Around Aharen Beach × Stays Popular For SunsetsHighly rated for customer service and hospitality at Hotel·Ryokan

This was my first visit to Zamami Island.\n\nI believe the island’s charm lies in its stunning Kerama Blue sea and the simple, unspoiled feel of a village that has not been overly developed as a resort. While many Accommodations here are older, guesthouse-style places, this Hotel was stylish and very clean.\n\nI had seen some Reviews saying the Room was small, but it had calm, blue-toned interiors that felt relaxing, and we could also see the harbor from the window. Despite the listed square meters, there was a comfortable layout with a spacious bathroom as well, so it did not feel cramped at all.\n\nThey also provided Shuttle Service to the port (thank you so much—we had a lot of luggage), and all staff were very kind. I also appreciated being able to take a hot shower even after checkout, which allowed us to fully enjoy the beach until departure.\n\nDue to ferry cancellations we could only stay one night, but I think it would be perfect for a Multiple Night Stay to relax and take things slow.\n\nThank you very much.

I stayed for one night in August. It’s a container house, but it’s comfortable inside with air conditioning, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a full unit bath. Because it’s a container, footsteps echoed quite a bit. Yuhina Beach is nearby, and the sunset is very beautiful. The staff were very kind; I asked to change the pickup time to the port on the day of arrival, and they happily accommodated my request. They also run a diving shop, so I’d like to try diving next time.

This was my first stay on a remote Okinawan island. I debated choosing a large hotel, but I’m very glad I chose this one. First of all, the location is outstanding. The ocean is right in front of you, and both the pool and bathtub overlook the sea. In the evening, Kerama deer come to feed in front of the hotel, and island cats also stop by. Meals were served freshly prepared at just the right timing, and the staff kindly let us know about the free-drink hours. Everything tasted wonderful. The staff were very friendly, and since most other guests were international travelers, it also felt like being on an overseas trip. There are a few places I’d like to return to, and this has become one of them. If you’re visiting Aka Island, I highly recommend it. One note: if the weather is bad there isn’t much you can do, so be sure to purchase travel insurance.

I visited in early spring and early summer before, but this was my first time staying during midsummer. Despite expecting large crowds, the Hotel staff's prompt responses and thoughtful care allowed me to enjoy a relaxing stay without any issues. The beach was relatively crowded, but I could leisurely enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the morning or evening. The restaurant service and meal quality were consistently excellent, offering a wide variety of Japanese-Western fusion dishes that changed daily. The marine services were also well-equipped, allowing me to enjoy various sports within the Hotel premises. I would definitely like to visit again!

The owner is a woman, and many of the staff are women as well, so female guests can feel at ease. The breakfast and dinner prices at arrival were different from what they were at the time of Reservation, so it seems the rates had been raised without notice. The futon bedding is quite simple, so opinions may vary. Google Reviews can be a bit harsh, but the Accommodation staff were kind, everything was kept very clean, and it felt like staying at a cozy countryside guesthouse—overall comfortable enough. There were guests from many countries, but everyone was quiet and well-mannered. You can’t see the sea from the Accommodation, but Aharen Beach is only a 2–3 minute walk away.
