We visited just before the summer holiday season, and since there were fewer guests, they kindly upgraded our Room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a Room with an open-air bath, so we could soak in the Onsen many times and felt truly refreshed. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The large garden was in hydrangea and rose season, so we enjoyed strolling through the beautiful grounds. It was an early summer vacation for us—thank you very much!

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the Room was comfortable, the amenities were well stocked, and it was quiet—making for a very relaxing stay. The nearby yakitori restaurant was delicious, and we also enjoyed a long-established coffee shop for breakfast and a shrine full of history. It made for a wonderful trip to Nagoya. We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Room was clean, the view was great, and it was very comfortable. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and we were impressed throughout. Above all, the food was outstanding. We were amazed by the live ice cream presentation, the live rolled-omelet presentation, and two surprise dishes that weren’t even on the menu. Everything was truly delicious, beautifully presented, and the decorative vegetable carvings were adorable. As someone who doesn’t eat much, I couldn’t finish it because it was so filling—so even big eaters will be satisfied with the portion size. There were also many kinds of drinks available with unlimited refills, and we really felt their warm hospitality. We would love to come again! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

I made a Reservation for a day-use in-room dining Plan to celebrate my friend’s 60th birthday. Thanks to the Hotel’s thoughtful consideration, they kindly lent us a red celebratory vest and hat, which we truly appreciated. The Onsen was wonderful, and the meal was delicious—we even enjoyed drinks from lunchtime, making it a very fulfilling day. Thank you very much.

What stood out most during this stay was the French cuisine at the restaurant “BLUNO.” It was truly delicious. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I enjoyed everything to the very end—not only for its beautiful presentation, but also because you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Rather than just “Hotel food,” it made me think, “I want to stay here again just to eat this French cuisine.” It greatly increased my overall satisfaction with this stay. The Hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with a calm atmosphere. For bathing, you use the adjacent spa Facility. The water temperature was pleasantly lukewarm for a long soak, but I prefer hotter baths, so that part was a little disappointing. Even so, it was still a highly satisfying stay overall. In particular, I would love to enjoy BLUNO’s dishes again.

I stayed here last year and had a great experience, so this was my second visit—and I was very satisfied! First of all, all the front desk staff were very kind. The pillow bar was also much appreciated. This time I noticed that the large public bath has three types of showerheads to choose from, which was fun. The bed mattress was very comfortable as well, but the sound from the air conditioning or possibly the bathroom ventilation fan? was a bit loud and bothered me during the night. Shower caps were only available in the large public bath, but I wanted to use one for showering or washing my face in my Room too, so I wish they were available at the amenities bar. However, when I asked at check-in this time, a kind front desk staff member brought me one. Breakfast is always plentiful as well. I enjoyed various kinds of tempura and takikomi gohan even in the morning. It’s right in front of Kyoto Station, but since it’s a small Hotel, there aren’t any noisy tour groups, which is a relief. The next day I stayed at a certain Resort Hotel in Osaka (priced at 2.5 times this one), but in terms of amenities and provided shampoo and other toiletries, this Hotel was actually better. If you’re not looking for on-site restaurants, a spa, or a gym and just want Accommodation with good value for money, I think this place is excellent.

It had been a while since we last gathered—this time, all our children and grandchildren came together to celebrate my wife’s and my birthdays. We chose a long-established Ryokan located at the gateway to beautiful Nara Park, just a 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station—an ideal meeting point for our family coming from both the Kanto and Kansai regions. The Shosoin-inspired building we had often admired on the way to Nara Park turned out to be Kasuga Hotel. It was our first stay, and it proved to be a wonderful Accommodation that stands at the entrance to historic Nara Park. Here are a few memorable moments from our visit. With its major restoration now underway—the first in about 120 years since FY2022—Kofuku-ji Temple’s National Treasure Five-Story Pagoda will be something we look forward to enjoying again from our Room once the work is completed.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There was only one reason I came to Shirahama: To stay at Kuroshio Sou. When people think of Shirahama, many picture the sea and resorts. But what I found here was Wakayama itself. What moved me most at this Accommodation was not only how outstanding the food was. It was Head Chef Etani’s exceptional skill, and his deep respect for the producers who support every single dish. Fishermen. Farmers. Brewers. Roasters. And the artisans who continue to protect Japan’s fermentation culture. The moment I saw the map of producers introduced alongside the meal, I understood what this Accommodation truly values. Through the cuisine, you encounter not only ingredients, but also the people behind them and Wakayama’s climate and character. I was especially impressed by how delicious the soy sauce and Kinzanji miso were at dinner. When I asked about them, I learned they were from Horigawaya Nomura—a producer with over 350 years of history that still preserves traditional craftsmanship using firewood-heated iron kettles—making both their soy sauce and Kinzanji miso in that way today as well. I had originally planned to visit a different soy sauce brewery, but heavy rain made it impossible. Sometimes, the places you cannot reach end up guiding you to the story you were truly meant to find. For me, Kuroshio Sou was exactly that kind of place. The wonderful Onsen gently healed not only my body, but my mind as well. The quiet comfort throughout the building, Chef Etani’s cuisine, and the hospitality of all staff— together they quietly express this Accommodation’s philosophy in everything it does。 As a former chef from Tasmania, there is something I felt deeply: True hospitality is not just serving delicious food; it is helping guests connect with the people and culture that sustain a place。 I now have one more reason to return to Wakayama。 Thank you again from my heart.

