Nestled at the foot of majestic Mt. Nantai and overlooking the tranquil Lake Chuzenji up close, our Hotel invites you to relax and savor the colors of each season at an unhurried pace. Enjoy our dining room in chic tones designed for comfortable meals, a lobby with a fireplace that values quiet conversation, a library lounge where you can escape the city bustle and enjoy time flowing gently, and an expanded open-air bath offering soothing spa moments—Okunikko Hotel Shikisai continues to evolve.
Inspired by the calming comfort of flowers and envisioned as a peaceful retreat, Hotel Hana-an was born. Inside the Hotel, we offer a library space where guests can relax and enjoy reading, and every Room features seasonal views of Lake Chuzenji.
The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko is a luxury resort nestled in harmony with the untouched nature of Oku-Nikko, offering a stunning location overlooking Lake Chuzenji and Mount Nantai. The design incorporates the traditional craftsmanship of Tochigi Prefecture, and the guest rooms feature elements such as lounge areas inspired by the engawa of Japanese homes, embodying the delicate minimalism of Japan throughout. The resort also boasts the first-ever Onsen Facility under The Ritz-Carlton brand, where the open-air baths allow guests to unwind with the soothing breeze and the scent of the surrounding trees.
The bath facilities include two indoor baths, an open-air dome bath, and three open-air baths in separate areas. There is no gender distinction, and all baths are available for private use, allowing you to relax at your own pace. You may need to wait for your desired Onsen, but you can check the usage status and elapsed time on the electronic bulletin board in front of your Room. Our Property is entirely non-smoking, with designated smoking areas only at the entrance and terrace. The building is a two-story structure located on a slope, with multiple staircases of about 5 to 9 steps, making it far from barrier-free and without an elevator. Please take this into consideration when making your Reservation. The entrance is auto-locked, but staff will respond promptly via the intercom. We believe this provides good security. Unlike full-service Ryokan or Hotels, our Property offers a unique atmosphere, resembling a villa with a resident manager and chef.At our Property, guests are encouraged to wear loungewear instead of yukata. You are welcome to dine in your loungewear or casual clothes, whichever you prefer. In Oku-Nikko, there is a risk of snow and ice from mid-November, so if you are arriving by car, please equip studless tires or inquire about road conditions by phone. As it is located within a national park, snow removal is conducted perfectly 24 hours a day, so you should have no issues arriving as long as your car is equipped with studless tires.
