, I'd love to try teppanyaki and get an esthetic treatment if possible (laughs). Thank you very much!

    The national highway in front is the only downside.

    Solo trip. Over 150,000 yen per night, so my review is critical. The Room, staff, and meals are excellent. However, the only downside is the noise of cars that brings you back to reality even while enjoying the stunning view and the perfect open-air bath. Another drawback might be overeating and overdrinking!

    It was average.

    Perhaps my expectations were too high, as I didn't feel much hospitality... Was it due to subtle considerations or the management policy? It was disappointing that greetings and smiles were absent while looking down. However, the weather was great, and the view from the Room was excellent, allowing me to relax.

    All-Inclusive

    The all-inclusive experience was excellent, though considering the price, it might be expected. For my 11-year-old daughter's meals and amenities, they seemed more suited for younger children, so I hope this can be addressed. I understood that the room's private open-air bath was a circulation system. On the check-in day, there was no chlorine smell, which was great. However, after breakfast the next morning, there was a strong chlorine odor. It would be better to add chlorine after check-out. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay; however, considering the price point, I believe more attention to detail is necessary.
