While browsing Reviews for an Accommodation where we could stay with our pet, natural Onsen, and dining options, we found Takakatsu and decided to stay there. The hospitality, guest room, water quality, cuisine, and the Onsen town—all were more than satisfying. However, while the amount of food was sufficient for us as a couple, it might feel a bit small for younger guests. We will be back again.

Since dinner isn’t included, there is a shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa Station area, which makes it easy to go out to eat. Even though it’s one Room, the bath and toilet are in the middle, so it feels like the space is divided, which I liked. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options; the Kanazawa curry is delicious, and there are plenty of side dishes too—it's a luxurious breakfast that I really enjoyed. As soon as you enter the Hotel entrance, it smells wonderful, which I loved. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kanazawa.

We visited to enjoy Kasumi crab. The tagged crab was larger and fresher than we expected, and both the quality and quantity were excellent. The staff were cheerful and very pleasant, and they explained Kasumi crab in detail, so we had a comfortable stay. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

I’ve been wanting to visit in every season since my last stay, but our schedules never lined up, so we ended up returning in July again. The cedar-lined path from the Accommodation to Hakone Shrine felt cool and refreshing even under the strong sun, and we were lucky enough to hear the evening cicadas singing—reminding me once again how wonderful Hakone is. Even during dinner we could occasionally hear them; together with the thoughtfully prepared dishes with elegant seasoning and the recommended sake, it made for a truly luxurious time. The next day, after enjoying a healthy breakfast carefully prepared, we were kindly driven to Motohakone Port. From the deck of the pirate ship, we cruised while looking at Mt. Fuji and fully enjoying the cool breeze. We’ll be back again.

The meals, hospitality, Room, views, and bath—everything made for a wonderful stay. I have never had rice this delicious before. The tea was also excellent, and the grilled dried horse mackerel at breakfast was outstanding. In any case, I’m adding this Accommodation to my top five places I want to stay again. I hope to visit again someday. Thank you very much.

It was a very comfortable Accommodation with a high level of satisfaction. In particular, the hostess and staff provided service with just the right sense of distance, which made our stay truly pleasant. My father, who turns 95 this year, was also in great spirits. We will definitely visit again.

From July 20, we stayed for two nights again. We traveled by train with two dogs. We’ve gotten completely used to it now, and that’s all thanks to the warmth and kindness of everyone at the Ryokan. I couldn’t make it without the Shuttle Service from the station. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful Shuttle Service. The meals reflected the season, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I rated the bath 4 stars because the stairs to and from the bath, and the airflow around that area, felt a bit uncomfortable for this time of year. The bath temperature was perfect for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kindness. We’ll be back again.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as the Reviews said. The food, the interior throughout the property, and the furnishings in the guest rooms were all tastefully chosen, and since there were only six groups of guests, we were able to relax even though it was peak season. The staff’s service was also excellent. It was an Accommodation that made us want to come back again after a long time.

All the meals were truly delicious! The splendid alfonsino was especially tasty, and I’m glad I added it. This is a traditional Accommodation, but it didn’t feel old at all—everything was spotless and wonderful. The bath was also great. I was able to relax at a leisurely pace and feel refreshed. My first time on the Oga Peninsula. I was lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation, and it made my summer memories even more special. I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the view, the meals, and the Onsen—but the quality of the Onsen water was especially outstanding. My partner tends to get facial redness from inflammation, and in summer it gets worse, possibly due to UV exposure. After soaking in the Onsen, the redness eased significantly, which made them very happy—they kept using the bath in our Room and even soaked their face repeatedly. If I could add just one request: my partner loves ice cream and tends to prefer Accommodations that offer it as a way to cool down after an Onsen bath. We would have been happy if there had been a small selection of ice cream available in the lounge. Next time, I’d like to visit in a different season.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. In-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room made it a completely private space. The meals were delicious. This Accommodation was great for families with small children, as you can relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about others. It was a bit difficult to do makeup, so having a handheld mirror would be helpful.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

