I was looking for an Accommodation with availability during the holiday period, and this was my first time staying at this Hotel! As mentioned in the Review, the building and baths are old, but everything was kept very clean. The changing area was also clean, and it really helped that there were plenty of hair dryers so I didn’t have to wait. The meal included a boat platter with spiny lobster! There was a generous amount of food, and it tasted great—I was very satisfied. In summer, the beach is right in front of you, so I think it would be nice to stay here for swimming as well.

I stayed here three times in one year. It’s my favorite Accommodation, where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful stay in a quiet location. The hostess and her husband are so friendly and warm, and I looked forward to every visit. The food is always truly delicious. This time I stayed for two nights, and I was deeply impressed by how thoughtfully they changed the dishes each day. Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the sea was also wonderful! The shared spaces were kept clean and comfortable as well. After traveling around Ehime Prefecture over the past year, choosing this place again at the end was absolutely the right decision. The Room had a continuously flowing cloudy Onsen, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful Room Service and Shuttle Service. It was excellent value for a Saturday stay for one guest. The only disappointment was that amenities such as facial lotion were individually packaged and provided for just one use—I would have appreciated at least two uses. The meals were the right amount for me, but they may feel a bit light for younger guests or men. Next time, I’d like to enjoy a drink at the bar.

We stayed here a few years ago and returned because of the outstanding, one-of-a-kind location right above the sea. We’ve used several properties in THE HOUSE series, and this one has the most impressive sense of closeness to the ocean. It’s a short walk from the parking area, but that actually adds to the special feel. The only disappointment was that both the red and white shabu-shabu broths at dinner were spicy. At our home, shabu-shabu isn’t something we associate with spicy flavors, and we chose a meal-included Plan because shabu-shabu is usually something children can eat as well. Since neither of us adults can handle spicy food either, once we realized both broths were spicy, we rushed to a convenience store to buy a non-spicy hot pot soup base... I imagine families with children may stay here too, so it would be helpful if the meal description clearly stated when only spicy options are provided. That said, both the meat and vegetables were very delicious.

We enjoyed a BBQ on the terrace while watching the sunset, and the private pool was equipped with life jackets, swim rings, and more, so the kids were happily entertained for hours. Since it was our nephew’s birthday, we celebrated with a surprise cake and made wonderful memories

This time, I stayed with my son and his wife. The small, guest-only bath is truly wonderful and incredibly relaxing. At the shop, they made me a discount card, so I could shop at a great price. The meals are delicious, and above all, I love the staff’s hospitality and smiles. I stay here whenever I return to my hometown, and every time the attentive service is consistently excellent—it feels like a miracle to be able to stay at this price. This was our first stay, and thank you very much for preparing such a wonderful Room! Our family had a great time. Since we have a small child, we really appreciated the valet service on hot days, and we were truly happy when your staff helped carry our plates to the table at the breakfast buffet while I was holding my child. Also, because we could switch our breakfast vouchers to the lunch buffet at your affiliated Hotel next door, it was a big help that they didn’t go to waste even on days when we had to head out early in the morning. The value for money is excellent and the in-house Facilities are well equipped—this is a Hotel I would recommend to friends and acquaintances. Thanks to you, it was a very satisfying trip. The Hotel is located due east of Lake Suwa. The main building has windows facing north and south, while the annex (Palace Wing) has windows facing east and west. Summer fireworks go up due north of the Hotel. If you are coming for the fireworks, it seems best to book a Room on the north side of the main building; if you want lake views and sunsets, a west-facing Room in the annex is recommended. (The “Floor Plan” on the Hotel’s official website is easy to understand.) Enter from the south side of the Hotel and head east into the large parking lot in front of the Hotel (south side). Leave your luggage with a bell person and park in an available space. Check in at reception. Your luggage will be taken to your Room on a cart. The Room is clean, stylish, bright, comfortable, and recently renovated. Along the large north-facing window there is a long counter and chairs. To the left you can see Lake Suwa; to the right, beyond the Japanese Red Cross hospital building, you can view Suwa town and the northern mountains. The night view is also beautiful. There is no view from the unit bath. At showtime, lights in buildings around town dim, and fireworks rise due north for about 10 minutes. There seems to be music as well, but it cannot be heard from inside the Room. The private bath “Anzu” is a scenic bath with a large window opening to the north. The private open-air bath “Karin” faces west but is screened by fencing for privacy. Both are spacious enough, have two washing stations each, and are clean. The Chinese cuisine is refined yet easy to enjoy. Most tables are families so it stays quiet, though there may occasionally be groups drinking loudly. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. There is a long counter on the west side where you can dine facing the lake as well (first come, first served). Breakfast hours are set generously long, and estimated busy times are posted as guidance. This Review rating reflects my personal impression assuming “3” means fair value for money at this price point.

Being able to enjoy a variety of alcoholic drinks during dinner was amazing! I was especially happy to have a Nagisa Beer server. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also appreciated the free massage chair. There are many stairs to the large public bath, and even more to the panoramic open-air bath. It might be tough for elderly guests. However, the view and the hot spring water are wonderful, so I definitely recommend going.

With my husband away on Father’s Day, I planned a surprise Onsen trip a week early. I decided the day before, but luckily I was able to Reserve. The Room was very spacious for two, and my husband seemed pleased with the open view. The meals were also delicious. During dinner, we came across a beautiful sunset and watched it until it set. We also enjoyed table tennis and tried billiards for the first time, making our time after dinner just as fun. The night sky from the open-air bath was filled with shining stars—truly beautiful—and we were glad to have such great weather. With an 11:00 check-out the next day, we relaxed until it was time to leave, and we both felt refreshed and fulfilled. The surprise was a success! Next time, we’d like to visit as a family with our children who are currently living on their own. Thank you very much for everything.

My spouse and I stayed here with our parents, booking two separate buildings. After reading Reviews saying things like “the meals aren’t great for the price,” we honestly didn’t expect much—but there were no issues at all. The portions were more than enough (and you can order extra if needed), everything was delicious, and we had nothing to complain about. Of course, the bath was amazing. Unfortunately, we happened to be there during a typhoon and couldn’t see the stars at night, so we will definitely return—next time, I’d love to soak in the bath while looking up at a sky full of stars. One point: there was a mismatch between the breakfast time we thought we had communicated and the time the Accommodation had on record (it was later), which affected our morning departure time and plans afterward. To avoid any misunderstandings about who said what, it would be helpful if you could leave a written note confirming the requested times for dinner and breakfast.

Unlimited access to the Onsen keeps even Dad’s skin glowing! And with the soothing rhythm of waves rolling in and out, your soul feels cleansed. This is our third stay. We’ll be back again at the end of the year.

We stayed here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. The Room was spacious, and it was great to be able to use two baths—one for day-use guests and one for overnight guests. The meals were delicious, and we were very happy to receive a birthday gift at the time dessert was served at dinner. We also enjoyed having a birthday party in the Room.
