However, this accommodation, while the building itself shows signs of aging, is impeccably clean and offers a very comfortable stay. The bath includes a private open-air hot spring with flowing water, offering breathtaking views of the vast ocean from a scenic cape. During my stay, it was a full moon, and I enjoyed an unforgettable moment under the moonlight accompanied by the sounds of nature. Meals are seafood-focused! Breakfast features marinated tuna rice bowls. The half-buffet style allows you to adjust portions to your appetite. Even the pickles reflect the chef's dedication to quality—everything was absolutely delicious. The evening stargazing session was unexpectedly enjoyable with detailed explanations provided by staff. The staff members were incredibly kind and attentive, making every aspect of my stay satisfying. Thanks to their support, I managed to visit Nachi Taisha Shrine and Nachi Falls despite having limited time. Thank you very much! The view of Matsushima from the Room was as beautiful as a painting. The meals offered a wide variety, and we were able to enjoy local flavors. My husband, who loves drinks, was very happy with the wide selection of alcohol. The view from the large public bath was also wonderful, and the amenities were well stocked. We stayed here for a family trip. All of the staff were very welcoming, and we were truly impressed by the complimentary free-flow drinks service. The meals were just the right amount—not too much—and we enjoyed everything to the last bite. The sashimi in particular was outstanding! The Onsen water quality was excellent, and with the clear autumn weather that day, we felt completely refreshed in the open-air bath. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, but the only disappointment was the Wi‑Fi. The signal was extremely weak in the guest rooms, lobby, and all common areas, and it wasn’t usable in practice. Mobile reception was also poor in this location, so the weak Wi‑Fi felt like a serious issue; I regret that I couldn’t get my work done during our stay. Other than that, we were very satisfied with the service, food, and baths, and we hope the Wi‑Fi will be improved. Thank you very much.

I have wonderful memories of the Accommodation’s atmosphere and hospitality from my first stay, and this time I returned for the first time in seven years. I heard that during the COVID period you improved the parking area and the path to the Accommodation, and it was even easier to access than before. I especially recommend the spiny lobster sashimi and the simmered golden eye snapper. This time, I also asked in advance for a birthday surprise for my friend, and you kindly accommodated my request. Above all, one of Hana Noren’s greatest charms is Toi Onsen, which helped melt away my everyday fatigue. At night I enjoyed the bath in my Room, and in the morning I woke up early to use the private bath. We stayed for three nights as a family of three. Above all, the location—right in front of the ocean—was incredible. The villa sits along the coastline that continues from Toguchi Beach, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to Toguchi Beach. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The daytime sea was beautiful, and the starry sky at night was amazing too. On a morning after rain, we even saw a huge rainbow over the ocean—an unforgettable view. The time we spent looking out at the sea and rainbow beyond the pool was especially memorable. There’s also a spot in front of the villa that feels like a small private beach. This time we decided not to swim due to an approaching tropical depression, but you can borrow pool items, sand-play toys, and life jackets. We were told that around typhoons, waves can wash away some of the sand and reduce the beach area. The pool is just the right size for families to enjoy together. And what we loved most was the BBQ. We bought our own ingredients and enjoyed lighting charcoal for the first time in ages. Having drinks while BBQing with the ocean right in front of us was unbeatable. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and basic seasonings, so self-catering is easy. There’s also a water dispenser, complimentary drinks in the fridge, and a washer-dryer with detergent—very convenient for longer stays. Trash can be sorted and left by the entrance in the morning for collection. We also appreciated being able to sleep comfortably on regular beds rather than an extra bed even with three people. There are four beds in total, so we were able to rest well and recover from travel fatigue. The staff were very kind as well. It’s not full-service like a luxury hotel with 24-hour staffing, but during staffed hours they responded quickly whenever we needed something. On our last day they even came outside to see us off despite strong winds and heavy rain—we’re truly grateful. Since it’s summer there are some insects as expected, but insect spray and repellents are provided; we recommend setting them up soon after arrival. Geckos are part of island life too (in a good way). Because priority seems to be given to views, there isn’t much eave overhang; during heavy rain we noticed some raindrop noise against windows at times—but in return, the view from inside is absolutely stunning. The windows have good sound insulation overall; normally you can barely hear waves indoors at all. If anything could be improved, having mats at the entrance or terrace door to brush off sand would be even more convenient. This is a villa where you can stay “as if living,” at your own pace. Our whole family was completely satisfied—it was an amazing 3-night stay!

This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The olive kaiseki dinner left a strong impression of Shodoshima. I truly hope to return.
