■ Konjakuso Osaka Tempozan - Sakura - This area, Tempozan, is located at the mouth of the Ajigawa River. It was created in 1831 and 1832 by dredging the river on a large scale and piling up the dredged soil to form a mountain. At 4.53 meters high, it is said to be Japan's lowest mountain. Tempozan is a scenic spot blessed with views of mountains and sea from all directions. Pine and cherry trees were planted here, along with tea houses and observation pavilions, making it a popular relaxation spot for locals in the past. The name "Bentencho" originates from Benzaiten, the only goddess among the Seven Lucky Gods. In 1698 (Genroku 11), "Ichioka Shinden," the largest reclaimed land in Osaka Bay, was developed in what is now Minato Ward, Osaka City. However, even after its completion, frequent flooding caused devastation to the fields and farmland. To calm these floods, Benzaiten—a deity deeply connected to water—was enshrined at a meeting hall that served as a base for this reclaimed land. Inspired by the water goddess Benzaiten, our Facility has been designed with a theme of "beauty and water."
