The check-in staff greeted me with a pleasant, genuine smile, and their service made it clear that the company’s hospitality training is excellent. The Room key is a type where you enter using a 6-digit PIN, so once you remember it, it’s convenient when going to the bath since you don’t need to carry anything except a towel, and it also feels secure from a safety standpoint. The Room was small for one person and was mostly taken up by the bed, so doing desk work would be a bit difficult, but if you’re just there to sleep, it was spacious enough. However, I have lower back pain and needed a firmer mattress; my back hurt slightly in the morning, so unfortunately it didn’t suit me. You can choose your preferred pillow next to reception, but I don’t usually use one so I didn’t take advantage of this. I love Onsen and used it three times during my one-night stay; by the second time I could feel benefits strong enough to moisturize my dry skin, so I was satisfied. I would have liked a few more hot dishes at the breakfast buffet. There were several kinds of bread available. The tomato dressing for the salad was delicious. There weren’t many side dishes overall, but considering it as breakfast, I also felt it was sufficient. Overall, with good service, cleanliness, an Onsen on site, and breakfast buffet included at this price range, I think this is a Hotel I can confidently recommend. One thing to note is that there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance from the Hotel for dinner, so you’ll likely want to drive somewhere or buy food in advance for peace of mind. Also, alcohol isn’t sold at the Hotel; if you plan to drink in your Room, I recommend purchasing drinks beforehand.

Last time I only had breakfast, but after hearing great reviews from locals, I tried dinner for the first time—this time it was an oden set meal with braised pork. I noticed this last time as well: the ladle was left in the miso soup pot, which felt unhygienic. Also, the heat from the soup keeps the ladle hot, making it hard to hold and difficult to pour. Sorry for focusing so much on food—it's part of the joy of traveling, so I hope this is helpful. I took a detour to the mouth of the Tone River before checking in; Choshi Ohashi Bridge was truly impressive. The convenience store looks close but is actually a bit far, so it would be nice if there were vending machines inside offering light snacks and sweets. The sincerity of your front desk staff is truly one of a kind.

I’m a repeat guest. I always have a comfortable stay. The Room is clean, and I appreciate the anti-fog section on part of the bathroom mirror. Seeing the little rubber duck in the bath is soothing, even for an older guy.

We traveled from Aichi Prefecture to visit Tottori and Shimane. After sightseeing at Matsue Castle, we made a Reservation at this Ryokan. Even though it was the day of our trip, the front desk staff were very helpful, and the Room and overall environment were excellent.\n\nIf you’re heading from Matsue Castle to Izumo Taisha, I highly recommend this Ryokan.\n\nThe morning clam miso soup was delicious.\n\nI would love to stay again if I have the chance. We stayed in the Nagi Suite for a special milestone trip. The room was not only spacious, but beautifully designed with natural light and shadow, the textures of wood and stone, and a sense of harmony with the surrounding landscape. Simply spending quiet time in the room felt like an experience in itself. The sunset cruise around Ago Bay was also unforgettable—calm waters, scattered islands, and ever-changing light. More than anything, what stayed with us most was the warm atmosphere created by the staff and their heartfelt hospitality. Everyone we met was gentle and pleasant, and their smiles and greetings felt genuinely warm rather than formal. They watched over us discreetly, anticipated what we might need at just the right moments, and kept a comfortable distance when we were relaxing. This thoughtful attention reached every part of our stay. We were also impressed by how carefully information was shared among staff members even when responsibilities or locations changed—it truly felt like everyone shared the same spirit of hospitality. We are deeply grateful as well for the sincere celebration of our milestone. Not only the beautiful property and magnificent nature, but also the kindness and warmth of those who work there made our time at Amanemu truly one of a kind. It has become one of our most memorable stays to date. We hope to return to this peaceful place again someday.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied. There is a supermarket and a drugstore right next door, so shopping is easy. I saw several guests buy dinner and enjoy it at the free bar. I went to a nearby udon restaurant and enjoyed seiro soba and battera, then picked up 20% off deli items at the supermarket and enjoyed drinks in my Room. Both the Room and the large public bath were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was easy to enjoy, and the staff service was excellent. It was a functional and truly wonderful Hotel.

