Breezbay Seaside Resort Atami

The food quality was exceptionally high, and it made for a very satisfying stay. Compared with other Hotels in Atami Onsen or buffet dining in Kinugawa Onsen, the overall selection is more modest, but signature dishes like steak and crab are well covered, so you never get tired of it. The welcome service from 3:00 PM (alcohol, oden, Onsen manju, etc.) was also delicious. Breakfast stood out as well—the nikujaga and the freshness of the toppings for the DIY seafood bowl were excellent, and I ended up going back for seconds.Although the staff were from overseas, they were friendly and spoke Japanese well; it actually added a nice touch that helped me forget daily life and truly refresh.The building does feel a bit dated, but the Room and hallways are kept very clean. In particular, I’d give five stars to the fact that each Room has its own air conditioning (new units and outdoor compressors have been installed), so I could stay comfortable without being affected by seasonal centralized switching.Because the large public Onsen bath was under renovation, we had to use private baths or facilities at a sister Hotel—and there was no sauna—which was slightly disappointing (more like 2–3 stars). However, this was more than made up for by the excellent ingredients and the stunning ocean view. A great Hotel for fully enjoying a solo trip.

I was really worried the place might feel run-down, but the tatami area was new and the bathrooms had been renovated, so I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you for the Shuttle Service as well. The complimentary oden was surprisingly delicious. I even enjoyed beer and sparkling wine before dinner. The staff’s smiles were wonderful. The large public bath was under construction and unavailable, so I was worried about whether I’d be able to use the private bath, but everything went smoothly and I managed to use it six times. There was even a shampoo bar—something many women really appreciate. Even though it’s private, it’s spacious, with an ocean view, and I was completely satisfied. What surprised me most was the food: there weren’t a huge number of dishes, but everything tasted great—and at this Accommodation Fee, is it really okay? The crab quality made me worry in a good way: juicy with just the right amount of saltiness. Even compared with the newer Hotel we stayed at the next day, this Hotel’s meals were better. I’ve already made another Reservation for two nights in September.