This was a wonderful Accommodation that made my first trip to Niigata truly special. While the building and furnishings showed their age, there were programs where we could enjoy local culture, such as shamisen performances and readings about the snow country, and thoughtful amenities like sake lees face packs, Japanese sake, and coffee, making it an Accommodation where we could fully enjoy Yuzawa. All of the staff, as well as the shamisen instructor, were outstanding. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed with our dog. It was our first time here, and we were so satisfied that we made a Reservation for next year during our stay. There is no Onsen, but the Room was spacious and very clean. The sukiyaki dinner on the first night was outstanding, and it was a new way of eating it for us. We stayed two nights, and we were truly impressed that on the second night not only the main dish but everything from the appetizers onward was a completely different menu. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

This was our first trip as a couple, and we made a Reservation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Since we’re not very experienced travelers, we were nervous at first, but the Ryokan staff were so kind and friendly that our worries quickly disappeared. I’m not usually comfortable with open-air baths, but I worked up the courage to try—and it was truly relaxing and soothing. The changing area was clean and easy to use as well. And the meals we had been looking forward to exceeded all expectations—I was genuinely satisfied from the bottom of my heart! Everything was delicious. There was venison tataki, which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it had no strong taste at all and was truly wonderful. Our attendant explained each dish carefully, which helped us appreciate the ingredients even more—thank you so much. What made us even happier was that they took photos for our anniversary and gave them to us as a gift when we left. The handwritten letter from the proprietress also deeply moved me. This is the first time my heart has felt this full—just like my stomach! We are filled with gratitude for everyone’s thoughtfulness, kindness, and warm support. We will definitely come back again! Thank you very much for everything.

This is a highly recommended glamping Accommodation. Many of the staff are young, and everyone provides outstanding hospitality. They also replied quickly to questions we sent by message before our stay, which made us feel reassured from the start. We visited in mid-July, and since the weather wasn’t great, the temperature didn’t get too high and we stayed comfortable. (On sunny, hot days, it may get a bit warm inside the tent. There is air conditioning, but it’s not very powerful.) Basically, everything you need is provided. (Coleman BBQ grill, charcoal, fire starters, tongs, fan, etc.) This time we stayed on a Plan that included dinner with late check-in. The meal came with beef, chicken, pork, and even game meat—honestly more than enough for a family of four with a teenage boy who eats a lot. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights), they were flexible in helping us store what we couldn’t finish and even switching the next day’s meat to seafood as needed, which was wonderful. Both my spouse and I enjoy alcohol, so we really enjoyed the all-you-can-drink option. The selection was so good it almost felt unfair for an unlimited plan—and we were able to fully savor drinks unique to Hokkaido as well. They also had soft drinks like Hokkaido apple juice and milk (and it was delicious), which our teenage son definitely appreciated. There’s also a toaster so you can warm up bread you buy yourself, and coffee is available both hot and iced—truly attentive service throughout. You do need to leave the tent to use the bath and toilets, but neither felt crowded at all; everyone seemed considerate and kept things clean. It can feel slightly scary if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night (haha), but there are lights everywhere so it still feels safe. There is also a private sauna available for an additional fee; being able to relax there as a family of four may have been our best memory from this trip. Spending quiet time together while listening to the river was truly blissful. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again if I have another chance—thank you very much!

The Room and baths were spacious, and the amenities were well stocked, making our stay very comfortable. We were able to relax at our leisure with the private open-air bath and the indoor Sakakibara Onsen. Since there was no Wi-Fi in the Room, I rated the Facility 4 stars, but it turned out to be a good opportunity to put our phones away and unwind together as a family. Dinner was plentiful—featuring a boat platter of sea bream, spiny lobster, abalone, and amberjack, as well as wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate—and everything was delicious. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation!