My one-year-old son and I stayed for three nights. The staff were very kind—thank you so much for bringing a chair at breakfast and clearing our tray. We had a wonderful stay. When my son fell, you promptly brought ice and a bandage. There is also a large public bath on the first floor, and the Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, so we slept well. We would love to stay again.

This was my first time staying here. Many of the staff are young and from overseas, but their Japanese is excellent, and I was amazed by how exceptionally polite and attentive their service was. Above all, you can really feel how hard they work. I had a very pleasant stay. In particular, the young woman who explained the meals and the man at the front desk during check-in—both were foreign nationals—and they were simply outstanding. The Ryokan itself has a wonderful traditional atmosphere, and I was very satisfied. We stayed to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, and she was delighted as well! Next time, I’d like to bring my daughter.

I stay here about once a month. The staff and everyone I meet at the Hotel are very kind, and I always enjoy a comfortable stay in the Room.

We were able to use the spa facility both before and after check-in, so we could relax at our own pace—it was very refreshing! Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and we enjoyed different options such as a seafood bowl and ochazuke. We would like to stay again.

As I had only stayed at relatively large ryokan until now, it was a rare and wonderful experience to stay as if living in a Taisho-modern residence. The service was also perfect for me—I feel uncomfortable when there is too much attention, so being able to enjoy lounge drinks whenever I wanted was ideal, and yet whenever I asked for something, someone would promptly come out from the back and help. I think that’s why I was able to relax in this luxurious space as if it were my own home. The room and bath were both excellent, but above all the meals were outstanding—my elderly parents said it was the best they have ever had. The waiter in charge and the chef were friendly, we were given plenty of space at our table, and it became a truly special time. From the moment I tasted the first dish’s dashi at dinner, I knew this would be something special—and every dish through to the last was carefully prepared, exceeding our expectations. Breakfast goes without saying; it was wonderful as well. I would love to visit again. If I may make one request: thinking about my parents getting older in the future, it would be great if there were a Japanese-Western style room with regular beds rather than mattresses laid on the floor. If so, we could keep coming back for years to come!

The service was outstanding, and I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel. All the food and drinks were delicious. On the front desk floor, there were complimentary coffee and cold barley tea, and in the lounge area they even provided ice bars and Yakult for the next morning—everything was thoughtfully prepared. Of course, we also enjoyed the late-night soba. We had no complaints at all and had a wonderful stay.

We drove from Chiba. As an older couple, we chose this Onsen Accommodation so we could leave at a relaxed pace and truly unwind. It was a wonderful place that exceeded our expectations. The detached Room, the bath, and the meals were all outstanding. The meal included an impressive number of dishes, but each portion was thoughtfully sized, so even we were able to finish everything. The next day, we enjoyed the gentle Onsen three times and headed home unhurriedly. This is now on our list of places we definitely want to visit again.

As my parents have gotten older and we don’t know how many more trips we’ll be able to take together, I invited my brother and brought my daughter for a family trip. Because my mother has rheumatoid arthritis, we chose this Accommodation on the conditions that the Room had an open-air bath and that all five of us could stay in the same Room. It turned out to be far better than we imagined. We arrived late for check-in, but we were warmly welcomed and given a courteous explanation. Women can choose their preferred yukata pattern to wear inside the Accommodation. The lobby offered complimentary drinks including alcohol; I had a drink for the first time in 10 years, and it was delicious. There were also three kinds of cookies, all of which we enjoyed. Many of the staff were young, and everyone provided very polite service. Because the Accommodation is small and intimate, we rarely ran into other guests, which allowed us to relax completely. Every meal was excellent. Thank you as well for accommodating my child’s allergies. For breakfast, they served a Western-style option for children, so there were many items my child could eat, which made us very happy. Both the Room and the open-air bath seemed new and were spotless—there is nothing to complain about—but above all else, the view is outstanding. The river flows right in front of you, and you can enjoy it almost privately not only from the lobby but also from your Room. We were truly moved by it. We heard that peak autumn foliage is around early November, so next time I would like to make a Reservation around then if possible. If I may make one request: I would appreciate it if cleansing oil could be provided in the Room. When I asked at reception they kindly brought it right away so it wasn’t an issue in practice; however, some guests may use only the in-room open-air bath without going elsewhere, so I hope you will consider it. Lastly, thank you very much for helping us create such wonderful memories on this trip.

