Maiko Koen Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan

This was our first trip with our beloved dog, who is like family to us. We were completely satisfied with everything—the clean and beautifully maintained living room, kitchen, bedroom, wood deck, and dog run—and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The water facilities, toilet, and bathroom were also spotless, like new, and very comfortable to use. We would love to visit again soon. Thank you very much.

The meals, Facility, amenities, and the staff’s service were all truly wonderful. On both Day 1 and Day 2, we could enter and exit SeaWorld freely, and we were grateful to also receive a ¥3,000 shopping voucher as part of the 60-day advance booking benefit. We would definitely love to visit again.

The first Hotel in Japan to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). The highest level of comfort! They promptly accommodated a sudden Room change and provided wonderfully courteous service. Thank you very much. The same attendant as last time assisted us again, and everyone was delighted with the consistently excellent service. The Hotel’s atmosphere and the staff are always polite and kind—truly outstanding! We will definitely stay again.

Convenient location The Room was compact yet very functional, and I had a very comfortable stay. On one day with strong winds, I could hear a bit of wind noise, but it was quiet once the wind died down. I appreciated the free parking.

I stay here for about three nights around the same time every year, and the Hotel’s sincere hospitality never changes. They respond quickly even to minor issues, and their courteous service remains a consistent highlight. The well-rounded breakfast is another constant, as is the afternoon drink service—I'm impressed that they maintain such a high level of hospitality. I sometimes read Reviews of other hotels saying, “It wasn’t like this before,” but this Hotel never leaves me with that kind of disappointment. Overall, you can really feel the quality of this Hotel. It has everything that makes me want to choose it again for my next stay in Kobe.

Despite the continued hot weather, the herb garden was beautifully maintained and filled with many flowers and herbs. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared dish by dish—beautifully presented and delicious. Truly worthy of an auberge. We also enjoyed the carefully selected furnishings in the Room and the tableware in the restaurant. Although you wouldn’t expect it from the exterior, the hinoki bath and ReFa shower were wonderful, allowing us to relax completely. Even with many young staff members, the hospitality was outstanding. The vegan cookies in the lounge were so good that I meant to buy some as a souvenir, but I forgot—what a shame. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We would love to visit again.

Because of the great Reviews, I’d been interested in Maiko Villa for a long time, and I was finally able to stay there. The entrance was luxurious, and although the building should be old, everything inside was very clean. Our Room was a view-bath twin. The Room itself is a standard twin Room, but the moment I stepped into the bathroom, I was amazed. It’s a view you could watch all day and night. We chose the buffet dinner plan, and there was a wide variety—every dish was delicious. There were also many kinds of desserts; I almost wished I had another stomach. In the morning it was a bit crowded with many foreign tour groups, but overall it was a very satisfying Hotel stay. This time we visited during heavy rain, so next time I’d like to come back on a clear day to see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Thank you for taking care of us.

We stayed with two adults and two dogs. On the way there, our navigation system guided us on a detour and we arrived via a very narrow road, but after the staff explained the route, we found that if you exit onto the road right in front, you’re immediately on a main road and it’s very close to the Awaji Interchange—an excellent location. Our dogs had a great time running around both in the shared dog run Room and in the run. The complimentary drinks at the shared run were much appreciated. For dinner at Genpei, the anago (conger eel) hot pot and sashimi were outstanding, with generous portions—absolutely delicious (lol). In summer, most vacation rentals have lots of insects, but there were very few this time, which was great. Proper insect control measures are clearly in place. The staff were also wonderful and kindly helped us throughout—thank you very much. We’ll definitely come back again.

This is my second stay. It’s a 10-minute train ride to Sannomiya, close to the nearest station, Shin-Nagata Station, and both the Room and Facility are clean. The staff are very courteous, and the breakfast is excellent. I’d like to stay here again next time.

We stayed here for our family summer vacation trip. The red flower chairs in the lobby were memorable, and although it is an older Hotel, you can tell it is kept very clean and well maintained. The room was bright and very spacious, and the walk-in closet with a desk was extremely convenient. The mint-green bathroom vanity really lifted my mood. The twin-room beds were 150 cm wide, so we could comfortably do Child Sharing Existing Bedding with our child. I had hoped to enjoy a bath in the view bath while watching the sunrise, but the only downside was that the weather was so good that the morning sun was too strong to open the screen. The staff were kind and calm, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing summer vacation. As expected, Okura Nikko is a reliable Hotel that never disappoints.

No matter when you stay, the thorough cleaning makes it a comfortable place to spend time. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you won’t have any trouble, and BBQ tools are also provided. When we met the staff at the gate at checkout, they kindly saw us off, and we felt great until the very end—we’d love to stay again!

I was shown to a Room larger than expected. Since I planned to work remotely in the Hotel, the large desk was a huge help! Also, I really enjoyed the complimentary tea, coffee, and black tea in the lobby. I also appreciated being able to borrow bath salts and a rubber duck. It was very comfortable, and I’d love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you!