This was my third stay, the first in several years. I was truly impressed by the staff’s warm smiles, thoughtful and professional attention to detail, and outstanding hospitality that feels personal to each guest. Thanks to them, I enjoyed a comfortable 3-night, 4-day stay. All of the meals were delicious—the Japanese and Western breakfast options, sea bream chazuke, and the shabu-shabu dinner course. The portions were just right as well. I especially appreciated being able to enjoy everything in my Room. The drink service in the lounge and other touches were also very well considered. The Room was cleaned thoroughly down to every detail, making my stay very pleasant. I’d love to visit again before the new outlet opens next year (while Reservations are still available). We took our first family trip to Awaji Island to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We chose this Accommodation because we love Onsen, and above all, we were drawn to the name “Senshin Waho.” After staying here, it truly became a place we thought, “We absolutely want to come back the next time we visit Awaji Island.” When we arrived, the staff kindly carried our luggage from the car. While listening to the soothing sound of wind chimes, we were served blended tea, and orange juice for our child. Just as we had seen in Reviews, everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. My husband was delighted and said it was “the best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at,” which made me happy too. Our Room had a beautiful ocean view. Simply watching the sea made all our everyday fatigue melt away. Dinner featured many dishes that truly captured Awaji Island, and everything was delicious. Since it was my husband’s birthday, they even prepared a celebration plate for him. Thank you so much for that and for all your warm thoughtfulness. And then the Onsen we had been looking forward to: a rare free-flowing natural hot spring on Awaji Island. There was chlorination and heating, but no added water. There was no noticeable chlorine smell, and the water felt soft and gentle on the skin. The amenities were also from SYMPURTE—one of my favorites. The large public bath even had hair oil available, and their original shampoo/conditioner as well as face & body soap had a pleasant aroma that didn’t overpower the Onsen atmosphere. They provided slippers and yukata for our child, and at meals they arranged seating in a tatami room rather than at the counter. They also noticed that I’m left-handed, and even at breakfast the next morning they quietly accommodated me with thoughtful attention. Every detail of their care meant so much—it really showed how closely the staff pay attention to each guest. Onsen quality, amenities, service, cleanliness, meals—everything exceeded our expectations. The beach just a short walk from the Accommodation was wonderful too: not crowded at all. We collected sea glass with our child and watched the sunset—those simple moments became cherished memories of our trip. The baths were never crowded either; most of the time there were only one or two people there besides us, so we could relax comfortably. This is an Accommodation that makes us want not only to return to Awaji Island again—but specifically to stay at Senshin Waho again. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in our Room. The spacious, beautifully appointed Room, the open-air bath while listening to the gentle sound of the river, and the truly delicious cuisine supported by carefully prepared dashi made for an incredibly luxurious and unforgettable time. Although it was described as “quality over quantity,” we were more than satisfied with the generous portions as well—every dish, including crab and fish, was outstanding and deeply impressive. We visited to celebrate my mother’s retirement, and she was thrilled, saying she had never had such delicious food before. With a bath in the Room and in-room dining, our family was able to unwind at our own pace; we felt completely refreshed and ready to do our best again from tomorrow. The staff were efficient, cheerful, and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much—we would love to visit again!

This was our second stay, and once again it’s a wonderful Accommodation! First of all, the owner at reception? was cheerful and very pleasant. The Room and the bath were both very clean and hygienic. The meals were just the right portion size, easy to digest, and even my elderly parents finished everything (haha). Last time we stayed as a couple and had an upstairs Room, but this time we were given a first-floor Room closest to the bath. I’m sure this was thoughtful consideration for my elderly parents. It really helped us a lot. On departure as well, you kindly took my mother by the hand and chatted with her about various things—she was delighted and seemed completely satisfied. It became a wonderful way to show appreciation to my parents. Thank you so much! Just one thing… The mattress in the bedding was thin, so my body hurt… I know it may sound picky after all your kindness, but I wanted to share it as feedback… We were able to spend a truly memorable time. Thank you very much!

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.

My 88-year-old mother, my sister and I, my daughter, and my two grandchildren—six of us in total (four generations)—stayed one night at Atami Korakuen Hotel. Although we were a wide range of ages, everyone was comfortable, and it was a very satisfying stay. The Shuttle Service bus from Atami Station to the Hotel was extremely helpful. Our Room was an 18-tatami Japanese-style room with large windows, so we could also enjoy the beautiful nighttime view of Atami town. The breakfast and dinner buffet offered a great variety, with everything from dishes my mother likes to kid-friendly options, so everyone enjoyed dining together regardless of age. The freshly grilled dried horse mackerel in particular was delicious. The large public bath also had a baby bath and baby soap available, so we could bathe with our young grandchildren without worry. We truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. When we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi for getting around, they responded quickly and it helped us a lot. This is a Hotel I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone traveling with babies or elderly family members. We would love to stay again as a family. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

We were able to fully enjoy the Onsen in the annex and relax with a leisurely dinner of creative Japanese cuisine. The amenities were well stocked, and there were also activities such as a kids’ playroom, fireworks, and stargazing, making it a family-friendly Accommodation. It would be even better if there were a private dog run.