It was a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail. You can see Mount Rishiri from the Onsen and the dining area, and the view is magnificent. Beautiful flowers were arranged throughout the building, and we could feel the careful hospitality in every corner. The meals were delicious, and we are glad we stayed at Hanarebun. The Room was a beautifully renovated guest room with an open-air bath, and I was happy to be able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in the Room as well. The staff were very courteous, and we had a comfortable stay. Dinner was delicious, featuring mainly seafood. We also really enjoyed watching the explanation and live demonstration of Oga Peninsula’s specialty stone-grilled dish. Breakfast was a buffet, and everything was tasty—we were completely full. It was a bit of a long trip, but we made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

On August 7, with concerns about the impact of a strong typhoon, we headed to Kyotango—a trip we had been looking forward to for a long time. Due to my misunderstanding, I entered the entrance at 2:00 PM and found no one at the front desk. Of course—check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Even so, they assisted us right away and guided us to our Room in about 10 minutes. That was where I started causing trouble. I couldn’t wait for the dinner and breakfast that receive rave Reviews. Since we arrived early, I was also the first to use the large public bath. The view of the sea from the open-air bath was incredible. The right edge of the tub had a slope, so I assumed it was thoughtful design for children and elderly guests—but there was an identical slope on the left as well. Looking closer, I noticed the rim of the tub was curved: it was actually designed as a reclining bath. The slopes were made so you could lie back and still see the ocean. I enjoyed it alone, deeply impressed. Afterward, I had a canned beer and some complimentary sake (excellent) in the relaxation area and returned to our Room—then an accident happened: we received news of a death in our close family. After discussing with my wife, we decided to give up on breakfast we had been looking forward to. Since it took about 3 hours and 45 minutes on our way there, we asked at reception if we could leave early in the morning—and they kindly accommodated this as well. Dinner began while my mind was unsettled, but everything from the first appetizer onward was delicious, and my wife and I found ourselves exchanging smiles again and again. Partway through, we were guided outside to watch the sunset from the terrace—body, mind, and palate all completely satisfied. Despite our very early departure time, they even saw us off when we left. I was truly moved. We caused you so much inconvenience—thank you for giving us such an outstanding Accommodation experience.

We visited for a family trip to celebrate our daughter’s marriage. As it was formerly an art museum, we were overwhelmed by the meticulously designed building by Tadao Ando and the many artworks displayed throughout the property. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the pool we had been looking forward to was wonderful—we were able to fully enjoy this extraordinary space. We expected Western cuisine, but instead were delighted by beautifully refined Japanese dishes. The drink pairings matched to each course were perfect, and every dish moved us. The congratulatory wedding cake we had ordered was also truly delicious and became a wonderful keepsake. We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality of all the staff. This is a superb Hotel where architecture, art, and food are all in harmony, and we would love to stay again.

The staff were incredibly friendly and kind! The Onsen was amazing, but what impressed me most was the hospitality. And the kimbap was unbelievably delicious. On the second day they kindly served inari sushi, but I liked it so much I wanted to eat kimbap two days in a row!! The building is old, but it felt like visiting the countryside, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and spotless.

After reading Reviews last year, I stayed here for the first time. I couldn’t forget how comfortable it was, so this year I booked a 2-night Multiple Night Stay. It’s a small Hotel with only six Rooms, but the warm hospitality from the staff and chef, along with the moor Onsen, truly soothed my heart. The private open-air bath was also spacious and open, and we could clearly see the beautiful stars. For dinner last time, I was impressed by the teppan French cuisine—especially the vegetables and Shiraoi beef—so on the first night this time we chose French again. It was just as delicious as before. On the second night, we tried Japanese cuisine for the first time—and it moved me more than I can say. Every dish was filled with unseen care and heartfelt effort; the dashi had an exquisite balance of saltiness and umami. From appetizer to dessert, it was a perfectly composed menu that felt thoroughly thought out. I don’t think you can easily find this level even in Tokyo. The sommelier selected wines and sake to match each dish, which made everything taste even better. The Room was calm and relaxing as well—it became a blissful summer holiday.
