I stayed here because it is close to Chuson-ji Temple. Even considering that it has only recently been renovated, the entire property—including the Room, Onsen, and shared areas—was kept very clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. The meals were excellent, and I was very satisfied to enjoy local specialties such as Maesawa beef steak, Sanriku seafood, Hatto soup, and Horohoro-zuke pickles. I would love to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

My husband, our daughter, and I stayed as a family of three. Dinner was luxurious and every dish was delicious, and the hospitality from all the staff was wonderful. We could truly feel your warm desire for us to enjoy the meal. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip to Iwate. Thank you very much.

Shizukatei True to its name, this Accommodation was wonderfully quiet and relaxing, far removed from any hustle and bustle, and surrounded by peaceful rural scenery. The road to the Accommodation was a narrow farm lane where passing other cars required care, but clear signs were placed at key points, and as we got closer, banners guided us along the route. Soba-an I had high expectations for the 80/20 soba served at dinner, but it easily surpassed them—it was exceptionally delicious. In addition, many dishes were prepared using plenty of seasonal vegetables, carefully cooked and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a wide variety of flavors and textures, as well as the visual appeal. Breakfast was also an excellent Japanese set meal with plenty of vegetables and a generous number of dishes. Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen The free-flowing natural Onsen water was a little hot, but we thoroughly enjoyed it together with the open-air bath. Finally, what impressed me most during this stay was the staff. From check-in to being shown to our Room; since dinner was served in-room, their smooth service and efficient delivery; after the meal, clearing everything away and then laying out the futons with equally outstanding efficiency; checkout was completed without any waiting time, and they even came outside to see us off afterward. This was our first visit during Golden Week as part of a family trip service day, and my family was truly happy and satisfied. We were deeply impressed by the professionalism of everyone involved.

I came to Iwate with my eldest daughter for the birth of my second daughter. It was also my first grandchild, and a long-awaited trip with my eldest daughter. Since we were going all the way to Iwate, I looked for a Ryokan. I chose this property because of its convenient access from the station and its charming atmosphere. We splurged a little on dinner, enjoyed the meal, and had great conversation. The bath was very relaxing. We also enjoyed the late-night ramen—it was delicious. We had a wonderful trip.

Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including local ingredients and Hatto-jiru soup. Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet with soba noodles and yogurt as well, and everything was delicious. The staff were kind and courteous. The Hotel is old but well maintained. It’s quite a walk to the Onsen, but there are rest areas along the way, showing thoughtful consideration. In the Room, having two kettles (hot and cold) along with tea snacks was a welcome service.

Following my visit to Chuson-ji in April, I had another chance to go and stayed here again. In April, we were happy to stay at a reasonable price in a 1st-floor Room in the annex, so this time we booked two Rooms with dinner and breakfast included. This time, both Rooms were on the 4th floor with a great view, which was wonderful. Thank you again, and we look forward to staying with you next time.

This is a stately, traditional Hotel. Even the hallway carpets evoke a sense of its history. The baths were very spacious and relaxing. Since a lift is installed on the stairs leading to the baths, they can be used by guests with limited mobility or elderly guests as well. The open-air bath was also wonderfully open, and we could hear the sound of the river flowing through Genbikei Gorge nearby, which made it especially relaxing. The meals were carefully prepared. Breakfast in particular featured a wide variety of items beautifully arranged, making it both delicious and enjoyable. As we traveled by Shinkansen this time, we really appreciated the Shuttle Service bus to Ichinoseki Station. We also heard that you place special emphasis on Chinese cuisine, so I would like to try it on our next stay.

From the moment we checked in, we were impressed by how thoroughly cleaned and spotless the cottage was. The front desk staff explained everything politely, and the atmosphere was perfect. Unfortunately, it rained so we couldn’t enjoy an outdoor BBQ or a campfire, but we’d love to come back and try again next time.

Based on the review, I chose the plan with Maesawa beef lean rump meat and an onsen ticket. Despite being lean, the meat was moderately marbled, thick, and satisfying. Since it's a self-grill style, I could enjoy it to the fullest with my preferred level of doneness. The other dishes were as delicious as the reviews said, and I found myself in a luxurious situation where I had to be careful not to overeat the delicious new rice. The property and room themselves are not new, but they are clean, and the staff was accommodating with delays in check-in and changes in meal times, making it a comfortable stay.

This was my second visit. The wonderful Onsen where you can soak comfortably without overheating, the dinner that was enjoyable both in taste and presentation, and the consistently pleasant hospitality and service from the staff were all just as great as before. I had previously requested pockets in the in-house loungewear, and I was delighted to find they provided a small pouch instead—perfect for carrying a smartphone and room key. It’s truly impressive how thoughtfully they consider guests’ comfort. Now I’m already wondering when I should come again.

When I stepped into the Onsen, it felt silky—almost like a lotion on my skin! It left my skin wonderfully moisturized. I didn’t have meals included, but there were complimentary services such as coffee, and I was able to relax very comfortably.

I stayed here on a solo trip. It was close to the station, which was very convenient since I was traveling by train and on foot. The Room was spacious and relaxing, and it helped me recover from travel fatigue. Breakfast had a gentle flavor and was very delicious. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had the pleasure of staying here for our first family trip with five members. When it seemed like we might not make it in time for check-in, the staff responded kindly when we contacted them. The reception staff were very friendly, and since we had mentioned in advance that we wanted to use a private bath, they kindly guided us to a slightly larger one! Although we didn’t order dinner in advance, we purchased meal tickets and enjoyed various dishes—all of which were delicious! Next time, I’d love to stay with meals included. The private bath made my skin feel smooth and left me feeling wonderfully warm. Personally, I’m a fan of apple vinegar drinks, so I was delighted by the vending machine offering single servings! There was an issue before check-out that caused some inconvenience on our part, but the staff handled it with great kindness. We were able to enjoy a truly comfortable stay ("azumashiku"). Thank you so much for everything—when visiting Iwate again, we'll definitely choose this place!
