Within walking distance to "Kiyomizu Temple" and "Yasaka Tower" in Kyoto. A renovated Kyoto Machiya house turned into a modern Japanese-style property, exclusively for one group per day. Features three Japanese and Western-style bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, and two toilets, offering a luxurious and spacious stay for large groups. The second floor includes both a Japanese-style room with futons and a Western-style room with beds. The kitchen with an IH stove allows for enjoyable cooking. "Shibashi Umeyacho" is located in the Higashiyama area, where many Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki kilns are concentrated. This area, where Higashiyama Roku is located, is called "Rokuhara," and nearby are Rokuharamitsu-ji Temple, Rokkaku-no-Tsuji, and Rokuhara Chinko-ji Temple. A Kyo-machiya, completed in Taisho 3 (1914), has been carefully restored by skilled craftsmen, preserving its original exterior. Inside the building, features such as fittings and transoms, which have been cherished by generations of owners, reflect over 100 years of history. We have created a serene space where guests staying at the Property can also feel a connection to the time when the building was originally constructed. The Rooms at Higashiyama Roku have been designed under the supervision of washi paper designer Eriko Horiki, who created washi light walls and lighting, offering a space where guests can enjoy the subtle shadows, the charm, and the transitions of a machiya. The lighting and Shigaraki ware round bathtubs, supervised by washi designer Eriko Horiki, as well as the noren (curtain) featuring calligraphy by Hina Aoyagi, the director of the Hokuriku Calligraphy Institute, are just some of the carefully curated details found throughout.

The first floor retains the traditional "eel bed" layout of a Kyoto townhouse while creating an open space by removing partitions. Both are within a 10-minute walk, and you can easily find kimono rental shops and rickshaws in the surrounding area. Inside the Room, there is a tatami bedroom and a dining Room facing a small garden. Perfect for couples to spend a relaxing time together! Kitchen utensils are also provided. A coffee maker is available, and we offer Italian coffee beans. Brew a delicious cup of coffee and enjoy a luxurious moment. 15 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station, and a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. A 10-minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. We have divided one large townhouse into three separate townhouses, but each Property is completely private with its own entrance, bathroom, and toilet. Rest assured. Why not wear a kimono and explore Kyoto's famous sights? Although situated in the heart of the tourist area, the Property is very quiet as it faces a small street. The highlight of this machiya is the "bath." Relax your travel-weary body while gazing at the small courtyard. This two-story machiya is rented out as an entire Property. The first floor features a living room and kitchen space, while the second floor has a traditional Japanese-style bedroom. Renovated from a machiya over 100 years old, you can still feel the charm of its traditional atmosphere. Make your usual Kyoto trip feel even more authentic! While the large machiya is divided into three separate accommodations, each Property offers a completely private entrance, bath, and toilet.

While preserving the charm of the traditional townhouse, such as low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs, we have renovated the water facilities to ensure a comfortable stay.