We visited as a couple with our dog. Every staff member was wonderful, and their hospitality made us feel very comfortable. All drinks were free, and we loved being able to enjoy apple juice, Starbucks coffee, and Malts beer in our room. When we mentioned we wanted a café au lait, they kindly offered to bring us milk as well. The room was spacious and spotless. The private open-air bath in the guest room used Ikaho Onsen water, and there was also a bathtub for our dog. When we told them we planned to bathe our dog, they provided dog shampoo, conditioner, and towels. There was also a blower in the washroom area, so drying was easy and comfortable. For humans as well, everything was ReFa—both owners and pets ended up with silky-smooth hair. The basement is a dog run, which is great because you can play even on rainy days (there’s also a paw-washing station). The sofa area for people is very comfortable too. Meals are served in private booths with nameplates, so you can dine together with your dog. There are multiple pet menu options such as venison, chicken, steak, and hamburger steak. Since our dog is small and we worried it might be too much food, they kindly let us take the standard dog bread home unopened. Our dog devoured the venison steak so enthusiastically that he couldn’t even wait properly. We are very sorry that our dog had an accident on the futon. The cleaning fee of 2,980 yen could only be paid in cash. It was an amazing place to stay—highly recommended.

In the Furano area, where prices are often set for international visitors, this Hotel offered good value for the price and quality. I chose a Room that might not be a unit bath type, but unfortunately it ended up being one (understandable, though). Overall, there were many stains, which bothered me—on the floor and on the Room walls as well. Breakfast was properly prepared and I enjoyed it.

For the price, you could say it is what it is—but this was the best sauna I’ve ever experienced at an accommodation. A rounded interior design with fewer corners so hot air doesn’t get trapped, plus löyly every 15 minutes. A relaxation deck and a low-temperature hot-spring jacuzzi to avoid cooling down too quickly, and a glass-fronted setting overlooking the forest. You can really feel the host’s sense of style.

Due to work, I needed to park a truck about the length of a microbus. They allowed me to park in the space behind the Hotel. Before arriving, I called near the Hotel and they kindly gave me directions and waited for me at the entrance. Since it was a completely unfamiliar town, their attentive support made me feel at ease. It was a long trip from Niigata Prefecture, so I was relieved. When I asked because I couldn’t figure out how to operate the Room air conditioner, they explained it carefully. The Room is clean. Breakfast was delicious. At an affordable price, it’s a good Hotel where you can feel safe and rest comfortably.

We visited to enjoy a family vacation. THE HOUSE has wonderful taste. From the moment we stepped inside, we fell in love with the ocean view stretching across the entire window. We were also captivated by the sight of Mt. Fuji glowing in the sunset, and couldn’t stop taking photos. There was an original photo book casually placed there, and when we opened it, inspiring words appeared, which conveyed the lovely thoughts behind this place when it was built. Since it was Golden Week, Aburatsubo and Misaki Port were crowded, but coming back felt like returning to a secluded private villa where we could truly rest and enjoy the quiet. Also, at a Hotel or Ryokan you can feel slightly rushed about breakfast times, so it was great to spend relaxed “THE HOUSE time” without that. Our dog could also stretch out and seemed very happy. Thank you very much.

I stayed here a year ago as well, under unfortunate circumstances. This time, I returned for the first anniversary memorial service. It was very reassuring that the front desk staff member was the same as last year, since I rarely stay at a Hotel alone. When I mentioned it, they said, “I’ll probably be here next year too.” The atmosphere was very welcoming and felt like being back at my family home.
