"Kinokawa Onsen Registered Tangible Cultural Property Inn Mikiyama" is a Japanese Ryokan with a 300-year history, located in the heart of the nostalgic Japanese Onsen town, Kinokawa Onsen. Renowned author Naoya Shiga made this Property his regular stay, where his famous short story "At Kinosaki" was born. The wooden architecture, built in 1927 and recognized as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, along with a 300-tsubo Japanese garden, retains its charm. In November 2013, the Property underwent a major renovation of its lobby, dining area, and large public bath, transforming into a modern Japanese Ryokan that blends history with contemporary design.From the Room's veranda, guests can enjoy the changing seasons in the garden, or lose themselves in a book in the library. After changing into a yukata, take a leisurely stroll to explore the local Onsen baths, and then savor the delights of the Sea of Japan paired with local sake in the modern dining area. Located at the northern foothills of the lush Rokko Mountain, Arima Onsen. The clear streams emerging from deep valleys reflect the greenery and autumn leaves of the changing seasons, blending with the charm of the Onsen. The stone walls and sloping streets evoke the history and romance of a town that has flourished since ancient times, as recorded in the Nihon Shoki. Among them, our establishment, once known as "Kita no Bo," was bestowed the name "Hyoe" by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and we welcome you with the utmost hospitality preserved and passed down through the ages.

This is a Ryokan located in the center of the Onsen town. It faces the Ōtani River and a row of willow trees, situated between Ichinoyu and Yanagiyu. You can enjoy visiting outdoor baths even on rainy or snowy days. Summer fireworks can be seen immediately upon stepping out of the entrance. All rooms are Japanese-style, equipped with air conditioning, toilets with bidets, and air purifiers. The men's bath includes an open-air bath. Colorful yukata rentals are available, and plans featuring Matsuba crab are offered.

Our Property aims to be a Hotel-style Ryokan offering No Meals Included with breakfast only, and we do not provide dinner. For dinner, we hope you will explore the town of Kinosaki and enjoy local gourmet dishes at various delicious restaurants. If you are unsure where to go, please feel free to ask us, and we will be happy to assist you. For breakfast, we prepare a simple and comforting meal. We serve freshly cooked rice made from Tajima-grown rice, known as some of the best in Hyogo, along with miso soup and local free-range eggs. Additionally, we offer a private Finnish-style sauna for exclusive use. Not only can you enjoy the public Onsen hopping in the town, but you can also relax and rejuvenate thoroughly—perfect for sauna enthusiasts. Located 350m from Kinosaki Onsen Station along the main street, just a 5-minute walk.
