    True to the Okura name.

    I left my luggage at the bell desk before check-in and asked for it to be delivered to my Room. However, it was not in my Room, and it eventually arrived after 10:00 PM. Until then, the staff’s handling of the situation truly made me think, “As expected of Okura!”

    The view was amazing.

    I stayed here to attend a training seminar. The weather was disappointing on the first day, but on the morning of the second day I was able to enjoy a wonderful view from the 42nd floor before heading to the seminar. The staff were very helpful, and I had a great stay.

    I had a comfortable ...

    I had a comfortable stay. The staff were kind and helpful. The musical instrument motifs throughout the property were lovely. I was thinking of having lunch here as well, but it was disappointing that the restaurant I wanted to visit was closed that day. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    I stayed for two nights on a room-only Plan. I was happy that you assigned me a Room on the top floor—thank you. One concern: there was a lot of dust around the upper closet ventilation vent (?), and I hesitated to hang my clothes on the rail. I understand it may be hard to notice areas that high, but other Rooms may be similar, so I think it would be good to check all Rooms at once. I’m very disappointed that the pool and large public bath are no longer available. Are there any plans to renovate or reopen them? I was very satisfied with the front desk service during my stay. The view from the high floor was great, and I was able to relax comfortably in my Room. I look forward to staying with you again.

    It was a nice, classic Hotel.

    I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room, and the sofa’s houndstooth pattern and other classic touches—unlike those at other hotels—made it beautifully furnished, and I had a wonderful time. Just one point: the Room Wi‑Fi often disconnected, so I deducted points only for that. However, if you are visiting Hamamatsu, this is a highly recommended Hotel. Thank you very much.

    This is a relaxing Hotel.

    I stayed here for business and was able to get there from the station without getting wet in the rain. There is a supermarket on the way, and a convenience store right below the Hotel, which was very convenient. I was able to take my time enjoying the great views that only a high-rise Hotel can offer. The bathroom was spacious, and the amenities were well stocked, including cleansing oil and toner. The next morning it was very clear, and I could see all the way out to the distant sea. Overall, I think everything about this Hotel—its interior design and location—was excellent. The staff were also very helpful. Next time, I’d like to relax and enjoy the sky lounge as well.

    This is my go-to Accommodation when attending live shows in Shizuoka, but...

    I stay here every year when I come for live shows. I was happy to be upgraded again this time, but I was disappointed because the cleaning didn’t seem thorough. First, the refrigerator shelf: it was hot, so I bought drinks and food for two nights at a convenience store and put them in the fridge to chill, but the shelf felt sticky. Next, the kettle: when I opened the lid, there was a strange smell. These days you even hear about people washing clothes in kettles, so it felt unhygienic and I couldn’t use it. The location is great, and everyone at the front desk—as well as around the elevators and the bell staff—were very pleasant. I had planned to stay only at this Hotel whenever I visit Hamamatsu, but this made me concerned about hygiene. I’d like to stay again next year too, so I hope you can improve these points.

    The night view was amazing.

    It was my first time staying in Hamamatsu City. I chose this place based on Reviews. The view was wonderful. I was able to relax by soaking in the bathtub. The bed mattress was very comfortable, and I slept soundly. All the staff were very kind. It’s close to the station, which is convenient in many ways.

    The view from the Room was wonderful.

    I made a Reservation with an early-bird deal, and they kindly upgraded me. The view from the Room on the 43rd floor was amazing; it felt wonderful to see the ocean in the distance. The bathroom had no step up from the Room, which made it very comfortable, and the bathtub was spacious so I could truly relax. The Room was also thoroughly cleaned. The lobby staff and the breakfast venue staff were all incredibly attentive, and I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

    Wonderful Hotel

    The elevator hall is full of Hamamatsu character, the view from the Room windows is beautiful, and the delicious breakfast buffet is truly exciting—this was a wonderful Hotel.

    It was comfortable.

    They upgraded us to a Room on a higher floor, and the view was wonderful. Since we were basically only there to sleep, it was a shame we didn’t spend much time in the Room. It was comfortable, but perhaps the Facility is starting to show its age, and compared with newer Hotels it feels slightly dated. In the shower booth, bottles of shampoo and body soap are provided, but they’re placed on a spot that doesn’t seem intended for them, so even a small vibration from closing the door makes them fall onto the floor—this seems like an area for improvement. I understand that when it first opened, it probably wasn’t an era when amenities were provided in bottles like they are now. The breakfast buffet didn’t have a huge variety, but everything was very delicious. We especially enjoyed local specialties such as melon juice, Hamamatsu gyoza dumplings, and Shizuoka oden.

    Family Trip to Celebrate a Baby’s First Seasonal Festival

    We chose this Hotel for an overnight stay to coincide with the Hamamatsu Festival, celebrating our daughter’s family of four and both sets of grandparents—eight of us in total—for our grandchild’s first seasonal festival. It was also a great advantage that we could reach the Hotel from Hamamatsu Station via a covered walkway. The moment each of us entered our three Rooms on the 38th floor, we were amazed by the wonderful view. Musical notes were drawn in the elevator and in the Rooms, which truly made us feel we were in a city of music. We made a phone Reservation at Tohkalin, the Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor, to celebrate both the first seasonal festival and our grandchild’s 4th birthday. They thoughtfully suggested dishes for our grandchild as well as a cake, and we were very satisfied on the day. Breakfast the next morning also included local specialties, and they even had children’s tableware and aprons available—something we really appreciated as a family traveling with kids. From when they stored our luggage before check-in, everyone at the front desk and every staff member we met welcomed us with warm smiles, allowing us to spend a truly happy time. We would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Hamamatsu next time.

