YU-FURI IZUKOGEN

We fully enjoyed the dogs’ pool, the grassy dog run, the indoor dog run, the starry sky, and the ocean view. The bath and sauna were also very relaxing.Even though unnecessary extra services and meals were stripped away, our satisfaction was even higher.Our dogs were more relaxed than at any other Accommodation—lounging, playing, and sleeping soundly through the night.

Just like in the photos, the Room and windows were spacious, with views of the ocean and greenery, so I had a very comfortable stay. When I had my luggage delivered to the Hotel the day before check-in, it had already been brought to my Room by the time I checked in. They also provided Shuttle Service from the station and called a taxi for me to go to Shaboten Park. Everyone—from the front desk staff to the Shuttle Service driver—was friendly and pleasant. Shaboten Park has many unique animals and species, and you can feed most of them, which is really fun. Since I was with my dog, I only watched, but I would have loved to feed a giraffe myself. Also, at many other hotels it can be quite expensive for solo travelers (perhaps because they prefer not to accommodate one person), so I really appreciated being able to stay alone in such a wonderful Room at an affordable price. I grilled some dried fish for dinner, but there were no plates available, so I used a frying pan as a substitute. It would have been nice if there were one or two paper plates. Since it was just after summer vacation ended, there were few guests, and all three dog runs felt like private use. It was a bit disappointing that there weren’t any dogs for mine to play with, but I used the Onsen about six times and felt refreshed both physically and mentally. The pool was also almost private, and it seemed like even dogs that couldn’t swim were practicing hard together with their owners. If my dog learns to swim by next year, I’d love to come back and let them swim in the pool then too.
