Breezbay Seaside Resort Atami

I was really worried the place might feel run-down, but the tatami area was new and the bathrooms had been renovated, so I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you for the Shuttle Service as well. The complimentary oden was surprisingly delicious. I even enjoyed beer and sparkling wine before dinner. The staff’s smiles were wonderful. The large public bath was under construction and unavailable, so I was worried about whether I’d be able to use the private bath, but everything went smoothly and I managed to use it six times. There was even a shampoo bar—something many women really appreciate. Even though it’s private, it’s spacious, with an ocean view, and I was completely satisfied. What surprised me most was the food: there weren’t a huge number of dishes, but everything tasted great—and at this Accommodation Fee, is it really okay? The crab quality made me worry in a good way: juicy with just the right amount of saltiness. Even compared with the newer Hotel we stayed at the next day, this Hotel’s meals were better. I’ve already made another Reservation for two nights in September.

This was my third stay. The large public bath was unavailable due to construction, but we were told we could use the annex bath as well. Since the private baths were more than enough for us, we didn’t use it.The private baths are free and can be used anytime during your stay. I’m not good at choosing a time and making a Reservation, so I really appreciated that.The Room is always a spacious ocean-view Japanese-style room, which feels very relaxing. This time we were on the third floor, so using the stairs made it convenient to get to meals and the baths.There aren’t that many guests at mealtimes, so you don’t end up in long lines, which is nice. The dining area is a reasonable size, so even if you’re seated in a back room it’s not too much trouble to go and get food.We chose the hot pot set; the meat was incredibly tender and delicious, but there was so much that we couldn’t finish it. It also came with crab—was it king crab? It was very tasty and we were completely satisfied.The buffet also had crab and steak—more than we could possibly eat. The pineapple and orange desserts were delicious too.Breakfast was excellent as well. If I had one complaint, it would be that the rice bowls are small. If you serve your usual portion it ends up heaping full, and younger guests seem to go back for refills multiple times. I think regular-sized bowls would make it easier to eat.Most of the staff are foreign nationals, but they always greet guests cheerfully, which feels great.The price is affordable for how satisfying everything is, so I’d like to stay again. That said, maybe because this Accommodation is popular, it can be hard to secure a Reservation—so if there’s availability, you’re lucky!