    Direct access to Act City Hall

    Although our Room was on the 35th floor, the ocean view from the window was amazing. The night view was beautiful as well. I also got to see my friend’s Room on the 44th floor, and the ocean looked different from there too—it made me realize that the view is great from any Room. The musical notes of Chopin’s Nocturne No. 20 scattered throughout the Hotel made my stay even more enjoyable, since I was there for a piano concert. It was also great that it is directly connected to the concert hall.

    A one-of-a-kind presence right in front of Hamamatsu Station

    You can reach the Hotel from the station ticket gates via May One and the connecting passageway without getting wet in the rain. It’s a bit of a walk and the moving walkway is no longer in service (scheduled to be removed within this year), but it feels much closer than walking outside through town. The building does show its age, but for an Okura, that only adds to its sense of prestige. Right in front of Hamamatsu Station, it has an overwhelming presence—there’s really no other Hotel to compare it with. It also connects directly to a convenience store, which is very handy—and again, you can get there without getting wet. The Room is spacious enough, with large windows that make it bright and comfortable. From the upper floors, you can enjoy sweeping views over Hamamatsu city all the way to Suruga Bay—an indulgent panorama both day and night. The Room also has a capsule coffee machine for relaxing downtime. I believe the mattress was Airweave, though I didn’t particularly notice it while sleeping. The TV was slightly smaller than what you might find in newer Business Hotels, but it supports mirroring and includes apps for streaming services like YouTube and Netflix, so I had no complaints. The only thing I wished were better was the hair dryer.

    The Hotel staff were kind and helpful.

    The Hotel staff were very kind. The person who handled check-in, the person who stored my luggage temporarily, and the person who delivered my luggage to my Room all greeted me with a smile, and the service felt pleasant. The Room had a combined bath and toilet, which I didn’t like, but it couldn’t be helped. It was on a high floor, and the view from the window was excellent. The window was also cleaned well, so the scenery looked clear. Breakfast was delicious.

    What a relief!

    We stayed here on the last day of our trip from Saitama to Ise-Shima. As it is my wife’s hometown, it was deeply moving, and we spent the night with special feelings as a final way to make memories. We were upgraded to a premium floor on a high level, and the view and night scenery were outstanding. The amenities were more than satisfactory, and it was an excellent Room. Hamamatsu Act City was truly exceptional—so moving that it brought tears to our eyes.

    When I mentioned that I wanted to get dressed in the Room to attend a graduation ceremony, they thoughtfully prepared an appropriate setup. Their flexible approach to meeting guests’ needs made my stay comfortable from start to finish. I am truly grateful.

    My sister and I, in our 60s and 70s, stayed here. At check-in, we were told that our Room had been changed due to the Hotel’s circumstances, but it was more than spacious enough for the two of us and very comfortable. They also stored our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The male staff member in charge was very pleasant and provided courteous service. These days, you can feel cost-cutting wherever you go, but during this stay we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious atmosphere—the elegant lobby and the vibrant carpet on the restaurant floor were especially impressive. Thank you very much.

    Hotel in the City of Musical Instruments

    It was my first time back in Hamamatsu in a while, so I stayed here. Musical notes were printed everywhere—truly a Hotel befitting Hamamatsu, the city of musical instruments. It added a lovely touch to my trip. The night view from the Room was wonderful, and I especially loved the bathroom wall. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and even when I left my luggage and took it in and out several times, they responded with a smile each time. If I had to mention one thing, I could hear some noise from other Rooms or the hallway. Other than that, it was a very satisfying trip. I would like to stay here again next time.

    Wonderful Hotel

    They upgraded me from a single to a twin, and I was able to relax in a spacious Room. The night view was wonderful, and I felt truly satisfied. All the staff were very kind, and although it was just one busy night, I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

    We got a room on a h...

    We got a room on a high floor. The sunset, night view, and the sunrise the next day were all beautiful. Since I woke up early in the morning, I was able to see Mt. Fuji before it was covered by clouds. I searched "Can you see Mt. Fuji from Hamamatsu?" and found that this Hotel offers views of Mt. Fuji from its high floors, so it wasn't a mistake after all! All the staff were very kind and helpful. It was such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much!

    Stayed at the accommodation for the first time in over a decade.

    Last time, we stayed here for my daughter's participation in the national piano competition. The Hotel was bustling with people then, but this time, perhaps because it was a weekend without any events, check-in (and check-out) was smooth and stress-free with no waiting at the front desk. Breakfast at 8 AM was not crowded either, and the staff's service was excellent. It would be nice to have mentaiko available. For the same accommodation cost comparison, the view from our room (40th floor, north side) was fantastic. The hotel linens were new, and among them, the waffle-textured pajamas were very comfortable and left a great impression—definitely planning to stay again next time. However, I did notice some signs of age such as stains on the wallpaper near the floor area or around the headboard and some black marks around the bathtub. Perhaps I might be overly particular about cleanliness—please forgive me for that!

    It was disappointing.

    The meals were very disappointing, even considering the limitations on ingredients during the year-end and New Year period and the challenges of sourcing due to rising prices. The Room was spacious and nice, but I disliked how the humidity from the shower room accumulated throughout the Room due to poor ventilation. It was strange that there were no air purifiers in each Room, which is usually standard in most Hotels. I also noticed that there was a limited amount of tissue, and paper scraps had accumulated at the bottom of the tissue box, which felt unclean. However, overall, I found the Room cleaning to be thorough and satisfactory.
