Chishakuin Kaikan

A belated note, but I visited in June. The bellflowers were in bloom, and I was truly delighted. Thank you for the peaceful garden and the calm atmosphere inside the hall, as well as to the kind staff at reception and in the restaurant. The morning service was also a comforting time. I also learned about the Kukai exhibition from a brochure there and went right away. When I visit Kyoto again, I would love to stay at Chishakuin Temple.

I stayed here with my son during our trip to Kyoto. The bath was thoroughly cleaned, and the Facility was clean enough that we were satisfied with our stay. We were able to join the morning service at Chishaku-in Temple, which was deeply moving. Afterward, we were also shown around the garden, which felt like added value beyond what we expected. There is parking available if you arrive by car. However, it was a pity that there are few restaurants in the surrounding area.