Perhaps because we stayed on the Sunday after the Obon holidays, the price was very reasonable. It was close to the station, and the Room had a large sofa, so we could relax and enjoy our stay. If I had to mention one issue—partly because we hadn’t properly completed our Check Reservation—our booking was listed as one male and one female instead of two females. We informed staff at check-in, but the loungewear prepared in the Room remained set for a male and a female. Even if it wasn’t needed, I would have appreciated it being checked. (Since we didn’t notice until bath time, my daughter slept in her clothes for the next day.)

We stayed with our dog. It was our first time here, and we were so satisfied that we made a Reservation for next year during our stay. There is no Onsen, but the Room was spacious and very clean. The sukiyaki dinner on the first night was outstanding, and it was a new way of eating it for us. We stayed two nights, and we were truly impressed that on the second night not only the main dish but everything from the appetizers onward was a completely different menu. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

It was a great Hotel. Because it’s new, it was very clean, and best of all, the bath, toilet, and washbasin were separate, and the bed was spacious. The front desk staff were also kind. The only disappointment was that although the breakfast buffet is available until 9:30, popular items were almost gone before 9:00 and didn’t seem to be replenished much. There were no sweets left at all.

We took our first family trip to Awaji Island to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We chose this Accommodation because we love Onsen, and above all, we were drawn to the name “Senshin Waho.” After staying here, it truly became a place we thought, “We absolutely want to come back the next time we visit Awaji Island.” When we arrived, the staff kindly carried our luggage from the car. While listening to the soothing sound of wind chimes, we were served blended tea, and orange juice for our child. Just as we had seen in Reviews, everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. My husband was delighted and said it was “the best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at,” which made me happy too. Our Room had a beautiful ocean view. Simply watching the sea made all our everyday fatigue melt away. Dinner featured many dishes that truly captured Awaji Island, and everything was delicious. Since it was my husband’s birthday, they even prepared a celebration plate for him. Thank you so much for that and for all your warm thoughtfulness. And then the Onsen we had been looking forward to: a rare free-flowing natural hot spring on Awaji Island. There was chlorination and heating, but no added water. There was no noticeable chlorine smell, and the water felt soft and gentle on the skin. The amenities were also from SYMPURTE—one of my favorites. The large public bath even had hair oil available, and their original shampoo/conditioner as well as face & body soap had a pleasant aroma that didn’t overpower the Onsen atmosphere. They provided slippers and yukata for our child, and at meals they arranged seating in a tatami room rather than at the counter. They also noticed that I’m left-handed, and even at breakfast the next morning they quietly accommodated me with thoughtful attention. Every detail of their care meant so much—it really showed how closely the staff pay attention to each guest. Onsen quality, amenities, service, cleanliness, meals—everything exceeded our expectations. The beach just a short walk from the Accommodation was wonderful too: not crowded at all. We collected sea glass with our child and watched the sunset—those simple moments became cherished memories of our trip. The baths were never crowded either; most of the time there were only one or two people there besides us, so we could relax comfortably. This is an Accommodation that makes us want not only to return to Awaji Island again—but specifically to stay at Senshin Waho again. Thank you very much.

We had a relaxing Obon holiday. Thank you very much. I can’t eat a lot at my age, but the steak, roast beef, and sushi were all delicious. It was also great that the sushi was made fresh on the spot. Since we were on an upper floor, the view was wonderful, and the spacious Room was very comfortable. The Room felt clean and well maintained, with thorough housekeeping. We’re already talking about coming back again.

We booked this place because our trip was decided at the last minute and only one Room was available. It was incredibly affordable!! After making the Reservation, we read some Reviews and felt a bit uneasy… but once we actually stayed, it was great. When we arrived near the Hotel and were wondering if this was the parking lot, a staff member ran out from inside the Hotel to guide us—what a surprise!! Their response was so quick it made us wonder how they even noticed us. We were truly impressed. The triple Room was spacious, with a large TV and even a sofa—perfect. The breakfast buffet had just the right amount and we were satisfied. If there’s too much variety, you end up overthinking and overeating, so that balance was ideal. For anyone considering staying here, we highly recommend it.

I stayed here for the first time for my once-a-year baseball game at Hotto Motto Field Kobe. Usually, I check in, head to the stadium, and come back to the Hotel late at night. This time, unfortunately, the game was canceled due to rain and I was very disappointed—but choosing to stay here turned out to be absolutely the right decision. There was so much to enjoy from the 7th to the 18th floors. The staff were also excellent, and I was satisfied with everything.

We stayed at Bianco last year, so this year we chose Nero. Last year it rained at times, but this year we had great weather, so we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi from check-in onward. The BBQ meat was very tender and delicious. Both the staff and the Yamato delivery driver were very kind, making it an unforgettable experience—thank you so much. Our children had been looking forward to it for a long time, so we’re really glad we stayed here again this year. We will stay again.
